What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

My very first Founders KBS. Thanks to my bro out East for sending my three boxes of beer.

I think I am in love.
Here my East Coast Beer Hual
Those are some very excellent choices. I am not sure what sad part of the world you are from that does not sell them at the corner store, but you are in for some rare treats there.
Nothing sad about it. I live in the best beer city in the world, San Diego. San Diego breweries just took 21 medals at the World Beer Cup. Home to Stone, Lost Abbey, Port, Ballast Point, Ale Smith, Green Flash, Alpine, and Karl Strauss. I also have easy access to Russian River and other great Nor Cal and Oregon breweries. Thanks for the link Pete.

Saving myself for Saturday ,which is Dark Lord Day, last year I went and had so much different stuff it was amazing. Looking forward ot Saturday's excursion as well.

Sayings on the bottle caps:

"Try to be Wry"

"try to impress...And you make a Mess"

"It's always best to Confess to your Mess"

Seems to be a theme forming here.

"Share a popcorn Ball with the Apostle Paul"

Dales' Pale Ale. I usually get it for golfing because it's in a can. You don't find too many pale ales in a can. It's pretty good.

I'll leave the door open for ya! Don't worry about the locals, Jutz. They don't like that us Yankees are invading the area.:movedfromjerseytoGreer, SCtwoyearsago:

Girlfriend bought me some Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier to drink while watching the Suns game, didn't like it at first but it has grown on me!

Coors Light baby!!! But I am almost out.

A guy at party we had left some Left Hand Brewery Milk Stout. I think I will probably go through the spice cabinet and drink vanilla extract and liquid smoke before I do this.

Milk Stout WTF!?!

Coors Light WTF!?!The Left Hand is way better than Coors anything....Milk stout (also called sweet stout or cream stout) is a stout containing lactose, a sugar derived from milk. Because lactose is unfermentable by beer yeast, it adds sweetness, body, and calories to the finished beer.

I enjoyed the Left Hand Milk Stout...

Dogfish Head World Wide Stout....on a work night

pray for me
I didn't love that beer. Much more of a Barley Wine thatn a stout, imo. The Avery Mephistopheles Stout is much better at a similar alcohol %.
Never had the Mephistopheles....I can never bring myself to spend $11-12 on a 12 oz beer....the only reason I have this one tonight is because it came in a trade awhile back....normally sells for like $9-10 here...ETA - I compared it to a red wine earlier. Really dry finish. Not a bad beer, but kinda seems like a gimmick beer with the high ABV and not really a "stout", as I'm used to.

I have an extra 22 of UberSun if anyone is interested in setting up a trade. I don't have access to Bell's, Russian River, Three Floyds, and plenty of others that I'd like to try.

Went through two Great Lakes samplers this weekend, fell madly in love with the Dortmunder Gold but the rest where equally well received. It helped that a bar I went to was slinging 22oz's on tap and I loaded up. The Elliot Ness lager, Burning River IPA and Edmund Fitzgerald Porter where all excellent.

Finished it up with a pint of Troegenator Double Bock and a couple Nugget Nectars.

Pizza Port just opened a couple blocks away from me. Sunday night I had these drafts:

Port OB Newbreak Pale Ale. Very solid pale ale. Glad it is being brewed just blocks away. B

New Belgian Eric's Sour Ale. I've been drinking a lot of sours lately. I wasn't overly impressed with this one. It was good enough, but I won't seek it out. B

Decshuttes Jubel 2010. Bought a bottle of this awhile ago and then decided to just age it. Now I wish I would have bought a couple more. A lot going on flavor wise and it tastes like it will develop very well. A

Lost Abbey Angel Share. I've had this beer a few times before. Great beer. This is the best smelling beer I've ever smelt. I'd buy it just to let it sit around and smell it throughout the night. Tastes great too. B+ (the Brandy aged is an easy A)

...and the took a growler home of Port Solona Beach 4th Anniversary. They called it an American Strong, but it tasted like a killer DIPA to me. A

Also, the other day I had the Dogfish Head/Victory/Stone Sasion De Buff. Saison brewed with, wait for it.... Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme. A lot of Rosemary on the nose. Just a great blend of spices on the tongue. Not the least of which is HOPS. I read Saison, parsley, rosemary, blahblahblah... But the hops really do this beer good. You don't get to them right away. Too much of the other spices (good thing, not bad thing). The finish is all hops though(another good thing). It was so good I wanted to chew it. I heard you are suppose to age it 6 months. I'm picking up a case.A+

Had some Unibroue Don De Dicu and Maudite last night. Took a flyer on it at Trader Joes. Holy Christ the Don De Dicu was amazing
