I count 8 field players who are relatively defensive for their positions.

All but Pulisic and Pepi, really.  Especially Sargent, Acosta, Sands and Adams.  This might not be all that far from Doyle's PRESS THEIR FACE OFF idea.

It’s effectively a lineup that attempts to let CP and Pepi have free reign.  I frankly don’t think there’s enough in the middle to get them the ball consistently, but this is the analog to the Canadian feed Davies or Tajon setup.  It also allows a lot more fluidity in positions.  I’m not sure these are the right players, but at least he’s trying.

I'm sorry but I'm pissed that I have to watch this game in Spanish.  Are the NFL or CFB playoffs on pay TV?  US Soccer screwed the pooch.  These games should be on regular TV if you want to continue to grow the sport here.

Honduras basically fully rotated their lineup through the previous two matches. So I do think some of this is trying to put a formation to some of the freshest legs available.

The Adams and Bello moves make a bit more sense after being told by sources close to the team that some of the fullbacks are viewed as defensive liabilities by the coaching staff. That, combined with needing to rotate, leaves us with them starting
