On Xbone or PC?I am plowing along nicely in my POE character. I am at level 79 now and working through normal tier 8 and 9 maps. The character is plenty strong but lacks health. I need to look more into some defensive flasks to help me out as I have two flask slots sitting almost unused (the other 3 are for healing).
A little slow? That's like saying Aaron Hernandez had a little fall from grace. Just wayyy too much rinse and repeat on that one for me. Send me to get a chest. then send me back to do it again, basically. Then, did we forget to tell you there is an "overlooked" chest you missed? Guess where you're going?I just started playing Fortnite. It's in early access and it needs some work but it's kind of fun. The gameplay does get a little slow though.
Ah. Waiting to hear about Xbone. I gave all my gear away on PC so I will be starting fresh on console.
there were at least a couple of people on here planning to play on XBone.Ah. Waiting to hear about Xbone. I gave all my gear away on PC so I will be starting fresh on console.
I had just started playing it. I've since moved on due to the tendentious of it. I agree it a good concept but they have a long ways to go.A little slow? Concept solid. Building and crafting is above average but I can see a lot of people getting tired of it quickly. Needs more original and unique experiences in it.
purchased the FB pack. LOVED this game on PC, hope it translates well to console.POE beta officially closed for Xbox One. Read that full game releases August 24th. There's a pre-release bundle for sale on the Microsoft store:

How about a mini review? You're one of my regular collaborators so I would love to hear your thoughts.Corporation said:Finished 7th in a PUBG solo match, got a kill via dune buggy![]()
I like it. It is much better when you are in a good squad. The rounds are pretty quick. You start off in an airplane and have to jump out with 99 other people who want to kill you. Once you parachute in, you scavenge for weapons, so no one has a built in advantage (i.e. unlocked weapons in BF). You will notice on the map a large white circle. You have a few minutes to get what you can, then get inside the circle. You will start taking damage if you are not within the circle. This forces all players to the middle, so you can't have a lone loser just sniping from one spot the whole game. He may not even find a sniper rifle. How about a mini review? And how does discord work?
Still trying to get on. Hopefully this weekend.
I've heard rumors they're doing Superman next.Just finished up Batman Arkham Knight and overall loved both the game and that whole series. Batmobile while cool, got a little old with the multiple tank battles and the game had some monotonous side quests, ie every time you finish a main quest mission, look they have more towers and bombs I have to go take down. But overall thought Rocksteady did a great job with building the game series from Asylum, with the Metroid like find new gaget to open new areas, to City with the addition of the openish world and gliding, then to Knight where the world is a little bigger and you can race around in the batmobile. Combat has always been fun and doable for someone like me who has never been a good button combo fighter and you can get by with mashing on most fights and the deaths are pretty forgivable, most of the time not making you completely start over a tough fight from the beginning, but at whatever stage you were at so it didn't seem to get bogged down in frustration when you hit something you weren't good at.
Honestly for me it's one of the better 3 game series I can think of.
There was also Origins, and I did like that game, but it was really Rocksteady giving WB studios all of their code from City and just using it to create a new story, didn't feel like anything "new" was added into that game. Wouldn't mind if they did the same with Knight also.
Damned if it's not fun being batman.
That's foolish. Everybody knows that you can't do a good Superman game. Pfft.bcdjr1 said:I've heard rumors they're doing Superman next.
Yeah, it's hard to believe they created that in depth of a game universe to get rid of it so quickly, but the last two iterations have had some pretty major issues that had to be patched because the fans were so angry about them. It feels like that series has seriously lacked leadership and decision making lately, so maybe a long hiatus and internal re-org before revisiting one of their most popular franchisees is in order. Not that it's any surprise or care to most but EA and Bioware made it official. There will be no new Mass Effect single player content indefinitely.
That makes me very sad.
Internally everything I've read it was a disorganized nightmare to work under. The game though is pretty damn good to me. It definitely could have been better as they all could have been but I was satisfied playing it. Realistically it probably should have been released this fall to give them time to work out the bugs but again, it was rushed into Q1. EA has managed to destroy this Franchise with piss pour business management skills.Yeah, it's hard to believe they created that in depth of a game universe to get rid of it so quickly, but the last two iterations have had some pretty major issues that had to be patched because the fans were so angry about them. (side note I haven't played Andromeda yet, i'll probably get to it late this year or early next, but with what I've read I'm pretty confident my statement above holds true.)
They haven't abandoned the franchise, they are just punting on Andromeda. They brought Casey Hudson back on to run Bioware (the lead on the original trilogy), I'm sure he'll have a new installment in the pipeline eventually.Yeah, it's hard to believe they created that in depth of a game universe to get rid of it so quickly, but the last two iterations have had some pretty major issues that had to be patched because the fans were so angry about them. It might be a decade or more. EA really ruined this Franchise with their business decisions.thecatch said:They haven't abandoned the franchise, they are just punting on Andromeda. I'll take the under. It might be a decade or more. EA really ruined this Franchise with their business decisions.
I just got through playing Andromeda and I really enjoyed it. I went online to read what the initial complaints were that really killed it and they fell into two buckets: 1) political and 2) technical.Internally everything I've read it was a disorganized nightmare to work under. BL2 is one of my all-time favorite games (played it before BL Andy, no problem at all). So much fun. I wish there were more four player co-op games of this quality, I am surprised there isn't a bigger market for them.Agreed with Todem, not needed. There are some references to the prior game in the story of 2, but nothing they don't fill you in on or catch you up on in the very beginning (the 4 characters you can play as in the 1st game show up in the 2nd game's story which is a fun tie to the original.) Anyway, the story isn't really why you are playing the game anyway, its just a lot of damn fun.
For that reason I would recommend playing the first one though, they are both really fun games although 2 is bigger and better in most ways. One thing that may be lost though is that these were some of the best 4 player co-op games I've ever played, game was really designed around co-op really well.
Note: In Borderlands 2, make sure to get the Shotgun 1340 after the quest "Out of Body Experience." It's hilarious.
Agreed. Had a great time with a group of friends playing BL2. We've played quite a few coop games together, but most get dull and repetitive after a while. A lot of them take themselves too seriously, but have boring stories with repetitive missions. We're enjoying doing dumb stuff together in Ghost Recon Wildlands, but most of it is ancillary shenanigans outside of the story and missions.BL2 is one of my all-time favorite games (played it before BL Andy, no problem at all). Yea I finished at 98% then remembered that I had forgotten about that quest. I started it early on when I was playing and then realized a month later I never finished it. I saw the cut scene. Not the same as Citadel DLC.One more thing: The worst thing about Andromeda for me was the Movie Night quest. Just terrible, don't bother.
I think that's what bothered me the most is how they tried to make a Citadel type bonding quest then left out, y'know the quest...and the sense of humor...and the drunk Krogan and Prothean causing problems...and maybe the best boss fight in the series...and every single thing that made Citadel the most awesome DLC ever. But even lacking all of that it still felt like an obvious LOOK AT US!! WE'EZ A SUPER AWESOME TEAM!!!Yea I finished at 98% then remembered that I had forgotten about that quest. Path of Exile. Diablo 3-esque computer game they have on xbox now. Completely free to download and playWhat is POE?
Thanks for the heads-up!POE xbox one release at 4PM central today.
It's a pretty good option for a summer slump game. If you're still playing by the time one of the games you comes out you willing won't have a problem putting it down.So the vanilla version of Andromeda is now under $30 on Amazon. Suppose I liked the combat from ME2 and ME3. Is Andromeda worth playing even if the story and characters aren't that compelling? And does this one require multiplayer to get a good ending like ME3 did?
Not expecting a ME2-type masterpiece here. Just something entertaining to hold me over until the good games start coming out again later in the fall.
That one was fixed with the major game patch by giving you a default boost to your war readiness stat from the beginning. So the vanilla version of Andromeda is now under $30 on Amazon. I think so - I'm mostly through it, and it's a mediocrely written but very good looking (post-patches at least) open world RPG - basically a poor man's Witcher 3 with ME 3 combat. I've enjoyed playing while I catch up on my podcast backlog. So the vanilla version of Andromeda is now under $30 on Amazon. Suppose I liked the combat from ME2 and ME3. Yes, absolutely. It was a much better game than it gets credit for.So the vanilla version of Andromeda is now under $30 on Amazon. Suppose I liked the combat from ME2 and ME3. I have sunk WAY too much time into 3.0.Informed my wife that I am getting back into PoE but this time on the Xbone. She asked what's PoE? I said, remember that game I was playing and you asked for how much longer I was going to be ignoring the entire family?
I have three main builds going, along with some I have started and not gotten to far with.I have sunk WAY too much time into 3.0.
If you loved it the first time around you will love it even more now. There is so much to this game if you want to peel the layers.
