Week 12 Injury Thread (1 Viewer)

madd futher

Footballguy
I just logged on and am aware of Kevin Smith (although I have no clue as to what happened the severity.) Feel free to update this until the Official one is posted and pinned. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Not a game thread injury, but Nnamdi Asomugha suffered a knee injury and was carted off the Eagles pracitce field today. Sounds like it would be serious.

bishop out

packers ILB Desmond Bishop left Thursday's game against the Lions with a calf injury.

Bishop, who came into the game nursing a calf issue, limped off in the first quarter. He was replaced by rookie D.J. Smith. Bishop is questionable to return.

Lions FS Louis Delmas left Thursday's game in the first half with a knee injury.

Delmas is questionable to return and headed back to the locker room for further testing. Chris Harris has come on at free safety.

Packers ILB AJ Hawk left Sunday's game against the Lions with a calf injury.

Lions CB Chris Houston left Thursday's game against the Packers in the first half with a knee injury.

looks like pack just lost erik walden

James Starks hasn't seen the first since the first quarter. Various tweets opine that he may have re-injured himself.

k smith = high ankle sprain
I saw this (high ankle sprain) on a different fantasy news site. I started K. Smith in both my leagues, ouch. Keiland Williams looked to be running pretty well, not sure why Mo Morris wasn't playing late, although he's a little guy and maybe they just didn't wanted to balance the load between the two.If it is a high ankle sprain, it's going to be hard for him to come back before fantasy playoffs.

Did anything happen to Maurice Morris or did they just bring in Keiland Williams for garbage time?
His carries appeared to be gameplan related. He was just spelling Morris at that point.

Maurice Morris was benched for Kevin Smith heading into the Lions' Thanksgiving Day game vs. the Packers, but a leg injury to Smith forced Morris back into action -- and he came through. Morris had 39 yards on seven carries and led the Lions with 81 yards on nine catches, playing quite a bit once Smith hit the sideline. He did share some carries with Keiland Williams, who scored on a 16-yard run in the fourth quarter.

(Updated 11/24/2011).

Fantasy Analysis

The early report on Smith is that he suffered a high-ankle sprain, which should keep him out of the Lions' next game at New Orleans. That would re-open the door for Morris to start and play a lot and in turn make him a No. 3 RB in standard formats and a low-end No. 2 RB in PPR leagues. We'll keep you posted on the Smith news, but after everyone abandoned ship on Morris when Smith emerged last week, he'll likely be back in the good graces of Fantasy owners beginning in Week 13.

Not sure, but I think Morris might have hurt his knee. K Smith on twitter said "Thanks for the concerns and prayers!!!! I feel ok and pray further testing will confirm"

fwiw moris had the knee prior to the game (unless you heard something new)The Detroit Lions released their final injury report Wednesday afternoon and runningMaurice Morris was listed as probable with a knee issue. Morris was a full participant in practice throughout the week and likely will be plenty available.

Last Play: 1-10-TB 38(3:44) C.Johnson left end to TB 35 for 3 yards (D.Bowers). TEN-C.Johnson was injured during the play. His return is Questionable.

From the replay, it looks like Johnson hit his head on the turf as he was being tackled and was "woozy" according to the announcers.

Turns out they were taping Beanie's hand and it doesn't look like the leg was the problem. He's sitting on the bench talking to Skelton now and should be fine.

Benson is walking OK, but when he tried to run he really had trouble putting weight on it... still trying to work it out as he gets to the sideline.

Leinart walking off to the locker room within the last 2 minutes of the first half. Landed on his throwing shoulder when being tackled after throwing a pass. TJ Yates is in.

Leinart will not return to the game according to the game announcers.

Beanie Wells down after he fumbled, doesn't look too good. Cannot tell what it is, possibly a knee if I had to guess.

Leinart in street clothes on the sideline with shoulder in a sling. Talk it might be a broken collarbone.

Is mcgahee out?????? whats the deal they have ball and j. johnson in there this is bs... that mcgahee is a punk, always hurt.
