What do you expect out of Best this week? (1 Viewer)

I'll say 16 carries for 68 yards and 6 catches for 45 yards. Too hard to predict TD's but he certainly has a good chance to score in this game.

From Bleacher Report. hes #1 of 10 players who will bust out this week. (there prediction)

From a fantasy perspective, week’s one and two were by far the best weeks for owners of Jahvid Best.

Trust me, I own him.

But since then, a battle with turf toe and a decline in touches has certainly rubbed the luster off of the Cal standout.

The good news is, his speed looked much better against the Jest last week, and oh yeah, he faces the league’s worst run defense in the Buffalo Bills.

Jahvid Best is a two prong attack player in that, he is good for roughly five or six catches a game as well as the damage he does on the ground, and he protects the ball very well.

I’ll predict Best will finish this game with 16 carries for 98 yards and 1 TD, along with 6 catches for 65 yard and a single TD

Id jack off a chicken if he did, cause i have him in 2 leagues playing pivotal matchups against one of toughest opponents...

Sounds like you've done it before. Please keep that to yourself.

I think we all fell in love after a flukey week 1 and week 2. This guy just isn't starting NFL RB material. Change of pace back, at best.

I completely disagree. This guy is criminally misused by his coach. Running him up the gut all the time and not throwing him screens is just plain dumb. Two coaches in today's game trying to show who can misuse their explosive rookie RB the most.

I agree that this guy needs open space to be effective (although don't they all), but this guy is awful as a lead back (unless you play in a league that awards 1 yard runs).

he isn't a lead back. They should just acknowledge that and start Smith. Meanwhile, Fred Jackson having the game of his life.

Pretty disappointed--can't see them game to know exactly what is going on, but lots of touches for Kevin Smith and no explosive plays for Best.

I won't bore you with my start/sit decisions, but something tells me I'm going to be regretting putting Best in there by late this afternoon.

What he said. For everyone who thought Best was the next Chris Johnson or Ray Rice after the Eagles game, well that's obviously not happening. That said, he's been misused in the worst way. The Lions should be playing to his strengths, but instead they're using him in ways that expose his weaknesses. Really unfortunate, but probably not changing anytime soon.

He has been decent for me in a PPR all season, picking up 12-15 points most weeks...so I expected AT LEAST that today. I am shocked by how poorly he performed today against the Bills. Given his weak playoff schedule, I think he may be on my bench going forward. LeGarrette Blount isn't a great PPR option because of the lack of catches, but I feel like I can at least count on him to not completely suck against the worst run defense in the NFL.

Mr Garp, having not watched much of Jahvid in college, but watching every dismal carry in his NFL carreer thus far, could you please remind me again what those strengths are? He can't break tackles, can't make people miss, runs upright..i suppose he is uh..fast? Is it too late to hope for the next Darrin Sproles? Dave Megget? Ronnie Harmon? Eric Metcalf? Joe Washington?

I don't watch Detroit much, but is a healthy Kevin Smith a better fit for their offense? I can understand that a first round pick has a long leash, but this is frustrating! :goodposting:

Anyone with a decent amount of knowledge knows it is not all his fault.... He is primarily being used between the tackles and the O-line is atrocious at run blocking.... (ex. LT .. get a line in front of someone and watch what happens....) ... He is not running routes as a receiver.. more just a checkdown/dump off safety valve right now.... Could be the turf toe hindering him a bit as well... Kid has talent and is and will continue to be a good player... The Lions have a lot of skill position players.. I think they need to upgrade (free agency/draft) the O-line...... Was basically the first week he didn't score atleast 10 in PPR leagues this year....

Sick of all the being missused crap. 1st rd pick, supposed to be a feature rb in this league, he should be able to make more happen with all the touches he gets. He sucks right now.
