What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (3 Viewers)

I've come to the conclusion that Racer 5 one of my favorite iPA's. Its so damn good.
I agree, wish it was distributed here.
Tell you what. You send me that last Masala, and Ill send you another Racer 5. Bomber for a 12ozer. How can you refuse?!?!?
Who said it was a 12ozer?
  So.....deal?
You only want 22oz?
Ill also have a Red Rocket Ale I could throw in......:scramblestoseewhatelseIhavelyingaround:
Whatever you want to do. I appreciate you starting the BIF, so I will send you the 22ozer I bottled, or I can pick up a growler in the next few days if you like. I am just that kind of guy.
 Growler it forward, brah!!!!

Ill send you a Racer 5 and Red Rocket Ale...and maybe I have a DFH or 2 still lyring around...
Done.
 :bow:I am your humble servant.

Wait....ok, I had to see if I was in the BIF thread or the regular beer thread...I get confused sometimes...

Getting ready to crack THIS, thanks to Skylord.

Personally, I think its the bitterest beer I've had. Interested to hear what you have to say.

5 minutes till top off. (letting it warm up for a few)

Ok, HERE IT IS, in all its hoppy glory in my Weihenstephaner hefe glass (along with my cat, Sensi)

Smell is right on with west coast DIPAs.

Taste: I like it. Alot. I dont think the bitterness is over the top. Bitter Woman IPA had more bitterness. I think its got nice balance, and its also got that signature west coast flavah.

 Great beer!

I look forward to finding this beer next time I am stateside.Dogfish Head 60 starting appearing here in Toronto as a limited "seasonal" offering in the past week. It's the first American IPA to be available here as far as I know.

DFH 60 is quite a hot new item here. It was storied today in Toronto's largest newspaper and reportedly is selling very briskly. I fear I'll never see it again once it's gone.

I bought a few from a local store yesterday, and had a couple last night. By the time I was half finished the 2nd I had a new favourite beer. This is an AWESOME all-around beer! I bought a case today and I'll likely buy more before they're gone.

Curiously, what does a DFH 60 (or case of) cost stateside?

We are paying $2.00 each Canadian, which converts to about $1.75 American.

Actually, now that I think about it, its ALOT like 90 minute. The aroma is more west coast, but the taste is close to the DFH DIPA.

That stuff is good huh? Saw it at Blue Max when I went BIF shopping. Guess I better go get a bottle.

I swear, one of these days we have GOT to have a FBG beer snob connoisseur cornhole. Id love to hang out with a bunch of you guys and get silly drunk on some of the awesome beers we're all exchanging. I know itll never happen, but ya never know. If I ever get an inheritance of a decent amount of money (or lottery jackpot), plane tix are on me to meet somewhere for a few days.

Imagine the pics and stories......

JP's Brewmaster Ron is a madman. Met him at the FBG (Florida Brewers Guild) beerfest last month in Tampa. Really cool guy. Seemed like the kind of guy that you could drink a few beers with, do a few bonghits with, and talk beer all night long with. Hes oldschool.

I'm down. We should agree on an event posted on BA and meet up there. I can get away for a long weekend unless #### is hitting the fan.

How friggin cool would that be?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!Leave the S.O.'s at home and go nuts for a few days...we could all bring some brews and just drink like fish until we forget who we are and how to get home.Over/under on missing flights home would be thru the roof!

That would be my only problem. The misses would want to come (pro and con is that she likes beer too). She'd understand but guilt trip the hell out of me. Name the date, I'll show up....assuming it's not conflicting with one of the five weddings I need to go to this year.

Actually, my SO would be down as well, and I wouldnt mind bringing her along. We would make a week of it and as long as I could have a few days with the guys, all would be good. This has to happen at some point. Seriously.

I hear ya. The beer brotherhood at FBG rivals even that at BA.
These strong beers are causing English Down Syndrome.
Well, I think my recent law school graduate wife would hate it, but I might be able to make it fly. I still think it would be fun to do in Vegas though. Also leaves a place to stash the wife/SO.

A recap of urbanhack and I's beer drinking tonight:

Started off with a couple of locally brewed pilsners.

Then we had sushi for dinner, and he had a Kirin (I think) and I had a Morimoto Black Obi Soba Ale (which I thought was good, but not as distinctive as I thought it would be).

Followed up at a bar with Hack having a Ayinger Bräu Weisse, a Unibroe Maudite, and an Avery White Rascal. I had a Foothills Seeing Double IPA ( a local beer), and a couple of Maudites.

Good times were had by all.

I think we should all be required to bring 10-12 beers (carry on) with us, and we hang out in someones hotel room for at least one night and get completely Zeppelin'ed and throw TVs out the windows, ride harleys down the hallways, etc.....

My research tells me that Vegas isn't the best place for beer. The best place for a beer cornhole would be the Great American Beer Festival in Denver in September. Colorado is a great beer state, and I have heard the festival is outstanding.

Quite tame by cornhole standards, but if yall are good friends and hang out often, no need to go all Homer J/Sacamano I guess.
