Missing Crabtree and Vernon Davis and you're wondering what happened to him?Got offered Kaep and Dez Bryant for Peyton Manning in my dynasty, and believe it or not, I'm hesitant to pull the trigger. If he ran more by design I think the offense would open up a bit, and when Davis was out he looked awfully ordinary. What the hell happened to him in 10 months?
Same for me, too bad he isn't a stat whore like Peyton ManningI played him because I couldn't play Pryor. Luckily, It worked out for me
Can't trade this turd for peanuts. Guess we are stuck holding and praying? So now what? Lol
Wilson got 22 points in a blowout against the Jags. If Wilson can do that, Kaep should do the same too..Guys are rough. He's only what 14 games into his career? If this game were close, he would have had 300 yards and 3-4 TDs. Pretty obvious they shut any risk in the offense down when they went up 21-3.
I believe what my eyes saw on the field tonight. He's timid, the play calling is timid, the guy doesn't use his legs nor do the coaches seem to want to let him run. You make a good point, but this is fantasy, and he's pretty much been ranked QB6 all season. He's not even looking like a QB1 right now unless the training wheels come off. Three stinkers in a row and a decent Houston D next week. I'm sure the "sharks" will say buy low, but the panic is real and justified.Bottom line, without his significant bump from rushing stats, he's a QB2 with slight upside.Guys are rough. He didn't have to do much, game was always in hand. He did have a QB rating of 115. He missed some open receivers but he also made some nice throws. Hard to take much from Thursday night games.I believe what my eyes saw on the field tonight. Well wait a minute - last week the play calling wasn't timid and the 49ers were buried by the Colts. Despite averaging 7.5 yards a carry, Gore only touched the ball 11 times. Right now, without Crabtree (and until tonight missing Vernon Davis), defenses have just been camping out on the edges and bracketing Boldin. IMO, "timid" is EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. What made the read option so dynamic for this team last year was the fact that Gore was gouging people between the tackles. The real secret to the read option is great interior O-line play and making the LB's and ends cheat inside. EVERYTHING is predicated on that. It's like building a house. The foundation is the interior running game and only when that's successful - will it open up the edges for Kaepernick. And did you notice how much room Kaepernick had on those play actions rolling out to his right? Three words...interior running game. Those DE's started pinching down.I believe what my eyes saw on the field tonight. He's timid, the play calling is timid, the guy doesn't use his legs nor do the coaches seem to want to let him run. I stuck with him--and Anquan. I've got Bradford backing him up and he's still got better numbers for the season after last night but the matchup called for Kaep. By our league scoring they did what I hope to need going up against the Peyton owner but then I didn't draft him to carry the team, only targeted him as 'last starter'. My team is built around a receiving corps, actually, with Boldin being my #4 through three games. He's looked dreadful the last two weeks. Are you sticking with him as your starter or do you have another option?
By the sounds of it (at least via his Twitter) he is OK. If anything his pride is hurt because he was screaming like a little girl when the injury occurred.HUGE loss at the end here of Joe Staley. That doesn't bode well.
please keep us updatedI've got an offer of Kaep and Lamar Miller for my Rivers and Joique Bell. I've got Stafford, so I'm not desperate at quarterback, but even with Kaep's lackluster play these last 3 weeks, I'm still leaning towards taking it.
I'm slightly hesitant, as I really believe in Bell's value and don't think much of Miller right now. But it's a low risk trade overall, and I wouldn't need to start Kaep right away, so may just do it cause it feels like the right call.
Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning Shady? The title of the thread is "What are Kaepernick owners doing?". No - but he is giving you an idea what Kaep owners are doing - trading him for another decent QB (giving you valuation) or letting him ride the bench until SF rights the offensive ship.Hes not even a Kapernick ownerWake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning Shady? He's a good poster. Someone must have pissed in his cheerios this morning.Shady's been a ##### lately.
So, Brees and Peyton have never had surly message board postings, I take it.Shady's been a ##### lately.

I wasn't being sarcastic, but you're right, it is a no-brainer deal. I only said I was slightly hesitant because of my distaste for Miller and my beilef that Bush will get hurt, and that Bell will still have flex numbers when Bush is healthy.Sounds like sarcasm, cause that is a no brainer deal.Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning Shady? I'm with Shady. There's an entire other forum for you to ask for trade advice. Your accepting/rejecting that specific trade doesn't help anyone else in the slightest.Wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning Shady? its not the fact that they ran the ball a ton. I dont think anybody expected Kap to be a 300 yd passer every game. But the expectation was probably something like 220 yds passing, 40 yds rushing which in my league is the equivalent pts wise. Hes not getting the rushing yds so its killing his value. Also the guy looked HORRIBLE in the 1st qtr, then was on fire for the 2nd & 3rd qtr, and then had a bunch of 3 and outs and a fumble after that. That kind of inconsistency WITHIN a game is maddening. You guys are ridiculous.
Kaep scores 20 fantasy points in the 1st half and then doesn't do anything in the second half because they were blowing Stl out. He just fed the RBs for the rest of the game. It wasn't a bad game by any means.
I swear, you guys will complain and panic about any little thing these days.
Really? Were ridiculous because we drafted a guy to be a QB1 and through 25% of the season he's performing at a QB2 level? You guys are ridiculous.
