Vikings at Texans (1 Viewer)

Obviously want my Texans to win, but as a big Peterson fan and dynasty owner since his rookie season, I would like to see him have a great game on his way to the record.

Decent first series for the Vikings defense. Texans moved the ball well enough through the air but the Vikings contained Foster.

Texans settle for a FG with Graham who lit me up for 17 points last week while Lawrence Tynes was shut out on my squad.

Texans have had several wide open receivers Schaub isn't seeing.

Nice forced fumble there by Brinkley.

ADP is gonna have his work cut out for him against this Texans D. Hopefully, Ponder will be able to force the issue by making some passes.

For those following along, I made poutine again today. GB French-Canadians and their liberal use of cheese and gravy.

Texans again forced to punt due to heavy pressure from the Vikings D-Line and solid coverage. Minnesota's defense has really turned things around this season. Jared Allen isn't getting the numbers that we're used to seeing but it's not for lack of effort and he's still making an impact.

Holy cow. Arnie is in a new movie. I better read the book first.

I know it is still early, but Vikings are showing they can play with the best. Very encouraged by the first half.

The best thing about Sherels is that he hardly ever puts the ball on the carpet. He doesn't get enough credit for that.

After they got down that last first down, looked like they were just playing for the FG while running a bit of time off the clock. Very slow getting back to the line after the first down AP carry, then 2 shots at the end zone. Plenty of time to dink/dunk from there or heck, give AP the ball a few times.

Robison may not get his job back from Griffin. He's been something a weak link on the D-Line for the last month or so. Griffin has been able to pressure the QB and make some noise with his opportunity.

Half time and the crowd is silent save for some boos.

Adrian Peterson at half time driven across stadium on cart to Texans locker room side. My speculation he might be taken there where xray equip is.

Houston Defense selling out on Peterson but the secondary can't cope on their own. Hou offense can't run the ball at all and has forced them into a lot of 3rd and longs they can't convert on.

Houston needs to win this game, or they might have to win at Indy next week to hold on to a bye if Denver and NE both win out (HOuston would drop to the 3 seed if that happens).

I recall a recent comment suggesting that a team with a first round Bye hasn't won the Super Bowl in X amount of years. Something to the effect the Bye has on interrupting the roll a team needs to be on to progress through the playoffs.

New Orleans won the Super Bowl in 2009 when they had a bye. Pittsburgh won the Super Bowl in 2008 when they had a bye.
