You had such promise too.
We've all been there. These are tough times but you'll get thru it.And if there is one day out of the year that you get a free pass for drinking Corona, todays the day. Tomorrow you should pour the beer out and use the bottles for those salt and pepper shakers.I got home from work late, threw a pair of jeans on, left to a friend's cinco de mayo party. Drank the corona, coors light was all that was left. I feel dirty. Hold me.Edit: I realize that corona sucks ### too

Actually if that were to happen, I would patiently wait until they were done so I could talk shop with Pierre.Yes. It would be very disturbing to come home and find your wife in bed with Pierre Celis.

I am sending Fro today:1 growler Masala MamaYou guys really need to detail what you're trading. I'd like to know who is getting what for what. That way I have a better idea of what I can send for future beer trades.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Jolly Pumpkins have landed...now to decide what gets sent and what stays here with me...decisions, decisions....package will be en route Monday. (Tip top and Fro, yours will be sent Monday as well....I gto ALOT of packing to to tomorrow)Awesome. They've got to be one of the most under rated breweries out there. Very much looking forward to trying the rest of their beers, especially this one.A rich brown ale inspired by the enigmatic monastic brews of Belgium, and the mysterious mist shrouded jungles of the tropics. Brewed with real cacao, and spiced with cinnamon and sweet orange peel for a sensual delight. A brew to be sipped, savored, and enjoyed!Skylord, package arrived safe and sound![]()
The Jolly Pumpkins should be arriving around 6pm tonight (rendezvous point established, just need to wait for phone call).

I hear you with the packing. I did a few too many trades all at once. One guy I traded with on BA, I met up with in person as he was passing through the area for a beer exchange. We chatted for a few minutes about beer and BA, and he talked about the fact that he had over 150 beers at his house that he hadn't got around to sampling yet. The funny part about our exchange is that he was on his way through on his day off just to check out a couple of stores in the Sacramento area that he heard about. Dude drove 1.5 hours from the Bay Area to find some new beers to sample.About then is when I asked him how he kept track of it all. He reached into his car and grabbed a neat stack of papers. It was a spreadsheet. He had categorized every beer he sampled (organized by style and rating), plus every beer he had in his posession that he hadn't got a chance to try yet. He told me that he kept it with him most of the time just in case he happened to be somewhere and found an unknown beer, he would know if he had tried it or if he already had it at home.I have tons of beer around the house and ended up creating a spreadsheet to keep track of it all.![]()

I'm working on catching up. Don't think I'll make it though.
Just a friendly reminder. Beer in growlers doesn't keep terribly long, so don't wait too long to drink it.Tip Top, I just got the Growler of Masala Mama delivered to my door.
BIG thanks!! Im sending 3 packages out this weekend, yours being one of them (Fro and Skylord's too)
Ill pm tracking numbers to you guys when they hit the road.

Urban legend. The beer will be fine.I'm working on catching up. Don't think I'll make it though.Question for no one in particular. I've always heard that if beer is refrigerated, it's best to keep them there until you drink them. You think there'd be much damage to a beer if it's bought chilled, then brought home and stored in a pantry? The temperature difference would probably be about 25 degrees. The pantry stays dark and is somewhere between 65 and 70. One store I buy from chills everything, so I only buy what I plan to drink within a week (already have most of the top shelf of the fridge stocked).
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I checked today. That's it. Still didn't buy it though.Deus can get pricey. That might be itI'm kicking myself because I can't remember the name of it right now, but the local Bevmo stock a Beligian that is about $30 for a 750ml bottle. I can see the bottle in my head, but can't remember what it is. Trout probably knows.
One of these days I should just break down and buy it.

limited production on that one. i bet Tip Top can get it.. but if you want more, let me know. it's available around here right now.Speaking of New Glarus, I'm having a beer the Furley sent me in our last trade....the Unplugged Cherry Stout. WOW! If you don't like fruit beers, stay away. But if you do...
This beer is wild. So much cherry flavor! Wife keeps stealing sips and its pissing me off....apparently she's a fan too.

I reviewed it early in the thread. It was great.
Never mind, thinking of a differnt beer.Lionshead. Very good for $11 a case. (That's not a typo).
The drawback is that it's only sold in Eastern PA. Can't get it where I live in NJ, have to pick it up when I visit Philly.

Thanks to FatMax I found Buster's Liquors here in Memphis. I made it by there today and I'm glad I did. I picked up:
750ml Duvel
750ml La Fin Du Monde
4pk of Ayinger Celebrator
just finished off the Celebratorwatching Walk The Line and about to go with the Duvel along with some Cash playing.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
man I'm gonna be hitting that place once a week for awhile. There were so many more I wanted to buy but thought it better to get just a few at a time.Dumb question - I drank the Celebrator first and I have a nice little buzz and I'm not getting a good taste for the Duvel so I wanted to save a little for tomorrow. Is it fine to keep the bottle in the fridge open or what should I do since there's no chance of hell of getting the cork back in it?Thanks to FatMax I found Buster's Liquors here in Memphis. It's a Belgian styled ale brewed by Unibroue (sp?) in Canada. Very good. They are one of three, IMO, North American breweries that do justice to real Belgian beers. Allagash and Ommegang are the others.
Or you could do it the easy way.
