What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

And thanks for the response about the DFH 120, I forgot about that. Guess I won't rush over to Tucson to stock up based on the comments. I'll grab a few to age next time I'm in the area. Long Ball, I just meant in the southwest a 3.5 hour drive is like going to the next town over back east, not really considered a long trip out here.

Just poured a Wicked Weed Genesis.

Its a good sour but I'm not blown away...its getting better as it warms a bit though.

Saving the WW Oblivion for another night.

Eta: broke out some Bleu Cheese to try with the Genesis, and they go really well together. I'm liking this beer a lot more with the cheese.
Christo already guessed him so you get another guess.

In fact, so there is so little interest in this easy little 3 bottle BIF ( :kicksrock: ), if 24 hrs go by you can guess again.

I'm surprised nobody wants free beer. I'll have a Bells Mars: Bringer of War, Bells Oracle and Shorts Huma Lupa Licious ready to ship too.

Beer and Bleu Cheese? Don't 49er fans have enough with the whole "wine and cheese" stigma attached?

Do they? I've never heard that. I don't drink wine, but the Genesis was aged in white wine barrels and has some winey qualities to it. Lots of beers pair really well with cheese.

Dude, that goes all the way back to the Bill Walsh days. Mostly Raiderfan bagging on the "Wine and Cheese" crowd at the Stick. Of course, there was wine and cheese at tailgates and such. 49er fans used to have some class, which is all but gone now with Harbaugh and the York era (see: thugs at games).

Gonna have to try some of that beer and cheese thing, but I bet it gives me a ton of gas the next day :gettingoldsucks:.

Fresh Sculpin and Zombie Dust back to back.........Zombie Dust wins.

Sculpin is normally my fav, but ZD wins today.
I recently tried Sculpin...it didn't blow me away like I thought it would. I was really good but I was expecting more I think. Maybe the hype was just too much to overcome. Then again, I like my IPAs to be more resinious/dank with more tropical fruitiness.I've got some grapefruit Sculpin on the way, can't wait to try it.

Hmmm...let me think...Its been a while since I had one that really blew me away...I'd have to say my top 5 in no particular order might beAlesmith IPA (been years since I had it)

NoDa Hop Drop

Cycle Crank

Bells Two Hearted

7venth Sun Time Bomb (dry hopped w/Nelson & Citra)

Now that Im thinking about it, Im always hoping for DIPA qualities in new IPAs I try..so maybe I should temper my expectations a bit and enjoy IPAs for what they are instead of hoping for them to be more like DIPAs.

Had a ZD thanks to Ditka311, that was awesome. I think I still prefer Sculpin, but it is very close.
No worries, glad you enjoyed it. I wouldn't hold off much on the other one since they tail off quickly. The Permanent Funeral holds better.

I like ZD when it is super fresh but there are days when I go between "yeah, this is pretty good" to "damn, this is the best beer ever." Can't seem to make up my mind.

I plan on making a nice dent tomorrow as college football kicks off.
