new glass is 24 each, refills are 21 I think...could be 24/27 but not 100%Hawks, how much are growlers of Jive and Hop Prism? I am sure I asked before but being lazy.
Thanks. I am going to pass at that price point. I only typically give in after having a few.new glass is 24 each, refills are 21 I think...could be 24/27 but not 100%
M43 intrigues me, but unfortunately I'm going to get back on the diet Monday (took a break for Vegas).Got a case of M43 and KBS. Anyone want to trade?
IMO M43 is the best NE IPA in the Midwest.
This going to be a "piss off the deck" type of weekend then?M43 intrigues me, but unfortunately I'm going to get back on the diet Monday (took a break for Vegas).
KBS is usually a fairly easy score for me, but if I get shut out I'd be interested in a few.
Last night was, or at least would have been if it weren't cold enough to freeze off my peener. Prolly more of the same tonight. This going to be a "piss off the deck" type of weekend then?
I like Sours.....What kind of sours are they making?Anyone here drink Speciation sours? I'm your guy.
YummmOrange Blossom Bee Hop is ridiculous -- better than Hopslam and Honey Badger, on par with (maybe even better than) the Pipeworks fish series and even Trillium's Cutting Tiles. Buy on sight, trade for it, etc -- just get it and drink it.
No idea if you're within striking distance of Granger GB, but if you are, Bare Hands is a must try.Yummm
Do they distribute anywhere near the IL border?Orange Blossom Bee Hop is ridiculous -- better than Hopslam and Honey Badger, on par with (maybe even better than) the Pipeworks fish series and even Trillium's Cutting Tiles. Buy on sight, trade for it, etc -- just get it and drink it.
Not really. I'm in Detroit. No idea if you're within striking distance of Granger GB, but if you are, Bare Hands is a must try.
Grabbed mine at Liquor Stop in Highland.Do they distribute anywhere near the IL border?
Pretty cold to be pissing off the deck no?Fuuuuuuuuuukkkk...
Yes, yes it is. Fire is blazing and passing out on the couch is in play though.Pretty cold to be pissing off the deck no?

How are you feeling this morning?! Sounded like you went at it hard last night.Yeah, that'll eff you up fast.![]()
Little rough when the dog needed to go out at 6:00 -- but nothing that a lot of strong coffee couldn't fix.How are you feeling this morning?! Sounded like you went at it hard last night.
Did you meet my brother at the Ocelot booth?Holy Hunahpus Day...poured at the fest and drank a bunch of beers, met Hawks' bro in law who stopped by my tent and said hello, drank more beers, and came home and napped for 2 hours. I didn't try as many as I did last year, I stayed away from heavy beers and stuck with mostly sours and IPAs...
Working fests is so much fun. Perfect weather, lots of hot wimmens, and it's always fun hanging with brewers and beer dorks.
I never made it over to their booth, I pretty much stayed in the general area of where I was pouring because we were right on the end of a tent and all the foot traffic had to walk right by us on their way to the other tents, so we stayed pretty busy non stop most of the afternoon...when I did get a break I was getting food or standing in line for the bathroom. There were a ton of beers I wanted to try but didnt get to this time, but it was still a blast and just a great event. CCB has the whole festival thing down pat now.Did you meet my brother at the Ocelot booth?
This weekend!FYI Mikerphone is close to setting an opening date, and he's going to distribute less at least for a good while so he makes sure his taproom has plenty.
Unfortunately I am pretty nailed down with volleyball games, a choir concert, and a family birthday party.
I'm pretty sure I'm free, we have dinner reservations on Sat but nothing on Sunday! So maybe go twice! This weekend!Unfortunately I am pretty nailed down with volleyball games, a choir concert, and a family birthday party.

Time to start planting seeds to get the wife thinking that she needs to go to Ikea...
You have access to the greatest sours in the world right now. Drink as much Cantillon as you can.In Paris for a week . Im really missing my American microbrews. Not a ton of beer choices at most restaurants. They're not bad per se but my palette is so skewed towards IPA and Sours the lagers and whatnot just taste off to me now
Not to mention general easy access to anything and everything else Belgian -- and for my money, Belgium still produces a ton of the absolute best beer in the world. True, not a lot of the Belgian stuff will be as hop-forward as much of what you get in the US, but you can find hugely complex and delicious ales all the same. Belgian abbey and Trappist beers are actually what started me down the craft / good beer path in the early / mid 90s, back when the only really great beer available in much of this country was found in the import aisle of the beer store. You have access to the greatest sours in the world right now. Let me guess -- Kronenbourg? :X Stick with wine if all you can get is crap like that. French beer, for the most part, blows based on my experience there. Belgian beer, on the other hand...In Paris for a week . Im really missing my American microbrews. Not a ton of beer choices at most restaurants. In addition to Cantillon, look for 3 Fonteinen if sours are in your wheelhouse.
Yep. That and 1664 and seems to be standard offeringsCoeur de Lion said:Let me guess -- Kronenbourg? :X Stick with wine if all you can get is crap like that. French beer, for the most part, blows based on my experience there. Belgian beer, on the other hand...
