What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (6 Viewers)

I was looking for a list of Simcoe based beers for a friend and ran into this list of hop bills for a lot of popular IPAs. Thought some of you guys would like it:

Port Hop 15, oh my.

Was at Port on Monday night. Tried all 11 IPAs they had on. Pretty much all good. Coup D'Etat was my favorite.

Was at Alpine on Sunday and tasted all the IPAs. I honestly liked Duet better than Nelson. I brought back a bottle of each, though, so I will do more tasting. We were unfortunately a little rushed.

Also, in Tucson, Dragoon Brewing IPA is really good. Complex, hop-forward, really a lot going on. Did not go to brewery, but had it on tap at a bar.

Birdsong Brewing's Jalapeño Pale Ale, poured from a growler. Yeah, I know, I was in NC with access to lots of great beers, and I opted to bring a growler of THIS home? WTF right?

Not a highly rated beer but I think its interesting and unique...it has a subtle jalapeño taste, but without the heat you'd expect. Weird, different and strangely refreshing.

Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat. Really liked this one on tap. Not overly wheaty and the tangerine is noticeable, but not over the top. Perfect Florida beer.

Went with a Maine Beer Co Peeper Ale (APA).

Bottled almost 2 months ago so I'm sure its lost a bit of its bite, but its still pretty good.
We used to get very fresh Maine stuff when they first got here, but now it's tough to find anything fresher than like a month and a half. I've seen this with a few other breweries, Founders did it too. They start sending the fresh stuff off the bat to get you sucked in, and then slowly retract the really fresh stuff once they've established themselves in the market. I've found 6 month old Founders Centennial on the shelf more than once.

I don't know if it's a conscious thing or not.

Currently drinking a 32 oz growler of Community Beer Works Singularity IPA: Falconer's Flight 7Cs.

Singularity is their one-off series where they brew their always-fantastic IPA with a different single-hop. I had never heard of Falconer's Flight 7Cs, so I looked it up....it's a blend of Citra, Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Cluster, and Crystal plus some other experimental hops. So it's not really a single-hop at all.

Oh, and it was tapped on Thursday....so it's a 2-day old beer. :coffee:

I have that Pure Hoppiness in the fridge for later.

finishing my last Little Sumpin' extra, only 2 harvest ales, 2 zombie dusts, 1 unicorn hits rock bottom and 1 mosaic ninja. Beer run coming I think.

Went fishing all day, caught some nice Redfish including my personal best 33 inches...beautiful weather, 77 degrees most of the day, no clouds, nice breeze...just got home and am having a Hop Drop.

Here I am with my first keeper of the day, a 26+ incher...if you look close you can see a leader hanging out of his mouth...the ******* broke me off 15 minutes prior and got greedy and came back for more. He's now 2 fillets in my fridge...that'll learn him. Lol

Gonna fry him up with some home made fries and wash him down with a home brew.

You are much skinnier than I anticipated for the amount of beer you drink. Nice red too btw.

Caldera IPA. Its OK.

Lol Quez...I'm lucky, I've always been svelte...6'2, 190lbs at the present. Was 212 at my heaviest. I do get a bit of a beer gut from time to time but I eat relatively healthy and am pretty active, so its not hard to lose when I feel I need to.

Another Hop Drop. Man I love this beer.

From the can:

We use Citra, Amarillo, Centennial, Warrior, and Chinook hops in 10 seperate additions to provide the intense hop blast found within this can.

Wow, I didn't realize they used 5 hops.

New Glarus R&D Sour Fruit

Blackberry sour....brewed November 2010, bottled and sold August 2013.

Oh my god this is a great beer.

I held this for 14 months....might have held it longer and saved it for a special occasion if I knew how good it would be. No brewery does fruity beers like NG does.

NG is the king of fruit beers.

My friend in San Diego is taking his sweet time in finding beers/sending me a package...I may have to wait til I go to So Cal next spring to try the CA beers on my list.

Having Brew Bus Last Stop at the moment. May go with a Gose next, its 65 degrees out right now and a sour sounds so good.

If I run across another shipper I'll let you know and ship you stuff for cost. I'm done bubble wrapping.

I got it at (kinda) the brewery in Wisconsin last year the Friday before Great Taste of the Midwest. It was a limited release, 2 per person, at like 10 AM. We got to the brewery around noon and missed it by like 5 minutes.

Thankfully my hotel roommate for the weekend, sometimes-FBG and occasional poster in this thread, Tangfoot, was nice enough to give me his second bottle.

So if someone was to send you an empty shipper ....just kidding. Thanks again man.

Note to self: Send Sebowski a shipper, STAT!

Nelson. Smells awesome.

Eta: damn....this is the ####.
GOAT
What means this
You serious, Clark?
Never used it before. But Google helped. My bad. And uline should have shippers. If not I can send you one for some Crank.
Anytime you want more let me know...shippers not necessary since I can get it in Crowlers. They ship much easier than bottles.

Nelson was the first beer I drank right out of the box. Love that beer.
I admit I was skeptical when Ilov80s said it tasted like chardonnay. It has some of that but this is awesome.
Ummmmm...this is not what I want to hear.Although I've had a couple Wicked Weed sours that I thought had some chardonnay notes and they were still amazing.

I retract the first sentence of this post.
It's not sour at all. You will like.

Now do I go Pure Hop next.....
