I’m sure they say the same thing about you.....he’s a sweet old man, just keep him away from politics. She reminds me of some of my family members. I’m sure she’s a sweet old lady. Just keep her away from politics.
I’m an old man for sure. I don’t know how sweet I am.I’m sure they say the same thing about you.....he’s a sweet old man, just keep him away from politics.
I didn’t watch the clip you posted but did watch the interview last night.I only saw the 2 minute clip I linked where Maher got bodied. I do like he’s not a prisoner to his liberal base and actually has opposing views on.
This is why I can watch people like Maher and Chris Matthews from the left and also can appreciate a Tucker Carlson from the right. You know which end of the spectrum they are on but they don't speak 100% in lock-step with that ideology. It shows they at least put thought into their viewpoints versus just spewing the standard talking points.Bannon didn’t really answer any tough questions. He just rambled and talked very fast often through the interview.
When asked about the deficit he deflected, no answer.
When asked about why the government handing out 24 Bil to farmers isn’t considered Socialism like it was with the auto bailouts he just smiled, no answer.
Maher will have anyone on that show. He doesn’t give #### what any group thinks. He bashes the PC crowd every week.
Haven’t seen much Matthews in awhile and can’t take much of Tucker but I do love Maher’s show for the reasons you said and because he gets good guests, they don’t break for commercials, can discuss stuff with less filters and his writers of his New Rules thing at the end are usually pretty great. This is why I can watch people like Maher and Chris Matthews from the left and also can appreciate a Tucker Carlson from the right. That was a pathetic response by Maher. But Bannon makes it too simple, so Hillary took the Midwest states for granted, ok so just don’t.Probably could be it’s own thread, but sloppy Steve went on with Bill Maher last night and just destroyed him and the crowd. Of course Bill Maher is in trouble from his base for actually having him on.

https://www.news4jax.com/news/local/2020/02/08/police-van-drives-through-republican-partys-voter-registration-tent/JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Hours after a van plowed through a Republican Party tent where volunteers were registering voters, Jacksonville police arrested a 27-year-year man on two counts of aggravated assault on a person over 65 years old, criminal mischief and driving without a license.
Gregory William Loel Timm was identified as the person behind the wheel of the van that struck the tent set up the parking lot of a Walmart Superstore at the corner of Atlantic and Kernan boulevards about 3:50 p.m. Saturday.
Timm is accused of pulling up, driving through the tent and striking their tables.
“It happened so quickly,” said Nina Williams, a volunteer. “I just barely got out of the way.”
According to Lt. Larry Gayle said after driving through the tent, the driver, now identified as Timm, stopped, took a video and “flipped off” the people who were inside the tent before driving away. Investigators are monitoring social media to see if the video shows up.
“We don’t know if this is politically motivated,” Gayle said. “We’ve got detectives coming out. We’re following up on information and trying to determine if we can identify this person right now.”
While police weren’t ready to make that connection, the incident was quickly condemned as a political attack by both Republican and Democratic leaders in Jacksonville, Florida’s two U.S. Senators, and even President Donald Trump.
Sens. Marco Rubio and Rick Scott both called the attack “politically motivated," with Rubio tweeting, “Thanking God that no one was injured.” Scott echoed that in his own tweet, adding, " @DuvalGOP will not be silenced or intimidated. They will redouble their efforts to support strong Republicans in NE Florida and around the state!"
He was also grinning like the Cheshire Cat and did nothing but deflect when Bill hit him with the GOP being the party of fiscal conservatism only when it suits them (ie not holding the power). You could see it all over his face that he didn’t even believe his own weak sauce “growth will pay for this over time” line.Bannon was just spouting deep state conspiracy theories.
You know deep staters like Comey who found Anthony Weiner’s laptop and torpedoed Hillary a week before election.
Deep staters like Devin Nunes who after years of fruitless investigations must be a deep stater covering up all the intelligence agency misconduct.
Bannon did talk fast though.
It won’t work at all. He’s simply been far too racist. Things like when he suggested Stacy Abrams lacked the mental capacity to be a governor, his support of police in every controversy with black men, voting suppression, the Central Park Five, and, most of all, the Birther Conspiracy- blacks remember. They know who this man is.Inside Donald Trump’s aggressive outreach to black voters

You don’t know it won’t work. That’s your opinion, not fact. You admit you’re wrong most of the time on political predictions. He won in 2016 and polls show his support from blacks is better than in 2016.It won’t work at all. He’s simply been far too racist. Things like when he suggested Stacy Abrams lacked the mental capacity to be a governor, his support of police in every controversy with black men, voting suppression, the Central Park Five, and, most of all, the Birther Conspiracy- blacks remember. But what COULD happen is that if Democrats don’t get their act together and continue to ignore black voters it could depress their numbers considerably. Hopefully that will be avoided.
OK.You don’t know it won’t work. That’s your opinion, not fact. He won in 2016 and polls show his support from blacks is better than in 2016.
Tim, I believe your radar is off again and it’s your optimism getting in the way again. There are certainly chucks of people that Trump is just never going to reach, and these people run across all different spectrums. But it’s also working the other way too. Half the voting populous voted for him last time. While it’s an extraordinarily small sample size and not something that could be extrapolated up I have three black friends that will be voting Trump. Those friends are middle class, well educated and are good human beings. I can’t fathom it but not because they’re black but because I can’t fathom a vote for Trump. That’s just my viewpoint, clearly not everyone sees it that way. But to think that he can’t get a larger portion of a certain subset, what ever that subset it is, is just naïve in my opinion. Anything is possible, 2016 proved that.It won’t work at all. He’s simply been far too racist. Things like when he suggested Stacy Abrams lacked the mental capacity to be a governor, his support of police in every controversy with black men, voting suppression, the Central Park Five, and, most of all, the Birther Conspiracy- blacks remember. Sorry, but he's not a racist. None of what you listed automatically makes you a "racist". Also, calling a black person "dumb" does not automatically make you a racist. Would he be racist if he called a white person "dumb"? Would you be equally ready to call someone "racist" if they did that?It won’t work at all. He’s simply been far too racist. Atlanta? The Bannon clip makes a good point that Trump was willing to work hard and appear in states that the GOP supposedly had no shot at winning. However IIRC, Trump has never made a rally appearance in a majority black city or district, right?
Their political stuff is always good.
Not that I know of but that SOTU speech was CLEARLY aimed at black voters. The Bannon clip makes a good point that Trump was willing to work hard and appear in states that the GOP supposedly had no shot at winning. Agreed on all points. Not that I know of but that SOTU speech was CLEARLY aimed at black voters.
He did 3 things in that speech that were as obvious as day.....
1. Brag a lot. All POTUS’s do this now in the SOTU but Trump takes it to the next level as he tends to do
2. Aim straight at the black voters
3. Setup the socialism is bad and the Dems want socialism campaign talking points that he no doubt will hammer in the coming months.

This is a waste of time my friend. Tim see racists everywhere. There is no other explanation except racism for Tim. He’s been that way since his arrival on this board.Sorry, but he's not a racist. None of what you listed automatically makes you a "racist". Also, calling a black person "dumb" does not automatically make you a racist. Would he be racist if he called a white person "dumb"? Can black people EVER be criticized at all? Ever? Why is it not "racist" when the left criticizes Candice Owens or Ben Carson? Or any number of conservative black people?
What do you think caused that?Trump has DOUBLED his chance of being re-elected since one year ago. The big uptick has been over the last three months.

Couldn’t be the Impeachment they have been taking victory laps about because it will “stick with him forever”?What do you think caused that?
Kind of what I'm trying to get at. Every turn there are posters here who say independents aren't being swayed by the Dems actions and everything Trump is doing is for his base, so it's not helping him.Couldn’t be the Impeachment they have been taking victory laps about because it will “stick with him forever?
“Winning” or the perception of winning is obviously going to help numbers.Kind of what I'm trying to get at. Every turn there are posters here who say independents aren't being swayed by the Dems actions and everything Trump is doing is for his base, so it's not helping him.
Yet we can see something like a betting line move and approval ratings rise, so I'd like to hear why they think it's happening. If everything Trump does is despicable, why are his numbers improving? Where is the disconnect?
He was acquitted. He won. Your quotation marks are not necessary.“Winning” or the perception of winning is obviously going to help numbers.
That the Dems don’t have a candidate yet is also helping I’d think.
Also the red hot stock market over that period has to help.
And he still will be impeached FOREVER.He was acquitted. He won. Your quotation marks are not necessary.
I realize that the Democrats true intention was to muddy his name with this process. And he came out with his highest approval rating to date
I don’t understand how you can even attempt to spin it as though he didn’t win.
and be president til 2024, amirite? And he still will be impeached FOREVER.
Hold onto that thought come NovemberAnd he still will be impeached FOREVER.
No, I don't think so. Long ways to go until November. We will see...and be president til 2024, amirite?
This point of view is exactly why his chances have doubled....please keep it up.And he still will be impeached FOREVER.
true long ways away, who is your candidate? No, I don't think so. Long ways to go until November. We will see...
There are tens of millions of voters who think he’s guilty. You can disagree with them but it is what it is. We’ll see which side this process motivates more over the long run.He was acquitted. He won. Your quotation marks are not necessary.

I think part of it is Bernie overtaking Biden as the favorite to win the Democratic nomination. Part of it is the continuing good economy. Most of it, though, is frankly inexplicable to me.What do you think caused that?
I agree with you, but 10’s of millions don’t support Impeachment. His approval rating I think reflects what direction the pendulum has swung in.There are tens of millions of voters who think he’s guilty. You can disagree with them but it is what it is. We’ll see which side this process motivates more over the long run.
I think those other things I mentioned are having a huge impact as well. The stock market in particular.
I think the economy is a tremendous factor. And everyone gets tired of hearing it. But to most Americans: having a good job in a good economy is #1.I think part of it is Bernie overtaking Biden as the favorite to win the Democratic nomination. Politically I think the impeachment will end of being a wash. All comes down to the Dem candidate and economy.I think the economy is a tremendous factor. And everyone gets tired of hearing it. But to most Americans: having a good job in a good economy is #1.
If the government cant fix health care, prescriptions, etc: at least I’m making money.
And there’s tremendous political ramifications in job creation.
Geez...I dunno and I am not sure that I have one at this juncture. There are problems with either Bernie, Biden or Warren as the standard bearer as far as voter enthusiasm is concerned, but any of them could overcome that if they ran their campaign right. I will probably vote for Pete by default in the California primary even though I don't think an openly gay man can win the Presidency in 2020. I could live with Klobuchar, but I think she is out of it at this point unless she does real well in NH.true long ways away, who is your candidate?
I think the poor showing by Democrats over the last month has driven some more independents to the Trump camp.I think part of it is Bernie overtaking Biden as the favorite to win the Democratic nomination. Part of it is the continuing good economy. Most of it, though, is frankly inexplicable to me.
And he energizes many people.Politically I think the impeachment will end of being a wash. All comes down to the Dem candidate and economy.
Incumbent shouldn’t have any chance of losing right now but Trump is Trump and he repulses many people.
Obviously. As always it comes down to which side is more motivated to vote. Unfortunately it’s only 5 states or so that matter. And he energizes many people.
No one thought Wisconsin would matter in the last election (Hillary sure didn't). Assumptions like this cause crazy things to happen.Obviously. As always it comes down to which side is more motivated to vote. Unfortunately it’s only 5 states or so that matter.
