It might be around but I wouldn't bet on it.

I have 3 regulars left and should be moving to Charlotte this summer so ...

I won't know anybody in the area so I am not against buying new friends....

Yup, I hardly even check these forums anymore, the upgrade is horrible.

Tampa Bay Beer week kicked off today, Im about to head out and check out Hidden Springs Ale Works, a new brewery in Tampa.

Raided my little beer fridge for some things that have been tucked away:

what do you think about the maine beer co beers HT? have you tried their mean old tom stout? I plan on bringing a good handful of the maine beer co beer back with me when I visit up there.
Love Maine Beer Co.  Mean Old Tom is good , I don't get any of the  vanilla in there . Very drinkable but nowhere near their best . Still it's good . Lunch & Peeper are my favorites, Zoe is also extremely good. Haven't had Dinner but its reputation is phenomenal.

Maine has a lot of very good breweries . If you come across Foundation Epiphany while you are Maine grab some

MO is a top notch APA, one of the best I've had. I'm a self-proclaimed APA aficionado. It's the style I use to judge all breweries, as it is impossible to hide brewing flaws in an APA. Therefore, although I've not had anything else from Maine, I can attest it is a great brewery based on MO.

thanks HT, I will keep an eye out for the foundation epiphany. in your opinion is mean old tom better than allagash black? I tried the black and it was not a very good stout to me.

I've had Allagash White, Golden Brett & Saison but haven't tried their Black.Surprised to her that ,Black seems well liked online

I had a couple Troegs Hopback Amber Ales last night.  A little more bitter than the Amber Ales I like best, but tasty nonetheless.

yeah, I was really let down. was looking forward to it but it was a very light colored bland tasting product. I may have got a bad 1, but wont get again.

Dinner is awesome, one of the better IPAs in the region.

And I agree about Epiphany, that stuff is goooood.

Has anyone ever heard of this beer I am going to post up? I have a feeling many of you have, it was new to me. Where I live in South Florida, not the best for craft beers, very reliant on outside vendors. Little pizza place down the block opened 6 months ago and they have a a handful of drafts but this is one of them...very good stuff.

I love Grapefruit Sculpin , haven't had the pineapple. Their distribution has really grown

:kicksrock:  I wish I could post pics

I'm going to pick up the Mango Session IPA soon (I collect beer cans in addition to enjoying the contents).

I haven't seen the other three yet:

Pineapple Sculpin is the new hot beer.

What is it with Ballast Point and the fruity beers lately?  I'm sure Pineapple Sculpin is good just like Grapefruit, but they have a whole line of them now, as posted above.

Sour FL is great for craft beer. Funky Buddha, J Wakefield, Wynwood, Civil Society to name a few. Plus Cigar City in distro...

Thanks wing.

Know you are a big IPA guy. Where do you rank that epiphany?

Had really hoped to get some Lawson's sip of sunshine and alchemist Heady Topper on my trip but not going to be in that part.

Will be going to Maine beer CO and foundation for sure though. Is this just a consolation prize or do these hang with Vermont?

Epiphany is on par with some of New England's best IPAs IMO...and MBC is no consolation prize, all of their stuff I've had is great and Ive heard the taproom is awesome. Haven't had any other Foundation besides Epiphany.

I've got no interest in these flavored beers, which seem to be all the rage now. They may be using mostly "natural" ingredients, but its still just adding flavor extract post-fermentation, which is essentially bottling a shandy.

If you are going to Foundation there are a few more breweries on the same street , Allagash , Bissell Brothers and another small one . All quality.

Mid you are passing through MA I can give you some quality beers to looks for.

Bissell Bros is very very good.

Agreed. Swish is one of the better IPAs I've tried recently. Substance is good too.

Thanks again guys. Good looking out. I will hit the whole block then.

As far as MA goes HT, not going to have time to hit any of their breweries as this is mainly a friend's and family visit in MA. My friend does live about 20 minutes from Julio's Liquors in Westborough. I am going to go there. Ever been?
