Plan was to load up on RB and WR early...every pick in first seven rounds was a RB or WR. I really like this group...ton of TD upside so I think this group will be well above average at the position.
9. Amendola, Danny STL WR 5 11. Berrian, Bernard MIN WR 9 12. Douglas, Harry ATL WR 8 13. Driver, Donald GBP WR 8 14. Fitzgerald, Larry ARI WR 6 15. Jones, Jacoby HOU WR 11 16. Little, Greg CLE WR ® 5 17. Williams, Mike TBB WR 8
Pretty happy with this group...took Fitz and Williams early and then loaded up on RB/QB. Should be fine after going 8 deep with Fitz and Williams at the top.
18. Finley, Jermichael GBP TE 8 19. Shiancoe, Visanthe MIN TE 9 20. Watson, Ben CLE TE 5
I think I'll be near the top in TE scoring...I have Finley in his own tier now in non-pprs.

Just wanted to avoid week 5 guys here...went Berrian over a PK#3...not sure if that was the right move. We'll see if Berrian contributes.I would be surprised if I don't move on. My only weakness is week five where I will only have 1 QB and 3 RBs.

Not my greatest effort but should be in contention to move on. Mostly played in the fairway with irons off the tee. Obviously light at RB, but did not see the point in loading up at backups this early in the season. Should get some traction from deep receiving corps (although LHUCKS probably won't love the guys I took).

Using the Draft Dominator's default projections:

Week 1 - Yudkin (94.1) and LHUCKS (94.7) out; 3nOut (95.3) with the 10th best score

Week 2 - Lammey (100.5) out; Kruppe and Lash, each at 101.0, with the 9th best score

Week 3 - 3nOut (97.2) and Sinrman (98.3) out; Kruppe (99.6) with the 7th best score

Week 4 - Kruppe (98.9) out; Lash (104.4) with the 6th best score

Week 5 - mporwit (92.1) and Lash (93.1) out; Yo Mama (98.0) with the 4th best score

This would project Yo Mama (541.2), Plastik (542.7), Sergeant Spelt (545.9), and JWB (565) to advance.

If MJD doesn't come all the way back, this group could struggle, particularly in week 5. That being said, you used the same strategy as me...go big early at RB and then don't waste any roster spots on backup guys. Just need MJD all the way back to make this work.

two solid kickers and three Ds...no week 5 byes...exactly like me.I think you're scoring may be too flat at WR and TE for you to contend in weeks 3/4/5.

3.03 Rivers, Philip SDC QB

My strategy was to get Rodgers, Rivers, or possibly Brady, and count on him to play all 5 games at a high enough level that there was no need for a backup QB. Mission accomplished. Rivers has not missed a game in high school, college, or the NFL, so I think he is as safe a bet as there is to play all 5 games.

1.03 Charles, Jamaal KCC RB

2.10 Bradshaw, Ahmad NYG RB

4.10 Moreno, Knowshon DEN RB

10.10 Starks, James GBP RB

12.10 Jones, Thomas KCC RB

15.03 Sproles, Darren NOS RB

18.10 Stephens-Howling, LaRod ARI RB

22.10 Washington, Leon SEA RB

Outstanding group for this format. Charles and Bradshaw should get a lot of touches, particularly early (i.e., before getting dinged up). Moreno should open the season as the starter, and Starks could get a solid piece of the Packers running game. Jones is protection for Charles. Sproles, RSH, and Washington are long shot picks to put up a high score in any given week.

5.03 Harvin, Percy MIN WR

6.10 Britt, Kenny TEN WR

8.10 Thomas, Mike JAC WR

9.03 Ford, Jacoby OAK WR

17.03 Gibson, Brandon STL WR

19.03 Washington, Nate TEN WR

21.03 Cribbs, Josh CLE WR

24.10 Owens, Terrell CIN WR

Britt could miss 1-2 games due to suspension, which could hurt. But Harvin and Thomas should be steady. Ford could score in this format a couple times in weeks with long scores. The rest are long shots.

7.03 Graham, Jimmy NOS TE

13.03 Gresham, Jermaine CIN TE

Graham should be a top scoring TE out of the gate, and Gresham could be, with Dalton being a rookie QB.

16.10 Gostkowski, Stephen NEP PK

20.10 Tynes, Lawrence NYG PK

Two top level kickers without byes during the first 5 weeks.

11.03 Patriots, New England NEP Def

14.10 Saints, New Orleans NOS Def

23.03 Panthers, Carolina CAR Def

Should be very solid D/ST points here.

Summary: Gibson and Cribbs are the only players I drafted with byes during the first 5 weeks. And Owens (unsigned) could have one. But my team is not counting on any of those players.

Lash drafted a couple players (Holmes and V. Davis) I had targeted immediately before my pick, which hurt. I also had a lot to drink and didn't finish the draft well. :bag: I should have taken Volek instead of Owens, and I really didn't need the Panthers D/ST.

Still, all things considered, I expect to advance, assuming my team has no key injuries.

Team Yo Mama

Romo, Tony DAL QB - 5 4.11

Manning, Eli NYG QB - 7 8.11

Jackson, Tarvaris SEA QB - 6 17.02

Romo slipped relative to the other top QBs due to his week 5 bye. Was very happy to get Eli as a backup with his nice week 5 matchup at home against the Seahawks. Hopefully Tavaris never is used, but he could have a nice week or 2 (if he starts) with his running and garbage time stats.

Foster, Arian HOU RB - 11 1.02

Jackson, Steven STL RB (P) - 5 3.02

Jackson, Fred BUF RB - 7 6.11

Tomlinson, LaDainian NYJ RB - 8 10.11

Harrison, Jerome DET RB - 9 15.02

Rodgers, Jacquizz ATL RB ® - 8 21.02

Ward, Derrick HOU RB - 11 22.11

Personally prefer ADP to Foster due to the first 5 week schedule, but Foster is a nice consolation prize. SJax keeps slipping in these drafts due to his week 5 bye and his nagging injuries, but I like the value where I got him. With Foster and SJax banged up, I needed a couple safer vets who should produce from the start and I got that in F Jackson and LDT. Harrison and Rodgers give me big play upside and Ward gives me some insurance. Missed on both Tate and Spiller.

Wallace, Mike PIT WR - 11 2.11

Lloyd, Brandon DEN WR (P) - 6 5.02

Boldin, Anquan BAL WR - 5 7.02

Nelson, Jordy GBP WR - 8 12.11

Meachem, Robert NOS WR (P) - 11 13.02

Sanders, Emmanuel PIT WR (O) - 11 18.11

Walter, Kevin HOU WR - 11 23.02

Wanted to go WR in the 3rd, but Jennings and Desean both got taken between my picks. Love getting Lloyd and Boldin where I got them. Nelson, Meachem, and Sanders give me big play upside (which I like for best ball formats), while Walter gives me some more steady points.

Winslow, Kellen TBB TE - 8 9.02

Moeaki, Tony KCC TE - 6 14.11

Shockey, Jeremy CAR TE - 9 24.11

Probably my weakest unit. Figured I'd be later on TEs to focus on QB/RB/WR. Hopefully I get enough to hang here - with no PPR there's not huge TE scoring anyway.

Rackers, Neil HOU PK - 11 19.02

Prater, Matt DEN PK - 6 20.11

Kickers. Thought about taking a 3rd, but felt I needed another TE more.

Packers, Green Bay GBP Def - 8 11.02

Ravens, Baltimore BAL Def - 5 16.11

Went GB fairly early (2nd D taken) since I didn't have anyone at the positions jumping out. Baltimore fell due to their bye, but with GB already on board I should be fine.

Really like this team. I think I'm above average at QB, RB, WR, and D. Good balance of safer picks and upside / big play guys. My week 5 guys are all covered with decent backups, but I have to get that far first.

I stepped in for an owner today just a few hours before the draft... and this was my first redraft draft of the year, so I was a bit unprepared which led to some issue in-draft for me. Not thrilled with my team as its a bit weak at RB, but I think I have nice pieces at other positions to get me threw a few weeks.

Henne, Chad MIA QB 5 20.05

Rodgers, Aaron GBP QB 8 2.05

I'd planned on waiting to take a QB and just trying to land three high upside guys, but when Rodgers fell to me in the 2nd I felt I had to take him. I had been targeting Turner with my 2nd pick (who should be money in this format). Once I landed Rodgers, I decided that I didn't need a backup for just 5-weeks and would be better served just loading up at other positions. Finally I took Henne in the 20th just in case.

Benson, Cedric CIN RB 7 5.08

Brown, Donald IND RB 11 24.05

Greene, Shonn NYJ RB 8 3.08

Ringer, Javon TEN RB 6 11.08

Thomas, Pierre NOS RB 11 10.05

Woodhead, Danny NEP RB 7 12.05

Terrible group of RBs. I consistently misjudged my targets and ended up with guys I wasn't thrilled about. Javon Ringer in the 11th was a reach for a lottery ticket in case CJ doesn't sign. Thomas and Woodhead should put up some numbers early on, nothing great, but at least its a little insurance on Green / Benson.

Austin, Miles DAL WR 5 4.05

Avery, Donnie STL WR 5 18.05

Bennett, Earl CHI WR 8 16.05

Cruz, Victor NYG WR 7 21.08

Green, A.J. CIN WR ® 7 8.05

Johnson, Calvin DET WR 9 1.08

Manningham, Mario NYG WR 7 6.05

Roberts, Andre ARI WR 6 13.08

Thrilled about my top three - Calvin, Austin, and Manningham. AJ Green seemed like a nice gamble n the 8th, as I'd bet i get 1-2 nice games out of him, and i like Roberts as a WR 5.

Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE 7 7.08

Kendricks, Lance STL TE ® 5 15.08

Moore, Evan CLE TE 5 22.05

Olsen, Greg CAR TE 9 9.08

After I kept missing on RBs I thought it might pay off to load up on TD upside TEs, hoping that I might get enough production out of these guys to give me some flex starts. Olsen in the 9th was a bit of a reach, but I'm super high on him.

Hartley, Garrett NOS PK 11 17.08

Mare, Olindo CAR PK 9 23.08

Lions, Detroit DET Def 9 14.05

Texans, Houston HOU Def 11 19.08

Brees, Drew NOS QB - 11 3.05

Campbell, Jason OAK QB - 8 12.08

Normally I'm a 'wait on QBs' guy but decided going into this one I would grab Rivers/Brady/Brees in the 3rd. Campbell finally in the same offense and has some nice weapons - should be fine here. No byes.

McCoy, LeSean PHI RB - 7 1.05

Williams, DeAngelo CAR RB - 9 4.08

Jacobs, Brandon NYG RB - 7 7.05

McGahee, Willis DEN RB - 6 10.08

Barber, Marion CHI RB - 8 14.08

McCoy/Williams were my targets coming in and I got them exactly where I thought I would. The other 3 should find the end zone frequently enough to provide nice backup and flex scoring. No byes.

Jackson, Vincent SDC WR - 6 2.08

Johnson, Steve BUF WR - 7 5.05

Edwards, Braylon SFO WR - 7 8.08

Smith, Steve CAR WR - 9 9.05

Burleson, Nate DET WR - 9 13.05

Urban, Jerheme KCC WR - 6 21.05

Armstrong, Anthony WAS WR - 5 22.08

Doucet, Early ARI WR - 6 24.08

Jackson/Johnson is a solid 1-2. I thought Smith in the 9th was good value. Really like Burleson. The others could snag a long TD here and there. With no PPR I wasn't as concerned about going WR heavy. Armstrong only bye week.

Daniels, Owen HOU TE - 11 6.08

Cook, Jared TEN TE - 6 11.05

Heap, Todd ARI TE - 6 15.05

Love Daniels as the #2 receiving option in HOU. Cook and Heap are also arguably #2 options. Should get solid scoring here and maybe flex help. No byes.

Crosby, Mason GBP PK - 8 16.08

Henery, Alex PHI PK - 7 18.08

Suisham, Shaun PIT PK - 11 20.08

Bengals, Cincinnati CIN Def - 7 23.05

Buccaneers, Tampa Bay TBB Def - 8 19.05

Falcons, Atlanta ATL Def - 8 17.05

Wanted 3 of each. All solid. DEFs have some good matchups. No byes.

All in all very happy with how this went. I was able to stick with the plan I had coming in. Barring injury I feel good about my chance to advance.

* I decided to take the risk on Manning. I followed up with another great QB, so either way I should put up good numbers at this position each week.

Jennings, Rashad JAC RB

McFadden, Darren OAK RB

Tolbert, Mike SDC RB

Vereen, Shane NEP RB ®

Williams, Ricky BAL RB

* Pretty weak overall. Tolbert, I think, is better than Matthews, who went well before him. The rest of what I have are backups, so I kinda have to hope for a blowup

game or for a starter to get hurt so that these guys get some PT. Thankfully we can start 2, so it shouldn't hurt me too bad.

Two kickers, and three defenses. Should get decent production every week.

Overall, not the best I've ever done, but I think it has good depth. I'm taking a big risk with Manning being ok, as I have him, Wayne, AND Clark. If Painter or someone else has

to play, I'm in trouble. I only had one pick that included someone with a week 5 bye (Dolphins DEF), so I'm golden.

This is a great post by JWB. Draft Dominator has my team ranked as #2 but he’s right, week 5 looks awful for my team the “No Hope Cats,” here know as mporwit.Last night was a painful reminder about the most important rule in fantasy football … know your league rules! I too was a last minute addition, in the middle of the first round joining immediately to select at #7. Having 8 out of 24 picks with a week 5 bye is not good. Anyway, really happy to have drafted against such an illustrious group of guys. Hoping that my team makes it to week 5 and with a bit of luck maybe the “No Hope Cats” will survive to fight another day.

made it to round two every year and finals round twice in all-play

it was too easy so i thought i'd try survivor just to give everyone a chance

well guys, good news is they take more than one!!!:

Vick, Cassel, Fitzgerald, ASmith...Top3 QB group, added the 4th very late because may need to survive a Vick injury hiatus in the last week or two. Vick was on pace to be the #16 overall RUNNING BACK last year but luckily I get his running stats in this position and whatever passing stats he accumulates. Fitz and Cassel have VERY nice soft schedules weeks 1-5 and may just blow up once or twice in five weeks. Potentially the best QB group in this league with a healthy Vick and none have byes

Turner, Blount, Wells, DThomas...Easily the top RB group in this non-PPR league. They are all workhorse and all goalline. No vultured TDs ... when their offenses get it to the redzone they ARE getting the rock. This should be my flex each week. And the icing is the schedules ... Beanie's is a laughable schedule early and they all play every week except a week 5 bye for Thomas. Drafting them early allowed me to pick only 4 and load up 9 roster spots at my weakest position next ...

SHolmes, Ochoc Cinco, Floyd, Seattle Mike, Knox, Decker, Bess, DAlexander ... just need a lucky 3 each week, Floyd hurt in his game that night and 85 needs to learn playbook fast, wasted the DAx pick but if he just makes STL team he will explode one week. Tried to take the boring guys here that just put up the 60 yard games and hope 3 of 9 get a TD in a given week because frankly i don't see one guy capable of a 20point game except MAYBE Holmes. Knox clearly better than his peers in CHI so maybe he gets out of the doghouse. Decker and Seattle Mike and ABrown I like in a sneaky way in this format.

VDavis, Celek ... TE group is great in quality low in quantity, SF schedule is weak and Vick supposedly working on getting Celek involved, we'll see.

Longwell, Gould ... Chargers, Chiefs, Bills ... Two kickers with no byes and 3 defenses ALL with weak schedules against turnover prone QBs

regrets: several times that LAST-in-the-tier WR was picked right before me and I went to another position, and i maybe shoulda studied up more on the survivor strategy as opposed to allplay (if there is any)

I survived? LOL. I thought I had a terrible draft, especially since I had to walk away a few times (since the draft was taking waaaaay too long) and the system auto-picked for me. Yech.

I must say that I was quite happy with my production for Week 1, despite wasting a pick on Manning. Now, will that translate to Week 2?

well i didnt know return TDs DIDNT count (i didnt know anyone did still used that anti-return TD points scoring anymore) and so once i saw Decker's punt TD i went to bed thinking i was in easily

i am so glad i did, as i wouldnt have been able to stand waiting on 3 yards from Decker at the end LOL, even though i did get them to squeak in

i'm toast though (first year trying the quantity over quality at WR, it aint gonna work LOL)

If I go out the first week I will ban myself from the pool for a month...my team is stacked.

Draft starts in 75 minutes ladies.
Thats about how long he lasted in this league, lol. What ever LHucks says, do the opposite...he is always that wrong.
Actually he was pimping Kenny Britt pretty hard this year... Before the injury he was right on. Early on he was saying Ray Rice should be RB1 too, not far off there either (though this one was closer to the consensus than his take on Britt).

Looks like I made it. I've been on the edge every week, and I'm rather surprised to still be alive having lost Charles and Britt and with Rivers not playing as well as expected.I have only Cribbs and Gibson on bye next week, though I also will miss Charles and Britt, along with Owens (drafted at the end after too many :banned: ). I hope there are a few other teams that will get hit hard with byes to give me a fighting chance.

congrats to Sarge, YoMama, and Plastik

i have always made the second round every year but i had always played best ball not survivor so it was a little more scary this way (although i don't even know if my possible 11-0 and 10-1 records in the last two weeks would've saved me in bestball with the rough start i had so maybe trying survivor saved my streak LOL

Congrats, guys. Good luck the rest of the way.

Using the Draft Dominator's default projections:Week 1 - Yudkin (94.1) and LHUCKS (94.7) out; 3nOut (95.3) with the 10th best scoreWeek 2 - Lammey (100.5) out; Kruppe and Lash, each at 101.0, with the 9th best scoreWeek 3 - 3nOut (97.2) and Sinrman (98.3) out; Kruppe (99.6) with the 7th best scoreWeek 4 - Kruppe (98.9) out; Lash (104.4) with the 6th best scoreWeek 5 - mporwit (92.1) and Lash (93.1) out; Yo Mama (98.0) with the 4th best scoreThis would project Yo Mama (541.2), Plastik (542.7), Sergeant Spelt (545.9), and JWB (565) to advance.
Wow, the Dominator got 3 of the 4 advancing correct.
