Week 03 2024 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (2 Viewers)

Zack Moss vs Washington
Cam Akers vs Minnesota (if Mixon and Pierce out)
1/2 point PPR
Moss strongly. Better matchup by far. And I have no strong feelings about Akers 's role relative to Dare. Akers gets first crack at leading the backfield but I think he has a short leash.

Moss>Akers

Defense, Add/Drop question.

I picked up the SF D (@LAR) to block my opponent but also consider starting this week vs. the NYJ (vs NE). I ended up starting the NYJ D who got me 16 points. Well, that's good.

Now I have both the SF and NYJ D, but need to pick up a kicker this week. I either have to drop the SF D (vs NE next week...yummy) or T. Bigsby.

The NYJ D has a nice matchup vs DEN next week too.

After what I saw from the NE offense last night I'm tempted to stick with the SF and drop Bigsby, but that may be short sighted considering he seems to have stand alone value and a clear path to being a team's RB1 if Etienne goes down.

So, drop the SF D and stick with the NYJ next week? Or drop Bigsby?

Thanks

IMO you have a great defense so you don't need two unless you plan to regularly start one as a flex player.

Bigsby has some amount of stand alone and lottery ticket value.

I'd wait until the last possible minute then swap out the niners for the kicker.

I also wouldn't stress on getting a specific kicker either. They're, along with defenses, random number generators.

I start Kyler for sure right, thinking the Lions game will be a high scoring affair.

All QBs play at home

Burrow vs WAS
Kyler vs DET
Richardson vs CHI

Yes, I would.

I don't like predicting game scripts but Murray is just too versatile to bench for your other options IMO.

He's pretty much the QB equivalent of a love child between Burrow and Richardson.

Curious as to opinions on this one:
FFPC scoring:
Who would you start?
reasons/Opinions welcome:

D.Prescott vs Balt
J.Goff @ AZ

Probably Dak. Regardless of game script he has to throw because the Cowboys can't run the ball.

The Lions game seems like it could be high scoring but as long as they're in the game the Lions are going to try and control the clock.

I do believe Goff will come around and play better but the strength of their defense and their offensive philosophy I am now tempering expectations for him going forward.

Dak>Goff

That being said, if you were to predict any game being a track meet this week, it's Lions/Cards. But I'm wrong a lot more often than not when predicting game scripts.

OK - last minute add in flex / PPR

J Jennings @ LAR (waiting to here any Kittle updates)
Iosivas vs WAS (Higgins is getting closer)

Thx

I'm going with Jennings personally. Just seems poised for a big role.

But both of these guys are difficult to predict.

Jennings>Iosivas

0.5 PPR, 2nd flex spot (I'm down AJ Brown, Puka, Walker, hoping Higgins finally plays, and oh I started Rhamondre). Someone post the shirt.

Freirmuth
W Robinson
Whittington
Tolbert

If Ferguson is out probably Tolbert.

I think Dallas is going to pass more than your other options.

If Ferguson plays... IDK my impulse is Wandale but not with any confidence.

Flex spot pls advise on 1 of 3 potential plays - non - ppr/ traditional scoring

Dobbins @ Pitt
DJ Moore @ Indy
Charbonnet vs Miami

TIA

Impulse is Dobbins because of the hot hand but it's a rough matchup, Herbert is trending out and the Bears have been very bad on offense.

However that Indy D looks like a get well option.

I think I go

Moore>Dobbins>Charbonet

Trade question. PPR league.

I've been offered:

* C. Olave

For

* T. Hill

I'm 2-0. My roster:

* QB: J. Hurts
* RB: J. Jacobs, J. Conner (J. Ford, D. Foreman, R. Dowdle, T. Bigsby, B. Allen, C. Hubbard)
* WR: T. Hill, C. Kupp (hurt), JSN, B. Thomas, Q. Johnston
* TE: D. Kincaid
* D: NYJ

The Tua injury and Kupp injury suddently turned my WR corp upside down. No idea if Tua is coming back.

NO offense looks legit. Olave yet to have an outburst. Then again, could be a buy high on NO/Olave and sell low on T. Hill.

Stick with Hill?

Or gamble and go with Olave?

Thanks

It's down to my WR's this week, and only need two:

Evans vs Den....Surtain yadada
DJ Moore vs Indy....Waldron is a nightmare, I don't know what to think
Cooper vs NYG....targets there, Watson the problem
Diggs vs Minny....will be a slug fest, revenge game. CJ seems like the dude that will make sure he gets a TD
Shaheed vsPhili.....can NO be stopped?

Taysom? YES!!!

Tyreek???

I think I wait until after the Seahawks game before making a move?

You start Evans. I simply cannot see any argument to bench him.

After that it's a crap shoot. Cooper & DJ have great matchups. Shaheed is on fire.

Personally I think I ultimately end.up starting Cooper after having all three in my lineup multiple times between now and kickoff Sunday.

That's my gut, you should go with yours.

Until Njoku gets healthy, I’ve got some nasty TE start dilemmas. TE premium.

Colby Parkinson
Brenton Strange
Jonnu Smith
Taysom Hill

Started Rhamondre on Thursday, so I’m already in a bit of a hole. I know Parkinson is probably the play here - but I’ve got this “strange” feeling that Brenton could be the higher upside play this week.

Evan Engram out; Strange did earn himself 6 targets last week. He’s got more YAC ability than Parkinson for sure.

Speaking of YAC, maybe Jonnu is the okay here after all?

I know there’s no easy answer here, just looking for some thoughts.

Thanks

Wish I could help. My only thought is Parkinson seems to have the clearest path to targets and the best QB.

Sorry.

It may be.

It may be too late for your trade partner too.

If you're sold on the idea of the deal you should absolutely do it.

Will post my "WDIS" later but would appreciate feedback on the following which could tie my WDIS help question once posted.

I drafted Kenneth Walker and did NOT handcuff.
I was able to snag Akers this week for nothing.
The guy who has Charbonet also has Mixon.
Should I offer the trade for us both to handcuff? or who is the bigger lottery ticket and if Akers, hold?

Thanks

Take Charbs IMO. Akers has Dare and, possibly Pierce to contend with. Charbs is the guy when Walker is out.

IMHO

Trade Question. PPR.

Which side of this trade would you rather have?

TEAM A Gets: Bijan & C. Olave

or

TEAM B Gets: J. Jacobs & T. Hill

Team A is 0-2 while Team B is 2-0.

Which?

Think I might like Team A side, Bijan catches passes and Jacobs doesn't plus I think Olave is due for some big games.
And that's what my team would receive. I'm giving up T. Hill.

Hate selling T. Hill low and buying the NO offense (Olave) high. And right now, I think you could debate if Olave and Shaheed are somewhat equal.

It's definitely not straight forward, you're giving up plenty, bit of a gamble. I like Jacobs a lot, Hill with the issue in Miami not as much as before.

One other thing about Hill. Next three weeks: TN, @NE, Bye week. Not great.

Olave doesn't see his bye week until week 12.

Not a start/sit question, hope you don't mind.

Need to drop 1 to pick up a Kicker. Full PPR
None of these guys are starting Week 3, just bench stashes
Carson Steele, RB - Chiefs
Bucky Irvving, RB - Buccs
Kendre Miller, RB - Saints (on NFL IR right now)

My 3 Fantasy IR spots are currently filled with, so no real option there.
WR Cooper Kupp
RB Raheem Mostert
RB Jonathan Brooks

Normally I'd put Miller at the top of the list to drop, considering he hasn't done much with his career and gets hurt a lot. But the Saints offense looks like a wagon right now, so if anything happened to Kamara he'd be a big time pickup. No idea what to expect from Steele, could be a total washout, or a decent flex, or a high end RB2. Irving looks a lot better than White but on a pass-first team, and he's not Braelon Allen, IFYKWIM.

One more:
FFPC scoring:
Need a flex:

D.Mooney vs K.C.
C.Akers @ Minn
Akers is going to get the first crack at being lead back in a high power offense. He's the smart play, IMO but I also believe he's on a short leash and if he messes up early I expect Dare Ogunbowale to be involved.

Akers>Mooney

I drop Miller. Not only has he been injured and done nothing when healthy but he's also apparently in the dog house for attitude or some such.

It's a trade I would want to be in either side of so, it's probably a good one.

I would probably do it.
You'd be happy with either side?

I'm team A. I'd be getting rid of Hill.

I’m fine dropping Miller- no one will race to pick him up for a while. Perhaps pick him up when he’s full practice reports.

Second to me would be Mostert as he’s hurt and the offense is downgraded. A ton of his potential was from TD’s and there’s a drop for sure.

Half PPR, must win as I’m 0-2 and it’s toss up h2H. Need a RB2, WR3, and flex.

Pick 1 RB

White vs CAR
Najee vs LAC
Warren vs LAC

Pick 1 WR

Dell vs MIN
Higgins vs WAS
QJ vs PIT

Right now, I lean White due to matchup. I lean Dell and Higgins (flex option) due to their potential to pop and their matchups. I like QJ too but the matchup is rough and Herbert is hobbled.

Think it’s good for both teams but it’s interesting how Team A gets probably the best player right now and also probably the higher overall ceiling for the year. Works for me!

I would also be hesitant if I was on either side. My point is It feels very balanced.

I think I prefer your side of the deal. If for no other reason Jacobs & Tyreek have more miles on them and seem more likely to break down later in the season.

I keep reading/getting different answers at different sites to this! Start in my Flex?

Kelce, KC TE
or
Ford, Clev RB

Going with Strange with confidence due to the existing infrastructure and he performed on short notice. Plus he’s young and has untapped upside

Dobbins for Rice ?

Wanted to stack Rice with Mahomes. It would mean that I would have Rasaad and Javonte as my 2 and 3.
