By the way, how is it possible to win 4-1 on the road in Concacaf?  Based on what everyone has been saying this makes the Miracle on Ice look like child's play.

 
Wow.  What a turnaround.  Killed it with not one primadona out there.  That literally looked like a bunch of bench players tired of sitting on the bench.  There was no miracle tactical change.  Just players wanting to play.

Honduras ran outta gas i think.  They didn't do jack after the US subs came on.  Not sure if it was a change in formation or mentality or what, but HON looked like a beaten dog after the US went up.

Weston needs to earn his spot back. IMO, Brooks has lost his until we see otherwise.  Dest needs to show some toughness and heart or he can sit on the bench too.

holy hell!!!!  I need to take a deep dive when I catch my breath but here are my immediate thoughts

* Robinson and Robinson, take a bow.  They performed every minute they were on the field.  I know Brooks is far more decorated, but I want to go to war with Miles.  Holy hell is he good.   And this is the Antonee we have been waiting for.   Love his play these last two games

* Pepi.  I mean what else can you say.  The kid was involved in all 4 goals.  The beautiful hold up play that sprung Pulisic, his big boy header, the intelligent and unselfish assist, and then forced a finger tip save that Lletget tapped in

* I won't be the first to notice that the best work was done this window when Gio, Dest, Weston, Pulisic and Weah were not available.   That being said, Pulisic was great in the second half driving the ball tonight.  He was so in the groove until he got hurt.

* NO ONE FROM MLS SHOULD EVER PULL ON A USMNT SHIRT FOR THE REST OF FOREVER

* Yedlin with a perfect cross, Roldan with a great dig, every one played a part

* Once again, GGG was ultra aggressive with his subs and it flipped the game on its head.   Now I don't think this was a great game from GGG because those subs were needed for some questionable choices (Sargent at the wing made no sense with Aaronson and Konrad alive and breathing)

* But I had a huge chuckle when I saw the Brooks subs at half time.  It was almost like GGG saying "I saw what happened last cycle when you got the coach fired"  :lmao:

Ugly as hell but you tell any of us the first window is going to include 2 road games and...

  • Pulisic unavailable for half of the possible minutes
  • Dest unavailable for half of the possible minutes
  • Reyna unavailable for 2/3 of the possible minutes
  • McKinnie unavailable for 2/3 of the possible minutes
...and then tell us we were getting 5pts and +3 GD out of it and we would all have been THRILLED by that outcome.

That and we still had players with legs left. Our depth in game 3 of the window played a big role. Even with injuries and Snacks etc.

FYI, if you're looking to answer the question of "has Gregg lost the team?"  The answer is a resounding no.  The heart these kids showed in that second half was amazing.  They worked their ### off.  GGG made a mistake with the formation change.  Once we changed back to 4-3-3 we were dominant this game.  

Hope Christian only has a small knock.  We need him healthy to make this run.

Pepi might have won the 9 spot tonight.

Jedi solidified the LB spot.

Brooks might be a backup after tonight.

 
Looks like GGG strategy is to weather the storm and come out blazing in 2nd half.  Except for the the fact he didn't sub last game until 4 minutes left....

Who knows at this point.  Just gonna enjoy the win
