Started this thread since I didnt see one yet.

Premier matchups:

Indy hosting Cincy

Denver hosting KC

Arizona hosting Rams

GB hosting Houston

NE @ Sea

Ten hosting Clev

Ballsy pick:

Minn @ Det

I still have NE, Indy, Was, GB, NO, Atl left amongst others and am looking at Atlanta vs Stl week 17. Like Indy next week vs det and NO vs det in week 16 (Despite the losses to suspension) but dont like anyone @ Sea so not liking the NE pick.

Your outlook if you are still alive....? :hifive:

I'm going with TENN in an absolute beatdown over the Browns. Week 15 gets a lot tougher for me.... not happy with my only really good choice, NE @ OAK.

Same plan here. I'm hoping a lot of people who took Tennessee last week will take Indy this week and leave me as one of the few with Indy available next week. For now, besides Indy, I don't see a lot of heavy favorites next week. Also looking at Tampa Bay at home vs. San Diego Week 16 followed by Atlanta at home vs. St. Louis Week 17.

Going with Zona. Minni could lose this week, wouldn't touch them. If I had Tenn that would be the obvious pick. Dorsey's going to get killed.

I have a tough decision to make. I like Arizona at home against the Rams. I like the Cards to bounce back after their Turkey day beat down. Rams do have S Jackson back from injury, but that team quit a long time ago. Bulger is horrible. Torry Holt begged out of the Fish game. Then again, I could see Warner throwing 3 picks, losing 3 fumbles, and the Cards losing. It shouldn’t happen, but it could. I also like the Colts at home over the lowly Bengals. The Colts are probably more solid than Arizona. However, the Colts at home next week versus the Lions = LOCKORAMA. If I go with the Colts this week, my best and only real option for next week would be the Eagles at home versus the Browns. The Browns are down to their 3rd string QB Dorsey, but being an Eagles homer, I just don’t trust them. The Birds can put up a stinker real easy. Look at the Bengals game. Also, the Browns actually played the Colts tight, they held them to 3 offensive points - the Colts won 10-6 on a defensive TD. For some reason, I don’t think the Browns players have given up on the season, nor will they. Not sure I could say the same for the Eagles if they get their butts kicked this weekend in NY.

What do you guys think? Cards this week with my eye on the Colts for next week, or the Colts this week with my eyes on the Eagles for next week? Thanks.

We have to pick two teams per week in weeks 14 and 15 and then 3 per week for the final two weeks.

Currently have SD, Ind, Den, and Baltimore as considerations this week for the two picks. Next week the best plays are Phil over Cle, Indy over Det, and Mia over SF.

Am I crazy to think that SD should rout Oak tomorrow night? I kinda think I should go with SD and Balt this week and then Indy and Philly next week. Any input?

Im taking NE. 2 starting lineman out. QB very fragile. Starting middle LB hurt. Pats MUST win. Seattle is done.Next 3 weeks I plan to ride out the browns opponents. Dorsey is not an NFL QB. Will get ugly. As will IND vs. Lions next week...

I'm guessing you've already used Tennessee so you can't use them this week. I looked ahead to these 2 weeks a long time ago and saved Tennessee and Indy because Week 15 looked like Indy would be the only double-digit favorite. But, due to the injuries to the Cleveland QBs, I think you're safe either way you go. The only reason I can think of to not use Arizona this week is that you may want to use them Week 17 when they are at home against Seattle...depending on your other available options.

Going with NE this week. NO at DET week 16, then GB v DET week 17. Next week is a little dicey, already used IND, and will likely have to use a playoff team to make sure I win. No more strikes left...

Det last home game of 2008 and last chance to give their fans something... Think they do it for Johnny??

Yes, Tenn is gone for me. Week 17 I was thinking GB at home over Detroit, or ATL at home over STL. Probably GB. So I really don't need to save Arizona. On paper I should be ok either way, but I have a feeling an upset's brewing in one of those combos.....

My plan before the Cleveland QB mess was to go with either AZ, GB, or the Jets this week and Indy next. With Cleveland playing the 3rd string QB from here on out it appears I am thinking Indy this week and Philly next at home on Monday night. Week 16 still concerns me a bit but with only 3 guys left in my pool I am hoping maybe they drop before then. The guy who runs our pool gives us no names, only the picks, so I have no idea who the other two guys have left at this time. Curious to know the other posters here if they are still alive in a money pool, if so how much to the winner and how much was it to donate?

We donated $20 and the pool is at $3120.00

Good Luck to you all!!

As of right now I think the Colts are the best selection of what I have left this week. I was thinking of trying to save them for next week, but this week is as good as any. Peyton has historically been stellar v. Cincy (5-0) with something around 285 ypg, and around 14 TD 4 INT career wise. Against Cleveland he is now (5-0) v. them, but with only 2 career TD's and as I made a topic last week about his expectations, I was correct and he had a horrible game v. them. Week 15 Philly v. Cleveland looks to be the best spot there as I think Jim Johnson's scheming should get after Ken Dorsey. Week 16 unfortunately looks like NO @ DET as the games that week look atrocious. Week 17 would either be GB v. DET, which I'd like to stay away from as it is a divisional game OTR, and ATL v. STL.

23/439 left in mine. $100 per person and after the website fees it brings the grand prize to around $40k. glgl!

If you haven't used Minnesota, Indianapolis or Tennessee yet, now is the week to do it.

In terms of ballsy picks, I like Oakland, Philadelphia and Kansas City.

Week 14, $30k on the line...ballsy isn't exactly the word I would use for anyone taking 3-9 Oakland at San Diego.

Fixed. San Diego ain't that good, folks.
Not saying it can't happen...on any given Sunday (or in this case, Thursday)...but there are much safer options when there's this much on the line. We've come to far. We don't need anybody freaking out. We need to keep our composure.

Exactly, ballsy at this point is not the plan. Just some good ole homework and reasoning will do just fine.

Week 16 is a nightmare of sorts:

NO @ Det looks ok but scary (Det last chance at home)

NE vs AZ - West coast travelling teams have won what, 2 games this year?

TB vs SD - SD doesnt look all that good..

Not much else I would touch.. This could be elimination weekend for a lot ..

Glad to see I'm not the only one worried about Week 16. I've been waiting for something to happen to make Week 16 a little clearer, but it hasn't yet. The best option I see right now is Tampa Bay vs. San Diego. San Diego traveling to K.C. the week before, back home and then the dreaded East coast trip for the West coast team. I'm hoping San Diego has packed it in by then and Tampa Bay is in a division championship/playoff seeding dogfight.

I mentioned this one last week as the toughest call.I don't foresee many big point spreads at all that week for any games, let alone ones not used.New Orleans might be the best of many hard choices.

Used Minny already, and used Tenn last week. Going with Indy this week.$10 entry - 2,290 entries - 79 people left.
Seems like alot here are taking obvious playoff teams as their picks. Am I in the only league where you continue into the playoffs until everyone strikes out? I'm saving NYG & TEN if at all possible, but I probably won't make it past the wildcard games since I've used most of the likely teams.

How about NYJ @ SEA

I've got Arizona at home looking to win their division on 10 days rest.

My other good choice, Indianapolis, is far too good to save for next week.
