What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (1 Viewer)

FBG Beer-it-Forward:

I keep forgetting that I have the 3-bottle shipper. Trivia question for the next leg of the beer journey.....

In fall 1992, when I was 5 years old, my dad took me to a taping of the Steve Christie Show, a low-budget public access TV (or it might have been a radio show) show about the Buffalo Bills, hosted by then Bills kicker Steve Christie. I brought a mini football with me, and had it autographed by the show's special guest for that evening, a Bills player at the time.

Question: what Bills player signed the football? (Backup if no one guesses that one - there was one additional special guest that night - I did not get his autograph - another Bills player - who was it?)

Hint: it's a player that most all NFL fans will have heard of, not some random obscure backup linebacker or something.

My guess is Steve Tasker.Eta: it can't be that easy, can it?

Not Smerlas or Tasker.

I thought about giving the caveat that it wasn't Steve Tasker.

Nice guesses though. I think Smerlas was gone by 1992.

Probably not the best idea but Permanent Funeral
:lmao: you're so gonna regret it in the morning.
I do. I very much do.
 I went the opposite direction last night and finished with lower ABV beers than I started with. So glad I didn't give in and have some Freak Of Nature DIPA, I was seriously considering it.

I will take "ideas that sound better when half in the bag" for 200, Alex.

Wingnut, what did you think of that jade hopped beer?
I liked it. Drank my 2/3 growler the other night. Very bitter/hoppy and crisp, and not a lot of malt, which is what I prefer in IPAs. That particular beer is dry hopped with Chinook and Citra, which gave it a great aroma.http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/11036/65993/

When I make my Citra IPA again later this week, I'm adding some corn sugar at the end of the boil to try to get some of that dry crispness. Also 86ing the golden LME and going with extra light DME to let the hops shine more.
