What union? Not a lawyer but I think he can still be fired for cause, especially if the union gets involved.

At this point, I think Meyer's only way to save himself is by throwing a Molotov cocktail. As Duvall County's most famous wise man once said, anytime you have a problem, you throw a Molotov cocktail and boom, right away you have a different problem.
It's like you're a mind reader sometimes, exactly what I was thinking this week.Dude is a complete liar and this won’t be the last thing to come out. There’s blood in the water and people want to take him down because he’s a bad guy.
Ah, got it. Didn't realize you were specifically referring to the Lambo incident, and I was like, "Does he think there's a coaches' union that Meyer is a part of?"NFLPA
Member was assaulted by club personnel on club premises during a club mandated workout.
As a WFT fan I take that deal every day of the week and twice on Sundays.Remember when Montreal sent their lousy owner to Miami which sent that owner to Boston...WFT need to send Snyder to Jax...Khan can come down to Miami, couldn't do any worse than Ross, and then Ross can go take over the WFT and name them after his alma mater, that's right folks it's the Washington Wolverines, Hugh Jackman will immediately become a minority owner in the franchise.
Yeah for some reason I missed an extra 0, but two extra 0's does seem more likely.I'm lazy but I finally googled where I came up with this 8 figure salary, I'm sure you meant a lot more than $100,000 a year.

After less than one year in Jacksonville, Urban Meyer is out as the Jaguars’ head coach, sources tell ESPN.
Is it? What exactly was he contributing that an interim couldn't pick up the slack of (and probably even do better) in a few days time?Kind of crazy to fire a coach on a Wednesday night when you have a game on Sunday. Makes me wonder if yet one more shoe is about to drop. But more likely they just reached a point where there was no point in continuing.
No way an interim HC kicks their kickerIs it? What exactly was he contributing that an interim couldn't pick up the slack of (and probably even do better) in a few days time?
this was so easy to see from the beginning. Guy has no business being around football players. The college game is such a suspect power structure I can barely watch it knowing who profits. It’s a joke. Oh yeah, smart guy? Well who's going to monitor Andre Cisco's defensive snaps this weekend with Meyer gone?Is it? What exactly was he contributing that an interim couldn't pick up the slack of (and probably even do better) in a few days time?

lol. Well played. Who indeed? It’s funny that there are half a dozen stories and they are all false. Kind of like when he was caught grinding with that woman. He denied it until the video came out. Dude is a complete liar and this won’t be the last thing to come out. There’s blood in the water and people want to take him down because he’s a bad guy.
what’s that from? The Good Place? At this point, I think Meyer's only way to save himself is by throwing a Molotov cocktail. As Duvall County's most famous wise man once said, anytime you have a problem, you throw a Molotov cocktail and boom, right away you have a different problem.
Improves it. Drastically. You have to wonder what this means for the career of Travis Etienne.
How? The guy that is married to him just left the altar with divorce papers in hand. I don’t see how a guy that is noted for problems running between the tackles benefits from a new, neutral coaching staff with James Robinson there, especially coming straight off of a Lisfranc injury.Improves it. Drastically.
The article I just read on all the controversies during his tenure is something you’d expect to happen over like, 8 years.
Incredible hire, will never be topped.

Okay. If you didn't like Etienne before, you won't like him now. How? The guy that is married to him just left the altar with divorce papers in hand. No, I had and would have drafted Etienne in dynasty in the 3-5 range. I picked Chase in one league where I traded 1.4 and 2.4 for 1.01 and took Harris in a different league with 1.02 from a dispersal draft. Those guys I took ahead of him, and he went four in a league where I owned five. I just don't see how this helps him when his biggest backer and the guy with the most professional skin in the game isn't there anymore and he has deficiencies, according to some like Waldman.Okay. If you didn't like Etienne before, you won't like him now.![]()
I had to look it up to get the joke, but it seems like that was a great character from a good show that I missed out on.
IMO, it's simple. If you believe he's talented then that will come through when he gets what will assuredly be a better coach.I just don't see how this helps him when his biggest backer and the guy with the most professional skin in the game isn't there anymore and he has deficiencies, according to some like Waldman.
I think he's an exceptional athlete. I just think his situation got a whole lot more cloudy.
I think my main concern is that it seems he needs experience, seasoning, and to learn a few things about running in the pro game and I'm a little skeptical that a coach is going to give a running back that sort of adjustment period when he has Robinson, who obviously is seasoned.IMO, it's simple. If you believe he's talented then that will come through when he gets what will assuredly be a better coach.
That's true, but I also didn't mean to say nor imply that just because he was a bad coach that he evaluated talent wrong.Just because Meyer was a bad coach doesn't mean he got the talent wrong.
Lou Holtz believed that professionals should be singing fight songs in the locker room.Lucky #13: Urban Meyer joins fellow college coaches Lou Holtz and Bobby Petrino in not making it through their first NFL seasons. Holtz of the Jets and Petrino (Falcons) were also gone after 13 games.![]()
