This is in no way a validation of Richardson's talent, or lack there of, depending on what camp you're in. These are normal learning curve issues. Richardson is learning on the go. No matter how talented you are, that will slow you down on the field. If you aren't confident in you're assignment you will not complete it to your full potential.

I get all that, but still... The guy played the entire year last season with injuries. He wasn't at full speed. Now, he's on a new team and learning on the run. It's still a pretty small sample size and Richardson has had a lot going on throughout it. It's way too early to right him off IMO.

these are all legitimate arguments for mediocre performance, but your opinion is your opinion.

sure the ypc isn't there but this guy knows how to get in the end zone and the volume for work is there and on a good team. I still think he finishes as a top 10 rb. perhaps that's is a disappointment for what most were expecting.

Trent was a 5 star recruit out of HS who impressed from day one at Alabama and had no character questions.

The only real warning sign was Ingram's rookie year but it was easy to blow that off since Trent looked way better than Ingram at Alabama.

If you watched any of the Indy games this year and the browns game earlier, they either show run and stack 9 in the box because it is so obvious, or he is the only weapon on the field (Like in the Browns game) and they stacked 10 with 1 deep safety. Like others have said, let him learn a new system. If he fails to improve by the end of the season, call him a bust. But right now, its premature.

His missed tackles are great, problem is, he doesn't go anywhere after he sheds a tackler.

Half his yards come after contact, but that isn't saying much when you dance around at the line of scrimmage, get hit, then fall forward for a yard.
