I don't know about the thread, but I'm willing to bet either is or has been a "standard" for many that post here. I've pretty much got it running through my veins at this point. I replaced it with DFH 60 Minute IPA as my standard for a little while, but SNPA's wider availability means that I drink a lot more of it.Cranking up the Hercules now. NY/New England has a tong of outstanding winter brews - a few hop bombs, but most of them malty SOBs, some spiced, some not. Should be able to work out a trade once the weather here gets a bit colder.

haven't had any Doppelbock's yet.. but i did have a Blonde Doppelbock and i guess i just figured it was representative of the whole style. (
the BA description makes Doppelbock sound exactly like my kinda beer. but i'm gunshy from the Blonde.
I ended up staying home to wait for a guy to come look at it. Only shipping place close by is a Pak Mail (a "UPS Authorized Shipping Outlet"). According to the UPS website the charge should been around $11. They charged me more than $18. I asked the guy about it and he said it was due to fuel costs. I thought about taking my box and leaving but the next nearest location is 15-20 miles one way so I figured it wasn't worth it and bent over, took it and said "thank you".
