What kind of beer is everyone drinking tonight? (2 Viewers)

I'll have to pick up the Chipotle this weekend and try it.
:X
That's what I think every time I see it, but EG says it's alright. For $7 I'll give it a shot.
It's the only beer I can remember pouring out. And I'll drink anything.
Interesting. I have to admit, it was the last of about 8 bombers I drank that night (plus some whiskey and a 6-pack of Bud earlier in the day), but I didn't find it to be unpleasant at all. I wouldn't rank it among my favorites, but I'd drink it again for sure - definitely wouldn't pour it out.

As cheap as I am, it saddened me to pour it out. I could have choked it down I guess. It was kind of a letdown too. I love hot/spicy food. I love beer. Best of both worlds. It's not horrible, but I'll definitely never buy it again.

Just about to pop the cork on a Left Hand Twin Sisters Double IPA
I'll need to keep an eye out for this one. Does it come in a 750 like the Chainsaw did?
Yes it does. It's really good too. Very thick and oily.
Dude, I need this beer. Can you get more? Lefthand is a brewery close to my heart. I was with them in the begining and I will be with them in the end.

First time with the Dead Guy Ale and it is solid. One I'd go back to for sure.

Paid $5 for a 750 of it the other night at Trader Joe's.

Paid $5 for a 750 of Ommegang Abbey (TJs again)

What would these normally cost? just trying to gauge how cheap TJs is for beer.
Since when is Dead guy in 750s?I have seen bombers and growlers, but not 750s.
oooops, "rookie mistake"i confirmed 650 ml on the dead guy, not 750.
22oz bombers are the Rogue standard.
Rogue bombers run $4.99-$5.99 here in Orlando, with one exception - I think it was an Imperial Stout, which was $8.99.Had the Smoke Ale the other day - their version of a Rauchbier. Wow - that was an interesting beer - they say that it has a delicate smoke flavor - I find it to be anything but. Rogue uses very bold flavors, I've found, and I dig it.
 Rogue Imperial Stout is $13 here.
Really? Wow - either I am not remembering correctly or I might need to go get some bombers today.I am going straight Rogue next time I go to Knightly, as I know they have at least 7-8 varieties, and probably all of them, if I know this guy. Any other favorites, as I have only had the Chocolate Stout, Smoke Ale, and Dead Guy Ale?
I  the Hazelnut Brown Nectar. On the Rogue IS, I only seem to be able to find the ceramic bottles. Maybe the regular glass bottled ones are cheaper.
It only comes in ceramic bottles. An it is $13 even at the Rogue Brew House here in SF. I think he is mistaken.

Okay we need to set us up the trade. Anything else you interested in from the left?

Let me see what I get in a couple packages on the way. In the meantime I will pick up a bottle of it for you.

i'd like to know what style of beer, a say, Unibroue Trois Pistoles is when i see it on the shelves.

it's not intuitive from the name... like a New Glarus Hearty Hop is going to be.

#### like that. don't want to pass up a style i might really like (Belgian Pale Ale) because the beer is named "Grand Piano" or something.

and i don't want to foolishly pass up a beer i might like that's rare and highly rated.. if i have a list i'll feel better prepared.

eta: from a quick glance at RB, they don't list style. just the name.. unless the style (Lake Louie Milk Stout) is part of the name.
Tres Pistoles. The style is listed right under the name. A Belgian Strong Ale

See it?

Possible. Are there any others in their line that would sell for more than the standard $4.99-$5.99? I could have sworn I saw an Imperial Stout, but maybe either it was mislabeled or it was $13 and there was another one that was $8.99 and I just confused them somehow.

We have Rogue essentially everywhere here. Best I've ever seen the ceramic I2PA and RIS is $11. Usually they are $13 here too. They are very good, but tres expensive - there are better ones for less bucks (Stone for example)

Definitely go with the Mocha Porter and Shakespeare Stout if you haven't had them before - the 2 top ones they make imo. Dead Guy is great too, as is the Hazelnut and Chocolate Stout. Chipotle is a little off the beaten path, but I've always enjoyed the pepper beers.

I have the Smoke Ale but haven't tried it yet. Picked up their malt liquor (put out for Father's Day) but haven't had that either. People just keep sending me too much good beer :banned:
Thanks for the tips.I have never had a Stone beer - they don't import into Florida and I haven't been on a trip out of state (except to Cancun and Grand Cayman) since I first learned of the brewery.

You should jump in BIF II. I would think that whoever sent to you could make sure to hook you up with some Stone.

What is the deal with Stones RIS? The places around here seem to be getting plenty of the Arrogant *******, IPA, and Ruination IPA but they never seem to receive any RIS and they have homes for it so I assume that they're ordering it.

You mean I can get something you guys can't? Maybe we can talk beer trade. :)
i'm listening.
I'll check this weekend again but I'm pretty sure I can get bombers of the Stone brews I listed earlier with no problem (Arrogant *******, IPA, Ruination) and the Rogue bombers I listed earlier. What I want? I have no idea. I like wheats, porters, stouts, saisons. Just don't like anything real hoppy.

Hey can you get the Bell's Wheat Project beers?
