What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

I havn't read all 63 pages of this thread and  I'd like to try some of the beers that have been mentioned in here.  Is there anyplace online that I can order these?

TIA

hey, wait a sec.

i thought Archer didn't ship or something? or was it that the shipping was prohibitively expensive?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
They ship. Thats where I got my first bottles of Dreadnaught. And theyre no more expensive than anywhere else. The owner, Randy is a pretty cool guy.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
My order from Randy is scheduled to be here today. Just waiting for the email...There is a LOT of good beer in that shipment, including the elusive Dreadnaught :excited:
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
:hot: I was getting all happy in my pants about being able to order some Dreadnaught and Bells and Founders. VA is not on the list of states they ship to. :wall: :(

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Three Floyds is available at Rick's Wine and Gourmet in Alexandria, just past the Masonic Temple on Duke Street. You anywhere near there?

Richmond. I can get some things from Three Floyds, but I've never seen Dreadnaught.

huhmy memory is bad.. but i remember there being something off-putting about that site. something that made me choose Sam's Wine & Spirits in Chicago instead.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Whoa!...that's pretty ####### wierd...I was just coming in here to ask for recommendations of what I should pick up from Sam's wine. I'm headed there tonight after work.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
They have Dreadnaught. My MIL was there last night getting some for me.

Tip Top, I just got the Growler of Masala Mama delivered to my door.

BIG thanks!! Im sending 3 packages out this weekend, yours being one of them (Fro and Skylord's too)

Ill pm tracking numbers to you guys when they hit the road.

Few nights ago had another 22 of my buddie's homebrew (red ale) - yum.

Couple nights ago had a 22 of Moylander - HOLY #### - YUM!!!!!!!

Last night had a Full Sail IPA - :yucky:

Today (amid quite a few cocktails), found Sierra Brown on tap - Yum!!

Couple nights ago had a 22 of Moylander - HOLY #### -  YUM!!!!!!!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Agree. I love that stuff. In fact, I may pick up a bomber on the way home.PS, for the BIF guys, I may or may not have included a bomber of this in the box. We'll know Monday.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I like their normal IPA too. Its not standard, nice originality to it from the hops they use. Most IPA's don't stand out from the crowd...this one does. Hey TipTop, status says "delivered". You can choose from either the IPA or the Moylander tonight if you get them in the fridge early enough...

Was down in Sactown earlier this week on a last minute trip and happened upon a Bevmo on Arden Way. Was finally able to get my hands on some Stone RIS as their distribution list didn't have anywhere north of Chico getting any of it. They certainly had a larger selection than the Liquor Barn that we have up here has. Will have to return to Sac again in about 6 weeks and should arrange a beer sampling cornhole (on a small scale as I have some family stuff to take care of). Would have contacted you this time as I was there for a couple of days, but didn't have time to PM you beforehand.

Newbie here......

I bought 3 six packs a couple of hours ago. I bought:

Miller Lite - Something cheap, I won't get #####ed at because no one else likes it. Everyone will drink it.

Samual Adams Cream Stout - Had one, kinda nasty. I don't know if I was drinking a beer or a nasty milk shake. I might have to pound the other 5 just to make them go away.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale - I'm on my 2nd one of these. Not bad, not bad at all. It's got some kick to it....I think it's 5.3% alcohol. Nice beer.

My liquor store didn't have much of a selection.

That store on Arden is my regular stop. Even if it is way the hell out in BF suburbia. There are a couple of other stores that are close that can expand your selection a little bit more. Definitely let me know the next time you're coming through.

Southampton IPA was first. I avoided that one for quite a while. Don't know why. I shouldn't have. It's pretty tasty.

Now I'm on to a Dogfish Head Immort Ale. Interesting. Sweet. Don't think I could do more than 1 at a time.

About the crack my first Two Hearted Ale thanks to Furley

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Did you get my package too? Not as much namepower, I know.I received yours....my first beer trade! Unfortunately, I didn't have time to put them in the fridge before heading out to eat. But, that has been rectified now, and I'm sure the Arrogant ******* won't last more than 24 hours. Thanks for the cd's, btw. That was a nice surprise. Some good choices on there.

Props to Skylord for helping out this beer trading n00b.

Oh......drinking an Aprihop now. Since I only have a limited amount of DFH beers in my possession, I try to space them out so I'm always reminded of just how good they are every time I have one. Had a 90 minute last night and fell in love again.

No, didn't get it. That darn train made me miss my beer delivery. :hot: Something to look forward to on Monday. Your beer gets great ratings online...it may not be brand name but I bet its DAMN good!I did however get my delivery from Archers Liquors. And in it is two of the most elusive beers in my beer drinking career...

Three Floyds Dreadnaught

Three Floyds Big Behemoth Barleywine

:suds:

This two hearted ale is really good. It takes the whole grapefruit thing to a new level, so much so that I would almost say the beer is sour. Not deeply complex but really nice and flavorful. Perfect head, 1/4 inch of foam all the way down to the last sip.

I was gonna drink a few brews, but after eating a steak the size of a toilet seat, Im stuffed to the rafters...No room for beer, at least for an hour or so.

Had a huge ### margarita with dinner

Skylord, howd ya like the Two Hearted?? Its a great IPA, IMO

** disregard if you posted about it already while I was typing

I see that now at UPS.com. F'n trains. What is this - 1906? Sounds like you got your hands full this weekend already. I was excited to read about Archers and then disappointed to find out they won't/can't ship to GA.

Came home to it today. Actually don't have room for it in the fridge right now, but will soon. I made a run into WI today to pick up the rest of the beer for your package. I will be shipping it out tomorrow, along with Fro's.

:pickle: Trading beer on the inner-net is great.

You guys really need to detail what you're trading. I'd like to know who is getting what for what. That way I have a better idea of what I can send for future beer trades.

Actually, Skylord was very innovative in his "trade". He just sent me a PM saying he sent me a package knowing full well that I would return the favor with some interesting stuff from the midwest. He only really knows what one bottle I am sending is at the current moment.

:D TipTop knows what I like. He knows what I've had. I'm less concerned with knowing what the exact beer I'm receiving is. The element of suprise is actually pretty cool. Last trade with Furley I didn't know exactly what I was receiving either.

Sweet. I know that it isn't a really well know beer, but even for me, it isn't easy to get. I hope it lives up to the reviews.

This thread always makes me smile.

I'm sipping on a Weyerbacher Hops Infusion IPA, which is a brewery out of Easton, PA. Very bold hoppy taste, with what I am guessing is plenty of Cascade and/or Centennial hops. It definitely leaves that lovely hop aftertaste on the finish. After reading the reviews on Beer Advocate, this is apparently a reformulated beer that is better now than it used to be. I also sampled Otter Creek's 15th Anniversary IPA which had more of a grassy/piney hop taste to it.

 Didn't read it. I'm always up for more New Glarus. And the Immort Ale I've been waiting and awfully long time to try.

Speaking of New Glarus, I'm having a beer the Furley sent me in our last trade....the Unplugged Cherry Stout. WOW! If you don't like fruit beers, stay away. But if you do...

This beer is wild. So much cherry flavor! Wife keeps stealing sips and its pissing me off :hot: ....apparently she's a fan too.

I made the mistake of sharing my love for beer with my wife. Now I'm married to a hophead. I'm just thankful that she doesn't like Belgians, or I would have to share just about everything.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The wife is beginning to develop a taste for stouts, much to my dismay. She already loves Belgian beers and has always loved lambics, etc.

Yes. It would be very disturbing to come home and find your wife in bed with Pierre Celis.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Especially at his age!

Real Ale, a rapidly growing company opening a big, new brewery in Blanco in early May, has lured Pierre Celis back from Belgium to oversee brewing ales that established Celis Brewing Co. in Austin nearly 15 years ago. Under Celis' supervision, Real Ale expects to deliver six-packs of what it will call Brussels White and Brussels Grand Cru to Austin beer outlets by the middle of this summer, Real Ale owner and brewer Brad Farbstein says. Brussels White will be the base for three ales made with the juices of Fredericksburg peaches, Wisconsin cherries and European raspberries, he says.
Although, I think I may be Honda'ing myself.

The answer to the original question is Shiner Kolsch. I've got to quit buying this crap just because it's local.

Thats ok. You are closest to this news. We are all interested in when this will actually get off the ground. The raspberry was great, I really liked it. Now a Belgian white with peaches? I'll remain open minded.
