If you have Sproles and LT I'd probably hold onto Sproles as a handcuff. If I had Sproles and no LT I'd look to deal him as quickly as possible. Norv Turner made an extremely telling quote a few days ago regarding Sproles usage when LT returns. I've posted it in this forum already in an LT discussion and everyone just ignored the comment which I don't really understand. Norv basically was defending using Sproles so much right now because he has no other choice and said that he knows he'll later be questioned as to why Sproles is not being used enough when LT returns. If you want to call this "coachspeak" that's your call but I don't see it as that. Here is the quote from an article in the SD Tribune Review: “Over a long period of time that (would be) a concern,” Turner said of the 5-foot-6, 185-pound Sproles' heavy workload. “But I know how it's going to work. When LT comes back, it's going to be, 'How come Sproles isn't getting more (touches)?' We're in a situation where we need to do everything we can to be productive.”
