Man weekdays are so hard to get out during swim season. Are you out that way frequently?

No beer or red meat for 2 1/2 weeks. :kicksrock: But I have dropped 11 pounds -- so that's good. Going through bags of Costco jumbo shrimp like crazy in the CdL house these days, so not exactly feeling super deprived actually.

Heading to Orlando tomorrow for a work conference so I'm sure I'll be dipping a toe or ten into Florida's finest offerings by the pool at night -- any good bottle shop suggestions in the Celebration / Disney vicinity @Wingnut or anyone else?

House of Beer was awesome not sure how close it is for you though it's at 13526 Village Park Dr Ste 208 Orlando, FL 32837. No webpage but they have a FB page. They do fill crowlers as well.

Thanks -- I'll check it out! I'll be pretty crazy busy most of the week, so crowlers would be a great option. I'm typically not going to want to hang in a bar after a long 12+ hour work day of constant "A-game" with clients -- particularly when there is a pool / hot tub right at the house where I am staying.

Jai Alai and Hop Gun tonight. It's mid-60s here. 8 of us in a ridonkulous 20 room mansion in Reunion with a pool, hot tub, arcade with a pool table and air hockey, and theater with stadium seating. Owners of my company are pretty effing fantastic.

Pseudo Sue. The 12/20 cans were horse####. The 1/5 is much better.

Not sure if I want to go with Barrel Aged Vlad or Ivan the Terrible. Either way, barrel aged is happening.

The stuff is all over now. Waiting for some of the double  dry hopped Sue. That stuff looks fantastic.

Have you tried Lumberjack Breakfast yet, by chance?
Yeah it is...and I have not. Haven't run down there since around Christmas. I'd like to but just can't find a spare 2 hours.

Sorry GB, I hate Orlando and never go there other than for work. I have zero knowledge of bottle shops or breweries there. Ive only been to Hourglass brewery  in Longwood and it was meh. I hear Red Cypress in Winter Springs is good as well as Crooked Can...but I haven't been to or tried anything from either.

Look for Funky Buddha Maple Bacon Coffee Porter bombers while you're in FL. It usually only lasts a few hours in bottle shops but it's been shipping all over this week. About $15-$17 and worth every penny. Id check Whole Foods, Total Wine, and ABCs.

Cracked a 2016 Sunday Morning Stout. It wet bad, Tasted like salty sour cherries. Damn, it's such a nice beer when on point. Drank the #### out of Hopstache instead.

Just cracked a Mikes Hard lemonade to delay the inevitable hangover that I have coming due to severe mismanagement last night.

That horse#### is brewed in Lakeland. And I agree. Brew Hub is a joke.
I like it, pretty damn tasty and per my BIL this is from Iowa not FL.

ETA can says FL  tastes good to me.

It's good, yes, but it aint Pseudo Sue.
Agree to disagree I guess, IMO TG isn't going to ruin their rep by putting out inferior product in a new market  I've had both and this is a very good pale ale and tastes like I remember Sue tasting.

Do a side by side. Night and day in looks and taste. I wish I still had the pic.  remember the first 12oz bottles I sent you? Those were great...hazy, dank, juicy. Every batch since that batch has been a completely different beer.

Again, it's a good Pale Ale. My only problem is calling it Pseudo Sue because that's not whats inside the can. But it's still an enjoyable beer. Cheers GB!

I'm stopping into Civil Society within the hour for some Super Bowl beer...they were just named the 5th best new brewery in the world out of a field of 6500 by  Rate Beer...pretty cool. They're the king of hops in FL no doubt.

Loved everything I've had from Civil Society (think I've had more than Pulp). My local place is releasing their second NE style IPA on Thursday, their first go round was a really nice first attempt so I can't wait.

Hopslam

last night I had a real nice raspberry sour from a local place, nice to have breweries taking some chances around here finally.

Give them time -- they bought the neighboring suite to add on and working on doubling capacity. Their beer will sell itself so I'm sure they'll be in IL eventually.
I'm sure, starting to see 18th St at a few more places as well. Beer choices are getting to the point of being too many to try/drink.
