It takes effort to foster a feeling of good will among posters and it is worth the effort. I much prefer the posts that discuss player's skill and utilization over those with personal attacks.I concur with the

Some get it, some don't.

As for the topic at hand: Fred Jackson came in handy for me last Season, and this OffSeason, after the Bills drafted Spiller, I took another look at him vs Lynch vs Spiller, and came away with the impression that, all other things being equal, that Jackson would get the lion's share of touches out of the Bills RB stable, and be reasonably productive enough with them to consistently post solid RB2-3 Stats with opportunity for sporadic RB1-2 efforts...an ideal Flex, and especially Best Ball Format RB, especially where you can acquire him. Due largely to the fact that Your Average Joe overvalues rookies with impressive collegiate resumes who have never logged a single regular season NFL down (Spiller), and known commodities (Lynch) have their own independent value, Fred was available at a bargain price prior to last night's injury, and now he's going to come even cheaper.I LOVED CJSpiller in College. I'd love to see him perform well in the NFL. I'm just not convinced yet that he's the kind of Player who can 'create his own shot', and with this incarnation of the Bills Offense for 2010, I think it's going to take some time for him to have a significant statistical impact. I don't think Buffalo is going to be a very good Team this Season. That tells me that for a Player to have statistical relevance, he's not only going to have to have talent, but the mental toughness to give optimal effort through many long Sundays. That can be tough on vets, but even more so on Rookies, most of whom are faced with circumstances they've NEVER faced, from a success standpoint, in their entire careers. We don't know if Spiller's got the willpower to sustain the kind of punishment a Buffalo RB is going to get dealt, and continue to 'want to' play beyond one's ability down after down, in negative scoreboard situations I think the Bills are going to find themselves in plenty of. It takes a VERY special Player to do that. Fred is that guy. He plays his ### off every single down, no matter the cicumstances/how bad things are, and there's going to be plenty of that in Buffalo this Season. Fred's been there, and done that, and I've seen that he has the talent, and the 'want to'/drive, to make something out of the mess that is Buffalo's Offense. Fred runs 'angry'/with passion/with desire and has a 'me against the world' playing style that I don't think you see very often, 'if it's gonna be, it's up to me', if you will.I could be wrong, but I feel great about where I'm getting Fred in Drafts right now, and am looking forward to getting him even cheaper in upcoming Drafts. He runs hard, blocks, can catch the ball, and puts vigorous effort in every snap he plays, no matter the score, down or distance. Fred has been, and will continue to be, an RB who outperforms his Draft Position, and help your efforts more than hurt them in 2010, IMO.It's not so much going out of your way to acquire Fred, but rather by waiting, and scooping him up later, you can use your earlier picks to strengthen your Roster at other positions, and still get that production long after it should be gone off the board. Value, plain and simple.
