What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (4 Viewers)

Hey beer nerds, indulge me. You've got 15 bucks to pick your desert island 6 pack. What are you taking?

Keep in mind that I'm in the Midwest:

Founder's Red's Rye PA

Great Lakes' Ed Fitz

Founder's Breakfast Stout

La Fin Du Monde

Bell's Hop Slam

Schneider Aventinus
That one there

'08 Speedway

Hummulus Gold

Firestone 14th anny

Firestone Velvet Merlin CASK

Firestone Parabola

Firestone Double Jack

Firestone rep comp'd us on my last three there.

Looking back, looks like I missed out telling you guys about Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Monday: Rare day at Ballast Point tasting room. '07 Sour Wench, Bourbon Barrel Aged Piper Down, Brandy aged something, bourbon aged something, some other things.....

Then at Toronado: Sculpin on NITRO, '09 Victory at Sea on NITRO, something really good, then two more '09 nitro vics. Those were amazing.

Tuesday: Lunch at Coronado Brewing Co. Bourbon Barrel Aged Brown, Hoppy Wheat, Barrel Aged Stout, Hoppy Wheat (best "wheat" I've ever had. really hoppy, really smooth).

:Sidebar: starting talking to the guys next to us. One was the head brewer at Anchor. I mentioned I always wanted to take the tour tour but could never get in and that I was going to San Fran next week; he put me on the list for Wed. (I also plan on going up to Russian River on the trip).\

After that went to the park to get warmed up for the next day, then went to Rare Sierra Night. Had 6 Sierra beers. Only heard of one of them before. Great stuff. Then I had some leftover Forestone from the night before: 14th anny, double jack, lost track....

Wed.....: OMG. Woke up at 7:30 to get to the beer week disc golf tourny. They fed us, we played for a couple hours, they fed us again, then we drank free Green Flash for 3 hours. The bar's goal was 7 casks in in 7 hours. I didn't make it that long. I did get to tap a cask myself though. Probably the highlight of my week. Had a Grand Mantis, Black Freak, Cask Pumpkin ( I do not like pumpkins, but this one was awesome), Cask Saison, Pallet Wrecker, who knows what else..... Then went to a Bruery tasting where I apparently had 9 different Bruery beers highlighted by Black Tuesday, but hardly remember beingthere at all.

Thursday: slept in, struggled through some work, took the Ballast point Home Brew class, an 07 Sour Wench, went to bed.

Today: See start of post....

How much did this all cost? I'm assuming you're drinking full pints and not just tasters, right?
The Seirras was a flight of 4oz-ers. The others were either full pints or half pints. The 14th anny last night was a bottle I split with two friends for $30. Pints and half pints have ranged from $3.50-$6And the Ballast Point tasting room stuff were tasters, as was the Bruery night I barely remember.

Still awesome, and a lot more cost effective...

Drove about 45 minutes into PA and picked up a non-NY distributed haul:

Founder's Breakfast Stout

Founder's Dirty Ba$tard

Bell's Two Hearted

Bell's Expedition Stout

Terrapin Moo-Hoo Chocolate Stout

Terrpain Big Hoppy Monster

Pretty excited. Very excited.

In preparation for a get-together we had last night and for Thanksgiving my fridge currently looks like this:

Smuttynose Star Island Single

Harpoon Hefeweizen UFO

Sam Adams Summer

Shipyard Pumpkinhead

Gearys Autumn Ale

Watchussett Blueberry

Shipyard Stout

Gearys Porter

Cisco Brewery Gray Lady Ale

Mayflower Thanksgiving Ale

Long Trail Double Bag

Peak Organic Nut Brown

Haverhill Brewery Home Run Pale Ail

Ithaca Flower Power

We tried to keep it local with local meaning within a couple hours drive from the Boston area. I bought the place out of the Mayflower Thanksgiving Ale (Plymouth MA.). Used to only be able to get in on draft at this time of year but this time they bottled it in very limited quantities. That beer is fantastic and is the has the nicest shade of auburn you've ever seen.

Thanksgiving Ale

:confused:let's trade?
You know it. PM me.
Why would you need to drive into PA? They don't have these beers near you?
Guess not. They don't distribute any of those 3 breweries here.

I don't think any of them distribute to NY, except maybe the city.

Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale.

I think I like the Oatmeal Stout better.

Nah.

Well, maybe. I don't know.

Enjoying what's in front of me.
