What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

2001 3F Gueuze? How was that?
It was excellent. It had more funk than the 2014,and it had an untetsting flavor underneath I couldnt place...it was almost smoky/peaty with a touch of sulphur, but very subtle and it worked. It was really interesting.Having a Cycle Home Alone 2 IPA now...if they keep this on rotation I'll be a happy camper. Hop juice city.

Prairie Standard -- think this might be my favorite easily accessible brewery right now. Just absolutely LOVE their stuff. Been drinking quite a bit more PAA than FFF lately; that's pretty astounding for me considering that FFF has been my go-to for a decade plus.

Had a bunch this weekend and I did wind up getting a can of Surly Wet. Oh man it was not good.

Ska Modus Mandarina and Hoperandi

Brickstone HopnSkip

Brickstong Pale Ale

PW Lizard King

Cahoots Rabanas, No S'mores, Raspberries Gone Wild

Polyanna Mazzie

Just got back from business in Cincinnati.....found some great local bars and beers

Mad Tree Galaxy High DIPA and Mad Treen Simtra DIPA were both outstanding.

Having an Invasion Pale Ale...thanks to the Shelton Bros fest this past weekend, Cycle is completely out of Crank, and Home Alone 2 may be gone forever :(

Pliny the Elder before Run the Jewels tonight. Also, a bourbon barrel-aged barleywine and double IPA from a brewery called Alpine Dog next to the Ogden Theatre. I've been there a few times now pre-concert, and I just can't shake the feeling that they are just generally mediocre. Decent, but nothing ever blows me away.

Holy Moly...at Cycle right now, and they've got a Barrel Aged Rye Stout, an 11% ABV beast aged in Four Roses bourbon barrels, on draft and Crowler...insane. I'm not a BA stout guy and this stiff is fantastic. They're filling/selling $30 32oz fills left and right.

Also just had an Orange Belt Electric Boots Berliner that's crazy good.

Cycle Unicycle Mosaic Pale Ale..love their IPAs but theie pale ales feel a bit thin to me. Tastes is decent, but not enough of a punch.

This sounds awesome. I just looked it up on BA and there is only one review and it's the same date as your post. By chance are you Beer4B?

Yesterday I went to the Madtree brewery and bought a few bottles of their PumpCan beer. This is from their Trunk Series and one is Bourbon Barrel-Aged and the other is a Rum Barrel-Aged. Looking forward to trying these out!

Just picked up a few (four) bottles of BOMB! to enjoy by the fire in the chilly weather this weekend. So much for spending less on beer, but the distro guy was unboxing it and putting it on the shelf as I was in there and I couldn't resist. Those guys in Oklahoma really know what they are doing.

I always have a hard time passing up BOMB! on the shelves when I see it.

I am not but he is a friend of mine, just ran into him at Cycle an hour ago. I actually added the beer to BA and left a number review (no text). Most of the check-ins on untappd rate it 4.5 or higher.

Earlier til now:

Cigar City Caffe American double stout. Tasty.

Cigar City Blueberry Muffin Brown Ale. I'll be damned if it doesn't taste just like a blueberry muffin.

Brew Hub Inside Joke IPA...they screwed this beer up. Nowhere near good as it was before.

TBBC Reef Donkey APA. Missing the dank ness I'm used to. I'm having Mosaic withdrawals.

I see Ballast Pt listed an ipo with a crazy valuation, something like a 13x multiple I think. This market is insane. At MKE Brewing this aft and into the evening. Lots of good beer.

Starting off with Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat while I watch the games, make a big batch of salsa, and marinate a flank steak for carne asada. Gonna move on to Hennepin and Tank 7 later this afternoon, then get the fire pit blazin' and drink a BOMB! or two. Should be a good day.

Whirlwind of a past few days, went to the hockey game on Wednesday and concerts on Thursday/Friday, gonna need to dry out a little tomorrow and next week.

Wed:

Pearl Street Scrum (dunkel)

Pearl Street Harvest Edge (fall IPA)

Labatt Blue Light x4

Thurs:

21st Amendment Back in Black

21st Amendment Brew Free or Die

Flying Bison Rusty Chain

Labatt Blue Light x2

Fri:

Community Beer Works Hoppy Porter w/Mosaic

Community Beer Works Frank (pale ale)

Big Ditch Excavator (brown ale)

PBR x4

Founders Imperial Stout

Today:

Hamburg Small Town Saison

I am drinking a Brooklyn Intensified Bourbon Barrell-Aged Coffee Porter.

It's good. Definitely tasting the bourbon, but not much coffee taste to this.

Finishing up my last bottle of CCB Lacto Guava Grove. Good, not great, prob my least favorite Lacto Grove beer so far...waiting for the Cranberry Grove release coming up soon.
