US Men's National Team (22 Viewers)

I think the US is regretting their decision not to escape through the tunnel at halftime and letting Stallone talk them into going back out for the second half.

Well, this should mean that JK reassess his player selection...if anything I think we're better prepared for qualifying.

Well, that was ugly.  It's pretty sad that everyone knew that Beckerman and Wondo didn't have the pace to run with Argentina and yet JK starts them anyway.  Thought we looked a bit better with Pulisic in the game in the second half.  Problem is that we need 7 more like him to keep up with a team like Argentina.

BTW, Messi is incredible.  He's the most skilled player I've ever personally watched and yet he's so unselfish with the ball.  Great quality to have.

10-12 yrs from now, the US will be far better. For now it's the JV
Way more time than that. Our grass roots soccer is garbage, so that alone getting better pushes it to 20 years down the road.

We'll continue to find athletes and not soccer players for the time being. We'll upset a few teams here and there but we won't be in the varsity league for a while.

The game was out of control by the end there, but we looked SIGNIFICANTLY better in the 2nd half, IMO.  More possession, it seemed, and some actual purpose moving forward.  I think if we had started that way when it was 0-0, things could have definitely been different.  We completely threw away the 1st half of the game.  And CP was not a defensive liability whatsoever.

  We're not Argentina, but sometimes #### happens and you win these games.

If you didn't like the US play in this tournament you should probably just quit watching.  The game against Ecuador, comfortably up 2-0 and up a man if Jones doesn't lose his mind, is about as good as we've ever played.

They've been saying this for 10-12 years though.
I'm seeing it at the youth level, the best athletes are playing soccer instead of football around here.  A lot of parents don't want the kids getting their bell rung.  You'll see a far better athlete coming up the jr soccer ladder

That was painful to watch. Of course Argentina was going to outclass them but no shots on goal and a parade of poor passing. Wondo and Bradley were awful. The goal by Messi was perfection. Maybe the best goal ever by him that I did not enjoy watching.
