What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

So far the reviews of Super Special Sauce are putting it up there with the best of the best. I haven't opened mine yet, I want a clean palate.

ETA My BIL says it's better than Julius.

MIA brewing Mega Mix Pale Ale...seriously underrated beer.

Then sitting at the same bar and the bartender notices my Civil Society shirt and says "hey man, we just tapped their Fresh IPA". Well hot damn!

Also had a Victory Kirsch Cherry Gose. Delicious. Tart cherries with nice bready/cracker undertones.

 
So Super Special Sauce #1. Out####ingstanding. The best Mikerphone I've had. Most Mosaic has a funk, this is like an orange pineapple juice bomb. Simply outstanding.

 
Sitting down at a bar asked the local dude what they have on draft?

"Angor"

'Wat?!?' I simply had to reply, because I will finish any joke if it's left open to me, no matter how bad.  Cambodia need to appreciate me, I'm dropping gold.

 
18th Street is releasing a new Shadows beer today -- it's a DDH Mosaic NE-style DIPA. Unfortunately I'm going to Midway to fly to Nashville ATM, and there's zero chance it lasts through Saturday when I get back.  :kicksrock:

 
Depressing to see the craft beer endcap empty at one of my accounts today.  There was Yuengling crap all over it, coming in on April 3.  WHERE'S MY 18TH STREET and THREE FLOYDS?

Yeah, I was at Desire's which is right down the street from my office. Best part about the afternoon besides the good beer and anything goes lap dances was the fact i pushed back a call with my boss an hour because I was there. I proceeded to get on a call with him after 6 beers and unloaded on him about the fact that we were on the last day of Q1 and he was finally talking to me about my targets. I yelled at him for about 20 minutes.

Cool, yeah right now they have 3 really good hazy ipas they plan to rotate with one bring released every month. This is only maybe the 2nd release for Boxer so the whole process is very new. They are making really great beer imo.

 
Butt on the smoker -- is it too early to start drinking?

Grabbed a growler of Wow Bob Wow at Four Fathers -- 100% Brett fermented sour Flanders red aged on tart cherries and rose hips. Plus another bomber of Lupine, then Todd and ZD.

Wow Bob Wow = outstanding. Unsurprising, as FF's sours are pretty much always on point. Really tart without being a lacto-bomb, definitely getting the sour cherry, and TONS of Brett funk. Really well done IMO.

That Wow Bob Wow sounds amazing.

 
Grabbed my Waldo's, then ran to FFF for a case of ZD and bombers of their two new sour fruited saisons -- Molten Mirrors (peach) and Sicario Pina (pineapple / Brett). Will report back on the latter.
