What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

Route 2 Brewing Monkey Junk — meh, Taxman La Maison —   (if you are a fan of Belgian beer, definitely check out these guys from Indy) — and Glorious, which is, well, glorious, and has pretty much become my go to shelfie.

Also have a lone can of Pretty Pretty Awkward Peach Milkshake DIPA from Brew Link that I’ll crack later — love the option to buy one before dropping $17 on a 4 pack.

Nice day for a beer fest in Jupiter, FL, sunny and 75! Civil Societys B-day bash starts at noon. Gonna grab some grub, check into the hotel, and get after it.

Went to Crooked Thumb in Safety Harbor today and had the grapefruit gose and their tangelo wheat.  Both were pretty good.  I tasted the Pink.  It was weird IMO.

Triple Barrel Baptist. Baptist aged in whiskey and rum barrels with barrel aged coffee and coconut.

Out ####### standing.

Hey Pittsburgh beerguys...Ill be in town this coming weekend...Ill be hitting Brew Gentleman, Dancing Gnome, and possibly Voodoo on Saturday, but are there any good IPAs in distro that I can pick up either near the airport or on the way to Butler? TIA

Nice, bought a Black Note today, got CBS tix as well .
So I just realized CBS will be available to general public (assuming you are lucky enough to get a hold of a bottle and beat the truck chasers)?  Damn I have to find a way to get a bottle, this is one of my favorites.

I have tickets for the weekend of Dec 10th get some at Founders. I don't know how wide distro will be outside of that. Have you heard anything?

I just read on their site that they are distributing to all states that they sell their product, so it will be available.  Unfortunately, I will have to contend with MANY others to get a bottle.

That's cool though, I really have no idea how big the launch is. I wasn't sure if it was even leaving the brewery.

Snagged the last 6-pack of Born Yesterday at my local liquor store, really wish Lagunitas would make this all year

Agreed. Such a great beer.

I'm starting my weekend with some fresh Brew Hub Rome City IPA, Coppertail Sorcha O'Sullivan IPA, and 7venth Sun Headbanger IPA. Ain't nobody got time for grocery store beer!

Flying to Pittsburgh Friday, so I'll be checking into this thread from some PA breweries this weekend. Also going to the Steelers - Packers game Sunday night, I'm hoping I can get something decent at the game...ITS GONNA BE COLD AF!!! I'll be representing in my old school 49er leather jacket and Beanie...look for me on TV, lower level goal line, I'll be sticking out like a sore thumb in a sea of black and gold lol

Let me know if you have any Pittsburgh Brewery recommendations as I'm heading there next Tuesday. I remember being there a few years ago and going to a brewery that was in an old church but can't remember the name.

You should go to church for the environment at least.

No idea what's the distribution is right now, but full pint chinookie IPA is pretty good.

also looks like Southern tier has opened a taproom there.

Fat Head Headhunter IPA is in distro, that's all I need for Friday.

Saturday were hitting Brew Gentlemen in Braddock (consensus #1 brewery in the area), Dancing Gnome Brewery, and maybe Voodoo. Also might hit Independent Brewing Co in Squirrel Hill for some crowlers.

If you see Hop Juju from Fat Heads, buy it.

Brothers are in town, tonight is shaping up to be a serious ####show. 18th Street Rise of the Angels and Sex & Candy, multiple bombers of FFF Alpha Klaus, Moloko, and Wigsplitter, and now on to a ‘14 - ‘16 KBS vertical. If we’re still standing after that, maybe a vintage BCBS or a BA Bank or Wheelhouse.

I've had it, Fat Head uses to be in FL distro. I like Headhunter a little better...plus I need to keep the ABV down a bit, am meeting the gf's family for the first time this weekend and don't wanna get too buzzed. Lol

You taking them to Windmill? Their tap list looks great.

Also, big fan of Alpha Klaus. My staple while putting up the tree.

Started with some haze:

Mosaic Gummy ....too sweet

Slurm Lord.....looks and smells the part but just a little too much hop bite.

Son of Juice....just right. Wish it had Slurm Lord’s appearance and nose.

That is the top target if we get out that way — tougher to slip away since everyone has multiple young kids. Maybe tomorrow while the wives / kids are shopping.

Just poured a homebrew while wrapping up cooking. I was supposed to host today but that was changed when my daughter got sick yesterday. She's been talking about "the feast" for two weeks so a feast we will have.

Happy Thanksgiving!

And get those mules ready for tomorrow am.

A 2016 25 oz whiskey aged yeti. I'm probably the biggest yeti Homer here, but I have to say that the BA Sexual Chocolate is superior.

Stopped at my friends house for a couple hours between family parties. He was showing me the series of Bells Black Notes he had acquired ranging from 2014-2017. Ten minutes later, his brother who is drunk and almost only drinks Guinness or Amstel Light, started pounding a 2016 Black Note. He didn't know better and we didn't say anything but he had no idea what he was drinking. He chugged it and then fell asleep on the couch.

First, what a waste of an excellent beer. Second, he will be asking God if he gets him through this he will never drink again..

I went to binnys again this year for bcbs release. Store opened at nine, we got there before 6 and were 40th ish in line. Me and my friend took turns making run to jewel and we each had 2 of regular stout by 9.  My binnys only got 36 prop and 12 rare so we missed those. I got 1 coffee, 2 barleywine and 4 regular. Got back in line and got another 4 regular. So 13 bottles altogether. It was relatively warm and good peeps in line. I'd do again but I don't think Id go earlier. It ain't that good.

I did my annual refusal to stand in line for BCBS again this year. Ended up with 7 regular and a Northwoods after all of the dust settled. A few places near me still haven't received their allocation yet so there may still be some goodness out in the wild.

I'm pretty well stocked on midwestern stouts now. Over the next few weeks, I'll hit the liquor stores more often and try and find those late releases, but it's very hit or miss.
