I was going to suggest including an eye patch in this story somehow, but instead I just decided to read the thread with one on.

We rented a place in the mountains of NC.  Great place 40 acres of tree farms.   So we have the place until Monday but wife after drinking sunday thinks we should head home.

Maybe you need to up the woo levels by hugging more.

Although to be fair your story starting out sounds more like Deliverance than a romantic getaway/
