Zack Steffen is available to leave Manchester City this summer with Leicester City showing an interest in the American goalkeeper, sources have told ESPN.

Steffen, who has 29 caps for the United States, spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough but narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League.

City are open to allowing the 28-year-old to leave permanently during the transfer window but sources have told ESPN that they will ask for a fee before sanctioning any move. Steffen is under contract at the Etihad until 2025.

Leicester, according to sources, have registered their interest in Steffen although they have yet to make a formal offer.

Union Berlin have looked at a deal for Leeds United midfielder Brenden Aaronson as they attempt to build their squad for the Champions League next season.
The German club, who finished fourth in Bundesliga last season, are considering a move for Aaronson who is available following relegation from the Premier League season, which is set to lead to several players leaving Elland Road.
Leeds inserted wage reductions and relegation buyout clauses in the event of relegation, which would see the likes of Aaronson targeted this summer. The USA international has been linked with Fulham but also has admirers in Germany who scouted him while playing in Austria with Red Bull Salzburg.
The “Medford Messi”, 22, went to the World Cup last season and is among the Leeds players expected to move to stay in one of the elite leagues. His international team-mate Tyler Adams also has interest from other clubs.
Aaronson started 28 games for Leeds last season after joining a year ago for £25 million. His only goal of the season was against Chelsea when Leeds were unbeaten in the first games of the campaign before their slide towards the relegation zone.

Fulham are confident of keeping American international Antonee Robinson at the club after the flying full back expressed an interest in extending his Craven Cottage contract.

Reports last month suggested that the former Wigan Athletic left-back had rejected a new deal with the Whites, but this was wide of the mark as Robinson had instructed his representatives not to discuss terms until he had completed his international commitments at the CONCACAF Nations League. The 25 year-old, who had arguably his strongest season in SW6 as the Whites finished tenth on their return to the top flight, is willing to commit his future to the Cottagers as long as the terms of his new deal are amenable.

The Sun’s Alan Nixon reports that Robinson is happy in London and, contrary to earlier reports, is interested in remaining with the Whites having been appreciative of Marco Silva’s faith in his ability when the Portuguese head coach confirmed the Wirral-born left back as his first choice after succeeding Scott Parker. Robinson has made 103 appearances for Fulham since moving from Wigan in the summer of 2020 and Fulham are ready to ‘push the boat’ in order to secure the long-term future of one of their key players

Bad news for both guys as neither has impressed so far. They both may have lost a big opportunity to state their case

#USMNT roster news: Alan Soñora has a right hamstring strain and will not be available for #USAvTRI. He is continuing to be evaluated.

Aidan Morris has been given permission to depart camp for personal reasons
We can replace players for the knockouts but they have to come from the 60 man roster

Given the options, my guess is we will see Acosta and Pomykal (who both played last night so they are now healthy). It's a travesty that Gutierrez isn't on the 60-man roster. Neither is Buck.

If Musah and Pulisic both play for Milan, has there been a bigger team with two Americans on it? I don't mean just on the books but actual contributing players, like at Fulham/Leeds/Everton etc.

I feel like I am forgetting a team that may have been bigger.....but I can't recall...

This should be good timing for him if he hopes to be a candidate post WC26

I want to say Spector was on the books at Man U at the same time as Timmy

But would be crazy if they both go to Milan. And God knows if it's anything but top 3 for a euros spot, it'll all be their fault.

Also, I'll begrudgingly root for that awful team.

And also also, will be interesting following serie A closely again. Who televises the league?

As an FYI, if you subscribe to Walmart+, you get a Paramount+ subscription included.

Paramount+ is $59.99/year ($5.99/month). Walmart+ is $98 for the year. So, it's only $40 more for the year to get Walmart+ if you have any use for it whatsoever.

Plus, there's a promotion now where you get $50 off your first order of $75, so basically, you can get it for free if you were planning on getting Paramount+.

You are correct, he was.

I don't know if they ever stepped on the field together. Spector only appeared 3 times and that came in 2004-2005, when Timmy only played 12 times.

the key phrase being "actual contributing players"

So apparently we have no midfielders now. So that's exciting

A. Morris left camp for "personal reasons" and Sonora has a strained RIGHT hamstring.

Apparently Sonora tried to kick with his right leg one time in training and it was too much for him.

Edit: apparently we can replaced injured players (obviously only from the provisional roster) for 24 hours after tonight's game ends (assuming we actually qualify for the knockout) I do wonder if "personal reasons" qualifies Morris for an injury replacement

We were chatting about this earlier in the thread.

The Gold Cup has in recent editions allowed replacements at the knock out stage. It does not need to be an injury replacement, any one for any reason can be replaced(unless the rule changed for this Gold Cup).

The replacement must come from the 60 man preliminary roster.

The official US Roster announcement said.....

Per tournament rules, the final roster will be submitted no later than June 14. A player may be replaced on the roster up to 24 hours prior a team’s first match of the group phase, as well as 24 hours after the completion of its group stage competition, in the case of injury. The replacement player must come
from the 60-man preliminary rosters.

But its CONCACAF, so who the heck knows?

Some other teams thoughts...

CAN... I like that they're trying to play quickly, usually 1sr time, using 2nd and 3rd runners and their very nice shape to open things up. And I still like the shape their 3-5-2 gives them on both sides of the ball. But that backline is pretty poor. And the rest of the guys lack the clinical ability to do much offensively. But even their shape got exposed last night vs Guat, who looked the better team.

MEX... Issues with this group at the backline.. very susceptible to all kinds of mayhem. But they, as opposed to Can, have been clinical going forward. Been a good 2 games for them to get their mojo back.

PAN... I've been impressed with this group. Good getting forward, good closing down and keeping their posture on D, and overall dictating how their games have gone.

HON... Still a mess all over the field, but Elis has been one of the players of tourney for me.

I haven't seen enough of anybody else to really comment.

Miles and Neal start together. This should be interesting. Very athletic pairing but neither are good line breakers and I don't think they have ever played together.

Jones over Tolkin is a slight surprise since Jones did reeally nothing against the weak team the other day.

Happy to see Reynolds with another chance to start.

Roldan at wing is less than ideal but every one has **** the bed so far so I guess he is next up.

You dont think Neal is a good linebreaker? I haven't seen much of him in MLS, but from what I've seen in THESE games his passing seems like one of his strongest assets.

Agreed.

On the other hand, Zendejas has looked poor this whole tournament so far. Oof

Zendejas shoots the ball into the crowd and immediately turns around the same way people who trip turn around and look at an imaginary obstacle that caused it.

Yes. Let's dismiss these very nicely taken goals.

A. Needs to score against countries that have big populations for them to be good

B. Plays in the MLS

I haven't watched him a ton but yeah, mostly he's been a very conservative passer. He's done well in the Gold Cup and his passing range has really surprised me.

I haven't watched him other than with the u20s and now here. I wonder/guess that he's probably not asked to do much for his club

I think that must be it. He's obviously not a terrible passer but both to the eye and just numbers, his progressive passing is non-existent for LAG

Incredible ball by djordje.

Another mediocre decision by zendejas but it worked out.

IMO, that's a Ferreira goal. Shot was on target
