US Men's National Team (7 Viewers)

Kinda glad I didnt get picked for tickets. $1600 minimum for 4? So dumb.
I'd pay that.
I'll end up paying that as well, but at this point you'd probably just be smarter waiting until after the draw and buying what one really wants to see. I don't really have any desire to plunk down that bit of change for a 25-36 vs 37-48 match. I am going to try (key word is try), to see if we can follow Croatia around.

McGlynn out for the rest of the season after foot surgery. Apparently was initially invited to the October camp till he got hurt.

Fulham and Bournemouth scoreless at the half.
Adam’s with the start while Jedi is on the bench.
Poch specifically mentioned Jedi’s lack of minutes as an issue. It seems he has lost his automatic spot in the lineup, which would be understandable if Fulham was playing well but they are awful so far. No minutes again today and his replacement scored the only goal for Fulham.

I think we should brace ourselves that Arsten may start ahead of Jedi.

Landon finally calls it a day for his hair, and gets a hairpiece. I honestly would not have recognized him by just the end result

We talked about this earlier in the thread. We were trying to figure out who may have replaced McGlynn in the roster. Any guesses? Adams and McGlynn were replaced by two midfielders. I am thinking Morris for Adams and no guess for McGlynn, maybe Aaronson?

I love what Poch is doing.

He has created an edge the team has been missing. These guys are going be dawgs when June comes around.

Fireable offense

How many shovels fell off the wall and crackd you on the noggin?

Same **** different day

Gio hurt again. Coach says he is valuable but they have to bring him along slowly, won’t play again this weekend

Tillman at the 10 for Leverkusen.

He wont get a stat credit for it, but Union were on a transitional break, with their man on the ball having beaten the last MF and attacking the space in front of the backline space in the attacking third. Bayer was out of shape and numbers and in trouble.

From the other half, Tillman made a long- 30-50yard sprint, stole the ball cleanly from the guy, turned it back upfield in a move that led to their opening goal.

Exactly the defensive awareness, desire and speed you want to see from your 10.

He looks very much the real deal when I've seen him in club play.

He missed some chances he really should have finished and looked a little out of sorts and flustered on the offensive side of things. But still very involved and looked decent.

Does anyone know if Banks was called up for the U20 World Cup but was denied release?
Banks getting called for the Senior roster in the last window and not playing indicated to me that he was definitely not playing in the U20 WC. Otherwise he would have been in the U20 preparatory camp instead.

So I don't know that he was called and denied so much as simply told a while ago that if we do call him, it would be denied so everyone moved on with life.

he is so raw but we have no one else that can score a goal like this just by his shear presence
Really rooting for the guy.

Dont know how much growing he can do at this age, but im hoping it smooths out the obvious rough spots and elevates his game. Already has enough to be a difference maker off the bench bringing a different style of play than our other guys.

I did not watch but he won man of the match on FotMob with an 8.0 rating, the only 8 rating on either side.

Augsburg was coming off of 4 straight losses so with the win today, if Banks is not too banged up, I hope this can get him another start. It is still early enough that if he locks this in, he could get considered. It’s not like Poch is in love with his other CB’s.

US play South Africa today at 4:00pm ET. US needs a draw to secure the group but even a small loss should be enough to win group as well.

Palace lost for the first time in 19 games after squandering a lot of clear opportunities to add to their 2nd half 1-0 lead. Everton deserved their goals to win...but palace looked like a team stretched in too many competitions without enough depth- gassed.

Eta...Richards looked typically goo though. Not at fault for the goals imo.

Been hard going for CP to get involved.

Swag playing as an 8, but complementary- not dictating much.

Santi has been quite good.

David busy up top, but his slipped on his best chance.

Equador manager announced he's not calling Moises Caicedo for upcoming friendlies against US and Mexico. Would be a good challenge for our midfield but the man apparently needs a rest.

WTF, late goal puts South Africa up 2-1 at half time.

US in total domination outside of scoreboard, way ahead in possession, shots, corners etc

They spent almost the entire half in the attacking 3rd. Two counters and two goals.
