Week 11 who should I start thread **OFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

This is where we ask questions and offer help. And thank you to all of the posters who come here to offer that help.

A couple notes:

NEW NOTE 11/02/21: I attempt to give well considered responses to all questions posted. Posting your questions prior to 1 hour before kickoff makes that a smoother process. TIA

1) This only works if people participate. If you ask for help it is good form to offer help to someone else.

2) It helps if you post the matchup. e.g. Mayfield vs Den or Matt Ryan @ Mia

3) Of course important league considerations (e.g. PPR, super-flex etc).

ETA: 4) Please go easy on the nicknames, save that for other threads. We can't help if we don't know who you are talking about.

View this as an exercise to help focus your thoughts about teams in general. Players you own may not be involved in these WDIS questions but certainly you will own players on many of these teams. Analyzing other players will help you identify things you may have otherwise not considered.

Need 3 from this group (if I lose out on picking up Dillon):

D'Ernest Johnson vs Det

Ingram II @ Philly

Beasley vs Colts

Pollard @ KC (typically my bench stash handcuff but is his role growing?)

E. Moore vs Miami

0.5 PPR. Also assuming Miles Sanders is another week off (or if he plays I'm hesitant to start him).

And a defense:

Miami vs Jets

Philly vs NO

GB at Minn

Seahawks vs Zona

Add/drop question. PPR league where I have two flex positions.

I've been rolling with Ekeler and Fournette in my RB1 and 2 slots. Great. Darrel Williams has done a great job holding down RB3 but he may turn into a pumpkin sooner rather than later. After these 3, it's a crapshoot. I've been aggregating lottery tickets:

* M. Ingram -- Useful for another week.

* AP -- Maybe he does something this week.

* J. Howard -- Getting run.

* C. Carson -- Could be done.

I'm 8-2 and with one more win I secure a bye so I'm looking for that last RB with upside. The question:

* Are any of the above RBs worth dropping for Jeff Wilson??

The SF offense may finally have arrived. E. Mitchell is clearly in the lead, but you know how injuries go. If he falters, it's Wilson's backfield.

I can only carry 8 RBs so somebody would have to go.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Lol...and of course, now E. Mitchell has a broken finger and is having surgery. Could still play, but the door is now open for Wilson.

Was thinking maybe dump Howard. Faces NO this week and Sanders should be back soon I'd think. Still think AP with easier matchups could surprise.

Week 10 was a down one for me, let's hope I can pick it up RoS.

I went 9-11-3 and the Coin Toss went 10-10-3

On the season I am 130-115-16 and the Toss is 125-120-16

Right now a lot of your decisions depend on the status of Chubb & Kamara and possibly Mike White.  How can we say anything about what is your best option until we know.

If Chubb is vaccinated then we can safely assume he will be back which probably makes D'Ernest an afterthought like he was in the two previous games with Chubb in the lineup.

If we also assume Kamara is back that knocks Ingram down to the Pollard tier of somewhere between 8-14 touches.

With the very limited information we have I like Moore first. He seems to be earning consistent targets and he is really exciting with the ball in his hands. It seems like he can work in small spaces and maybe wiggle free.

After him you have a lot of dice rolling. I think Beasley has the most well defined role out of the rest of your options.  His floor is zero but he has double digit target upside and that's not just a one off either.  He has double digit targets in four of nine games and another game with nine targets so I think you need to very seriously consider assuming that risk.

After that Ingram makes the most sense to me. Maybe Kamara isn't 100%, it's also a very winnable game so he will hopefully have more options to spell Kamara than if they were getting rolled out of the building.  That's also the reason I am a little down on Pollard.  I think KC is going to be a very tough matchup and Dallas will be running their best players as long as the game is up for grabs. I see Pollard with a smaller load unless Dallas is either down or up by an insurmountable amount.

Moore>Beasley>Ingram>Pollard>D'Ernest

I like the Miami for your defense.  That Jets team can hemorrhage points to opposing defenses.

Philly is possibly a good option if Kamara is out, but they have not gotten after the QB at all this season (12 sacks in 9 games and 6 sacks against Detroit. Philly is not Detroit) and they are 25th in the league in forcing TOs

GB at Minn completely depends on which Minn team shows up but regardless they are good enough to take away any rushing yardage, passing yardage & scoring bonuses you earn even if they are having a bad day.

Hawks are playing better but they still aren't playing good.

Miami>>the field

I would drop AARDP and I wouldn't think twice.  Maybe he finds a good game in his bindle bindle but he most likely only finds half eaten cans of beans.

Story of my season this year. Thanks for the help!

And no-go on Dillon, so I'm hoping something positive shakes out with these RBs.
Flaccid is starting which negatively impacts my personal feelings about Moore. But I am not sure if that is enough to put him below Pollard.

Who knows, maybe Flaccid (that is really the most appropriate auto-correct I may have ever seen) will be an improvement?

I'm pretty surprised they're starting him but hey, it's the Jets. Makes no sense as dump off passes to Carter and some longer connections to Moore/Davis would cool that blitzing down.

A few early ones. Half PPR, need 1:

  • Cooks @ Titans
  • Renfrow vs Bungles
  • Moore vs Dolphins
Same situation:

  • Toney @ Bucs
  • Gallup @ Chefs
  • Agnew vs Niners
PPR, need RB/flex working on the assumption Hopkins and Kamara are out:

  • Collins vs Cards
  • Davis vs Pats
  • Freeman @ Bears
  • Hines @ Bills
  • Agnew vs Niners
  • Cook vs Stealers
Will likely have a dumpster fire superflex question later but these are what I'm looking at for now, cheers

Tough one, but I would lean Cooks, but I wouldn't fault anyone going with Renfrow.  MIA D is pretty good so I am not going to consider E Moore.

Same situation:

  • Toney @ Bucs
  • Gallup @ Chefs
  • Agnew vs Niners
Don't trust that Toney is healthy.  Go with Gallup in a potential shootout.

Freeman and Hines.  I am assuming that IND will be trailing in this game so Hines could get some good PPR love here.

Will likely have a dumpster fire superflex question later but these are what I'm looking at for now, cheers

1) Renfro.

2) Since it is 1/2 point PPR I would go with Toney and hope he is healthy after the bye. I think he has a better chance at getting a larger workload.

3) Ouch!Q! The Ravens released Bell so maybe they will ease Murray back in and give Freeman the majority of the carries.  Supposedly Davis will be the starter if Patterson won't go and the only reason they gave Gallman most of the work was because they were being blown out. That being said I think he will get the majority of the workload and get his 3 YPC. On shear volume he might get into the end zone. I got lucky that I did pretty well in spite of having to start Collins last week and don't trust him but he would be my option if Patterson plays.

Typical D scoring with some points based on points and yards allowed.

Patriots at ATL or Browns vs DET?
Both are great options. I have the Pats going in 1 league and think they are the easy play if Patterson is out since they don't have any offensive playmakers.

you have to go with patriots. Patterson probably out and cowboys shut them down last week. I truly believe in bb defense and they will always take away best option so pitts probably will be a non factor this week and I expect patriots to run ball all over them and dominate the clock.

Full ppr, bonus points for 40+ yd plays..

Qb decision, all facing defense that are giving points..all projecting mid  20's

Throw out Moore. Flacco is starting so not sure who he’s going to favor and how bad he’s going to be. Go with cooks. Last year he went 9-68-1 and 11-166-2 against them. They are 32nd against wrs. Given history and matchup, he’s a good play.

Same situation:

  • Toney @ Bucs

agnew, it’s a volume play. Toney is so boom bust and now that everyone is healthy im not sure how much action he’ll see. Gallup just got back and I’m not sure how much targets he’ll get. Lamb was pulled out early last game too but he’ll be in full game this week. Agnew has been decent lately and should get enough opportunity run/receiving to give you a decent game

I think Kamara plays based on info I’m seeing now.

Floor matters guillotine league ppr where lowest team is eliminated. Only 8 teams left so scores have been creeping up as well as level of talent across all teams. As stacked as I am with chase/Jefferson/aj brown/lamb/Lamar/hockenson/Conner I’m projected 2nd to last…..

Who should I use for my last rb slot? Barkley vs TB on Monday? Or play safe and pick Harris/Stevenson vs ATL tomorrow. Harris if he starts Stevenson if not. Think Harris is pretty much a lock to start though. Issue is if it’s a committee and both sabotage each other’s values. I’m inclined to believe in Harris and matchup and a positive game script with red zone looks and enough volume to run out the clock for both

Barkley supposedly looks explosive in practice and tb isn’t same run d as early with their defense injuries potentially opening them up to a big day. However, barkley plays on Monday and even though he probably plays…. If he doesn’t I’m stuck playing someone like collins or AP or something.

Standard: Stevenson, Foreman, or Miles Sanders
We don't even know if Sanders is playing yet. Even then, wouldn't play him this week.

Foreman is interesting against HOU as is Stevenson against ATL. I see them having similar stat lines against weak (ish) teams. Foreman is not a special runner and is getting a last chance due to injury. Stevenson is young and flashed early, but plays for BB which means we don't know what to expect.

If you just need points, go with Foreman as he probably will be the lead runner and GL back. Stevenson will most like split with Harris and may even get less carries. But he has homerun potential.

Thanksin advance for feedback:

Need 2 RB PPR

  • Rhomadre Stevenson
  • Antonio Gibson
  • Adrian Peterson
  • Mark Ingram (not if Kamara is active)
Need 2 WR PPR

  • Devante Adams (hopefully no real issue)
  • Mike Williams
  • Brandin Crooks
Need Flex PPR:

  • Mike Giseki
  • Any of the players from above not selected
Desperate for a W or its' 100% over.  One game at a time so may roll with Stevenson and gamble that he continues to have the hot hand carry over from last week.  I think certainly he and Harris get touches but maybe Stevenson keeps trending and/or gets the GL touches?  Could go the other way but I'd rather go down swinging..

Ingram I think is most definite if Kamara is out again but Gibson is intriguing too and ADP can get goalline?

RE: Flex, I'm pretty certain I flex one of the WR's.

Thank You!

For what it’s worth, I’m playing Stevenson. Stevenson is better than foreman. Has a great matchup and if anything I’m more assured of his Carries than foreman. I think patriots d will dominate Atlanta and both will be viable starts. Still not sold that foreman is the guy in titans. I trust waldmans judgement and his thoughts that AP is the guy but he had no practice so they are easing him in. Seems like foreman gets all the outside runs and screens that were executed well. AP is the interior runner and goal line back who typically gets the 4th quarter Carries to close it out. But the online has been bad so they get a lot of penetration which makes AP look worse on paper and why foreman running away from penetration is working more. on film coaches may see it differently from use laymen who don’t know as much about football as we think we do and rely on YPC and eye test.

also have sanders and sitting him. Not sure if he plays yet and I take Thursday sure thing over him. Not sure of his Carries either even if he does play.

Decimal scoring...1PPR

Need a final flex from this motley crew:

                                                                     K.Drake vs Cinn

                                                                     A.Peterson vs Hou

                                                                    B.Aiyuk @ Jax

                                                                    J.Landry vs Det

                                                                    E.Engram @ TB

Thanks as always Chaka!

Need a flex in standard:

  • A. COLLINS vs AZ
  • D. SINGLETARY vs Indy
  • ENO @ Seattle
Foreman and Murray are available on waivers

Am I completely nuts thinking

Pat Freiermuth @ LAC

is the play over

TJ Hockenson @ CLE ?

The rookie has had 30 targets over the last four games. Hock saw one target and put a donut in the rain at Heinz Field (Campbell called plays for the first time ever.)

Prior 3 games TJ was fine, 31 targets and decent not great production. But it’s looking like Tim Blough will be the Lions starting QB this weekend, and that’s never a good thing.

ETA: correction, Tim Boyle - 4 pass attempts in 3 years - is the likely starter of Goof can’t go.

0.5 PPR League

Not sure what to do about Darrel Williams vs CEH if he is activated but leaning towards Williams.

Besides that decision I need to pick 1 FLEX from this list:

Kenny Golladay (@TB)

Elijah Moore (vs MIA)

Donovan Peoples-Jones (vs DET)

Dawson Knox (vs IND)

D'Ernest Johnson (vs DET)

Ty Johnson (vs MIA)

or Williams/CEH (whichever I do not choose to start at RB)

With A Jones down in my PPR I’m left to chose from….

D’Ernest Johnson vs Det

Kenyan Drake vs Cin

D’Onta Foreman vs Hou

If Chubb is still out for some reason it’s a no brainer, if he’s playing the choice gets messy.  I’m still leaning D’Ernest but thoughta are welcomed and appreciated.

Full PPR, need a Flex

RB Alex Collins vs Cardinals (assuming Chris Carson is not activated)
RB Jeff Wilson at Jaguars (depending on health of Mitchell)
RB Damien Harris at Falcons (off the injury report, Pats should run a lot, but Stevenson looked very good last 2 games)
WR/TE Kyle Pitts vs Patriots (my feeling is this is the guy Bellichick tries to erase, especially if Patterson is inactive)
WR/TE Emmanuel Sanders vs Colts
WR/TE Kadarius Toney at Buccs
WR/TE Kenny Golladay at Buccs (currently on WW)

Harris is on my IR so I would have to drop somebody to activate him, so that's another reason to not put him in this week.

For the 2 Giants receivers, I'd love to see an FP next to Toney and Golladay, see Daniel Jones healthy, and see Sterling Shepard as a DNP.  Barkley status another potential wild card, But it's a Monday game so no practice reports yet this week.  DT Vita Vea questionable for Buccs and CB Richard Sherman went to IR on Wednesday.  I would have to make 2 roster moves to pick up Golladay, since I have to activate Harris first off IR (and drop somebody) and then swap in Golladay for somebody (and drop a second player).  Seems like a lot of moves to make just to pick up Golladay.  We have a short bench

Also Pitts and Harris are Thursday night so can't totally punt this to the weekend.

.5 PPR

Hurts vs New Orleans or Russell Wilson vs Arizona

Diontae Johnson at Chargers or DJ Moore vs WFT

leaning Wilson as he had 2 great games against Arizona last season, and don’t like Lattimore on D. Smith and Goedert likely out.  If Big Ben plays, leaning Diontae.

.5 PPR

Hurts vs New Orleans or Russell Wilson vs Arizona

Tough one but I would go Hurts, better floor.  Wilson definitely didn't look good last week.  Also, there's no guarantee that Kyler comes back, the AZ-SEA game could be a slow game with a lot of rushing.

Diontae Johnson at Chargers or DJ Moore vs WFT

Agree - Dionte if Ben is active

leaning Wilson as he had 2 great games against Arizona last season, and don’t like Lattimore on D. Smith and Goedert likely out.  If Big Ben plays, leaning Diontae.

As much as I understand, I would probably still go Pitts.  He should get enough love to be a solid flex option.

If you're willing to gamble some more,  go with Toney.

Agree.  Go with Johnson.  Even if Chubb is active, CLE will have the lead so Johnson should get a lot of carries to close out the game.

Assuming Damien Harris and Cordarelle Patterson play:

Damien Harris / CPatt / Michael Carter / David Montgomery pick 2 in a .5 PPR

I would not play Patterson.  Too much risk of aggravating the injury, plus BB is really good at taking out a player.....will it be Patterson or Pitts?

I like Harris and Montgomery, but I wouldn't fault anyone going with Carter in place on Montgomery.

I like Hurts here as well. NO is pretty good against the run, so he should be leaned on a little more. Wilson was pretty bad last week so he gives me pause.

I like Harris tonight. Stevenson had a lot of touches a few days ago, seems fitting that Harris would do the same tonight coming back. I think he'll be the lead guy tonight with Stevenson mixing in

Tough one.  I would probably lean Daniel Jones.  My guess is that NE is going run the ball right down ATL's throat.  I wouldn't trust Cam until he gets a few games under his belt.

I' facing Josh Allen and have Kyle Pitts/Dawson Knox at TE.... I feel like NE is going to shut down Pitts tonight and want to lean toward Knox to cancel out anything Josh Allen might do....last week he only had 1 catch though....

Pitts or Knox ?

Mark Ingram entering the convo now.

I don’t think Kamara plays this week. Where would he rank?
