At Proof in Tallahassee...did a quick flight of Grapefruit Guru IPA, In Session Pale Ale, Mango Wit, and Kissing Giants Gose.

All pretty good, the Gose is outstanding, as is the Grapefruit IPA. The Mango Wit was good, and the Pale Ale was my least favorite (not enough Citra).

Cool place though, in Railroad Square, but getting here was a nightmare with traffic. Damn Seminoles everywhere.
Lol. Easy on us Seminoles! When I was there the only good place for craft beer was Leon Pub. Of course back then I mostly stuck to PBR though.
Lol not knocking Seminoles...its just there are college kids everywhere around the square. In hindsight it was probably a good move wearing my maroon Cigar City shirt instead of my almost Gator-blue Rapp shirt in Tally.

:football:
I transferred there after two years at App State, so it took me a bit to catch the bug. Plus, I like to stir the pot, so, I wore a thrift store Gator shirt to class every once on a while. Really pissed off the 2 dudes in my Spanish class one semester.

I'd love to hear a report on Leon Pub if you pass back through though.
What years were you at App State? Are you the guy who threw snowballs at my friends and I when we came up for the Davidson game that one time?

Heady was great. I'm not sure it blows away all other DIPAs, but it's elite. Reminded me of Mars. The Big Gruesome is one of the best smelling beers I have ever had. Holy tag-a-long cookie!
How did you get the Spring House? I like that brewery a lot. If you can get Satan's Bake Sale, I definitely recommend it. Chocolate Mint Stout. And I usually hate beers like that. Big Gruesome too.

did they move to a new facility and/or expand the existing one? When I was there 2-3 years ago, there were maybe 8-10 taps in the taproom.

Same facility but they have around 20 taps..I'm thinking they might set up tap tables or something like they do at fests but on a bigger scale.

My friend got it in a trade. I would definitely want more from them, BG was delicious.

hmm, coulda been. I think that it was either in 97 or 98. App State's b-ball heyday.

Troeg's Mad Elf is hitting the shelves in Central PA. Never had one before, so I picled it up as part of a 6-pack sampler.

An ale made with cherries and honey, it's delicious. At 11% alcohol, it's dangerous.

rogue voodoo chocolate raspberry pretzel, puke

ballast point sea monster, ok, victory is way better

ska brewing mole stout, pleasant surprise, xocoveza's younger brother

I had a few Firestone Walker Velvet Merlins last night, pretty smooth oatmeal stout.

Going to try to stay away from IPAs for a few months, going get my fill of stouts and porters for the remainder of the year.

Just poured a number of Three Palms' Skipping a Jiffy Peanut Butter Stout.

A little boozy for an 8.7% beer..the peanut butter is pretty subtle, but its not bad.

Good beer for the chilly weather today.

Just did a beer run

PW Citra (place had over 2 cases of it out - never seen that before)

PW Attack of the Devil's Lettuce

PW Fully Hoperational Battlestation

PW Game of Jones

Lagunitas Little Sumpin' Wild

Founders Harvest

Saugatuck Neapolitan Stout

Tried to find some Grapefruit Sculpin...no luck. Is FFF Yum-Yum worth it? Saw some Rev Fistmas...is that a good Christmas Ale? I really like Great Lakes, but haven't found another I like nearly as well.

I like 4Elf by Darkhorse as well, but GL is better.

Cigar City Zhukov.

I guess imperial stouts just aren't my thing. Not really a fan. I won't be seeking any from now on except to trade.
