Great tool, but i wish there was a way to work keepers into it. A lot of people run keeper leagues in which you give up a pick in exchange for keeping a player. It'd be cool if you could do that in the dominator too. For instance, say I drafted MJD in the 12th last year and I want to keep him this year. It'd be cool if I could delete my 12th round pick and put him on my team. Maybe an idea for a DD improvement?ETA: My bad if this can already be done. If it can, can someone tell me how? TIA
I'm pretty sure it does this. When you use the keeper screen to add the keepers, you can select which pick you are using for each player. just select round 12 pick whatever.if you aren't using picks for keepers, just make those boxes blank.

Top right, see where it says "keeper list"? Click on that, then just assign the players to the teams. No matter how many mocks you run, and clear the rosters, the keepers stay put. I am in a very similar league, where you can hang onto a player every year, but have to give up the pick you took him with.So before the draft actually starts, I just 'pre-draft' all the keepers. You can use any pick at any time, you just select the round and the pick, and assign the players. For example, I have Larry Johnson for an 8th round pick (:brag:), and just make that selection before the draft. Then, while the draft is running, the DD automatically skips that pick. The DD can do a lot, sounds like you really haven't taken it for a spin. Oh, and LMAO at people mocking me with my laptop at a draft. The last two years, I have not brought one scrap of paper, a pen, or a magazine to the draft. I come in with my laptop. That's it. It's all I need.

:bag: Thanks guys.

I come in with my laptop. That's it. It's all I need.
And that's it and that's the only thing I need, is this. I don't need this or this. Just this ashtray. And this paddle game, the ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need. And this remote control. The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need. And these matches. The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control and the paddle ball. And this lamp. The ashtray, this paddle game and the remote control and the lamp and that's all I need. And that's all I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one - I need this. The paddle game, and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches, for sure. And this. And that's all I need. The ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, this magazine and the chair.

Simply put the Draft Dominator is an ORGANIZATIONAL TOOL. It uses Dynamic VBD to try and predict what others will do so you can end up with the best team possible. It is an ASSIST. It's not the cure all. But as far as organizational aids at a draft, I have seen nothing in the industry even close.
:excited:

It's a fantastic tool! I play in several leagues that draft using the MFL site. It works great for slow drafts in keeping track of who is available, who other teams have, etc. I usually make my own projections and then research the best players available in more detail while waiting to pick. I don't follow "all" the suggested picks it suggest, but use it to make an educated decision on who I want. It's great also when you know what positon your going to draft to run mocks and see who might be available to you and in which round. Then you can map out your draft strategy before hand. It's a great feeling when one of your 3rd or 4th round possible picks falls all the way to you in round 7! I spend a lot of time running those mocks. In my hometown league, (no laptop) I just print out the cheat sheets and make me a sheet to write down who everyone else is taking to keep track of things. I always make a fake one to set on top of my papers at the draft because those clue hounds are always looking at them when I leave the room to go to the bathroom. I'll even lean it over toward one of the guys sitting next to me if I know he is looking at it and it's his turn. I loved it when one guy took Matt Jones last year in round 3. Anyway, I'm going on, worth the price of the subscription alone!

It is simply impossible to replicate the organization or quick access to information that the DD provides on one screen.
I find that all I need is a list of players (w/bye week) by position, sorted by ADP order, and my projections for each. Maybe this takes a few sheets of paper instead of one screen, but in terms of organization or quick access to info, what's the difference? It seems as if people use it to adjust rankings on the fly using week-by-week SOS info. I find that SOS projections to this level of detail tends to be unreliable before the season starts. Usually it takes about 3-4 weeks of data on defensive performance before I am confident in any of these numbers. That still gives me plenty of time to assess any potential weaknesses and make trades. Is there something else I'm missing?

Is there going to be a DD lite version? And if so, what are the features going to be? I'd prefer not to bring my laptop to the draft, but I'd love to keep all my info on my Cingular 8125. It is nice to have my rankings/cheatsheets in the palm of my hand.
