Week 3 2025 who should I start thread **OFFICIALLY UNOFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

This is where we ask questions and offer help.

Thank you to all the posters who come here to offer that help.

A couple notes:

I attempt to give well considered responses to all questions posted. I can't get to everything, but I'll try.

1) This only works if people participate. If you ask for help it is good form to offer help to someone else.

2) Please post the matchup. e.g. Penix vs Den or James Cook @ Mia

3) Please post important league scoring considerations (e.g. PPR, super-flex etc).

4) Please go easy on the nicknames, save that for other threads. We can't help if we don't know who you are talking about.

5) NEW REQUEST: Please remember that if you come here asking advice, it is greatly appreciated if you offer advice to others. TIA

View this as an exercise to help focus your thoughts about teams in general. Players you own may not be involved in these WDIS questions but certainly you will own players on many of these teams. Analyzing other players will help you identify things you may have otherwise not considered.

(Joe Edit: When you ask, please let us know which way you're leaning. And more importantly, why. What do you see as the pros and cons. Most people will be much more likely to help if they feel like you've put in a little work on this as well.)

Let's move on to week 3

I want to thank everyone for their participation last week. It really felt like there was an uptick in people offering help

I appreciate it.

Great job.

I'll start.

Bo Nix @ LAC
Daniel Jones @ TEN

I have Jones in and I think I'm sticking with it. He's on fire ATM and is the #2 QB after two weeks tied with Mahomes and only behind Lamar. And the matchup is worlds better than Nix @ the Chargers.

After I told you to start JJ McCarthy last week, you may not want to listen to me but I think you stick with the extremely hot hand and that would be Jones

That's okay... I ignored you.

Harsh but smart

Standard scoring non-ppr league. I need to start two of these players:

Etienne vs HOU - Has been solid for 2 weeks; hard to bench in a non-ppr
Hill vs BUF - Played him week 1 and benched him in wk 2; he flashed a bit and probably has the higher ceiling and a fairly solid floor
Higgins vs MIN - Everyone is expecting him to drop with Browning at the helm
Deebo vs LV - Has been slow and steady through 2 weeks

As of today, I'm leaning towards Etienne and Hill; Hill plays on Thursday so need to make an early decision.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Obviously, if you like Hill then you should start him. I don't like the matchup much but, if he's right he can ball against anyone and, it only takes one play to make a nice week. And, you have to expect the Bills to put up a lot of points and Tua can try to keep up a lot better than Fields.

My impulse is to go with Etienne. He's is balling, the Texans are faltering on offense and the defense gave up 169 rush yards to a Bucs team down both tackles. Houston is talented, on paper, so maybe they circle the wagons but this looks like a nice matchup.

Deebo should benefit from Ekeler's absence as much as anyone. He should be a 10 touch guy going forward. It's also a plus matchup. The obvious concern is your appetite for risk of Daniels doesn't play. But the Raiders do have a history of making backup QBs look like heroes.

And Tee Higgins isn't a bad fallback plan if you prefer Browning to Mariota.

It's close for me between Tyreek and Deebo but, I generally lean towards players with the most upside and that's Tyree

Etienne>Tyreek>Deebo>Tee

Great in-depth take, thank you.
