What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (4 Viewers)

Grapefruit Sculpin
Can you still find this? It sounds great as I like regular Sculpin.
It is a regular release now. They just built a brand new huge facility that is basically just a sculpin factory. And grapefruit is way better than regular. It is awesome.

Ballast Point now has 4 breweries in San Diego.
Is it available everywhere regular Sculpin is?
Here in town it is. I imagine when they get the new place at full speed it will hit the out of state markets in a flurry. New place hasn't been open a month yet.

All the sculpin talk led me to go get a bottle while out. Almost went with Sierra Nevada torpedo instead though. $8.99 vs $2.99.

Pete Metzelaars
This was the backup option...he was the guest that day but I didn't get his autograph.

I'll give it 24 more hours....1 more guess from whoever wants in. If no one else gets it, Christo gets the beer. I can probably scrounge up some Steel Reserves and Tecate tallboys for you.

Maine Red Wheelbarrow

I almost got sculpin too but didn't.
I was disappointed in Red Wheelbarrow
Really? I like it a lot. As a matter of fact I am bummed I don't have a second.
Hmmm..that beer is retired...I wonder how similar it is to Zoe, which I have a bottle of an will probably be drinking tomorrow.
They still list it on their website.

Other option was Peeper.

Anyway....Surly Overrated

I hadn't heard of Wheelbarrow so I checked it out on BA and it says no longer brewed. Weird. No beer for me tonight, I gotta head to work in a bit.

I've had and loved Lunch, Mo, Peeper & Mean Old Tom but wasn't crazy about RW.
Only other Maine that I've seen were Peeper and Another One. I liked Another One a lot and will try Peeper next. But will also get more RW.

I will have a couple Oracle's on your behalf at midnight...

Guess its time to drink some Freak of Nature DIPA.

I only had a flight sample of this when I was at Wicked Weed last weekend...I forgot how good it was. For a DIPA its not overly sweet, has great hoppiness, and is really smooth. At 8% ABV its not a huge DIPA, but man...I'll probably crush most of this growler tonight. Excellent beer and not a hint of the 8% alcohol.Eta: I swear I actually detect weed in the aroma...this must have some Mosaic hops with the dankness I'm detecting.

For beer day I'm trying to decide on what to drink next (I have never tried any of these):

Lagunitas Sucks (8%)

Maine Beer Co Zoe Amber (7.2%)

Coast Brewing HopArt IPA (7.7%)

Thoughts?

Killed the 64oz growler of Freak, a 32oz Sucks, a Hop Drop, a Maine MO, a NoDa Jam Session, and finishing the night with a Westbrook Gose. Thank God I can sleep in til noon tomorrow.

The secret is to drink lower ABV beers as you go. Its a solid and proven technique, and the way I'll be doing it from now on.

Gotta go to Alabama Wed night til Thu afternoon for work, there's a Piggly Wiggly that supposedly carries Westbrook Gose...hoping to pick up at least 2 sixers while I'm there.
