Week 3 Game Thread - NY Jets at SD Chargers (1 Viewer)

15 carries first half, and 1 so far in second half (despite worries of the toe stiffening up at half-time. GO LT!9 yard catch LT. as I edit this.

So let's see. LT has 16 carries with a maximum rush of 5 yards. Sproles comes in and immediately carries 20+ yards. Screw LT's tiny 1 yard TD run, Sproles is the guy now.

Norv has the option to use both. To tell you the truth, I almost think Norv would rather have a 16 play 5 minute drive, than a 4 play 1 minute drive the way he coaches the game.I own both, but played LT tonight. Also have Rivers. Have got to be close to covering my 21.7 I needed.am actually .7 down. feel good about getting that.but just happy to see LT looking good too. Lets not forget that Rivers has been lighting up the secondary and when LT is in they have been keying on him.

Have you seen Sproles block? Neither have I (at the pro level), because he gets ran over like a little girl. Take a look at his college games.

IMO if LT retired today, the Chargers would move to a spread attack with Sproles as the single back and 3 WR sets standard. And IMO they would be one of the top 5 offenses in the NFL in that mode, with Sproles as a big part of that, operating in space a lot.

Dang - Thre are a lot of folks in here over reacting to this LT thing. I took him #1 overall. It is what it is and oh yeah i though this was the game thread. There is a venting thread for those who want to go over there and ##### about how LT is done.

It is painful watching him (game related). He isn't even averaging 3 yards per carry. He makes absolutely zero cuts at. He runs straight forward, hits a guy and falls down. Offensive linemen have better moves than he has right now.

I'm sure it's painful for him to run. His toe is clearly bothering him.

I would. Jacobs will NEVER crack your starting lineup unless two guys go down. Then again you can hold on to all of them and trade if a need at QB arises.

I know Favre and the Jets offense are still a "work in progress," to use Jaws's phrase :( , but you gotta be impressed with SD's defense tonight. They have almost pitched a shutout, as the Jets 14 points came off an INT return for a TD and a KO return to the 5-yard line.
