When I was a bag boy as a teenager, I had a manager that referred to them as buggies as well.

When I was a kid we called them carriages. I am not sure if that was my mom's Ohio roots or a weird Long Island thing. I think it's an Ohio thing.

Now I use shopping cart or carriage interchangeably.

In Australia and the UK it would be 97% for Shopping Trolley. Not sure about other parts of the world

Yep - definitely heard buggy from my Mom and others.  I've never heard wagon, carriage or trolley though.
