Oh, and BTW, hacing a Mendocino Winter Ale (IPA) 2005 edition. Held up pretty well.

Not quite as big of a hop bite but still packs a punch.

Hey buddy. I'm starting to think that I had a ####load of red wine tonight.
You feeling attracted to wingnut?
I think I'm starting to. Why don't you send me some pics of your wife so I can finish myself off and go to sleep?

Skylord>hiWhats happening on the West Coast?
Watching Willard. Some effed up movie about rats with Crispin Glover. Its an odd one for sure.
That dude is creepy. Finally got my hands on some 2006 SN Celebration. Gonna have one later. Had it yet?
This is the creepiest the guy has ever been.I have had the 2006. Tastes a lot like the 2005, I don't think they change their recipe. Nothing wrong with that though.

Another Hop Wallop. This stuff tastes good, but smells kind of funky.P.S. Hi KT
:hey: Somebody is getting a buzz on a work night. Sorry you don't have Bells anymore. We should be seeing some in the next week or two, but they aren't distributing the Two Hearted yet. I am sober tonight but should be drinking beers and playing pool tomorrow night.

WHAT DO SQUIRRELS AND STONE HAVE IN COMMON?

The squirrel is well known for constantly gathering and storing nuts for the winter. So much so that the little critter's name has become a verb. Let’s take a second to look at the definition of the word “squirreling” according to Wikipedia...

“Squirreling is the storing, hoarding or saving of something against the day it will be scarce or otherwise be difficult to find in the future.”

For the past six years we’ve been taking this definition to the extreme by meticulously squirreling beer into what we refer to as the “Stone Archive.” Well, we took the first half from the squirrel’s playbook “constantly gathering and storing” - now it’s time we move on to the second part... pulling out our bounty for the winter. What better time to do so? This month is a time for sharing at our newly opened Stone World Bistro & Gardens.

We're having a Stone Winter Storm event at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on Christmas Eve with an avalanche of 32 DIFFERENT STONE BEERS ON TAP AT THE SAME TIME! You heard right, 32 DIFFERENT STONE BEERS ON TAP AT THE SAME TIME! That isn’t even mentioning the 8 other Stone bottled beers we're pulling from our archive as well. All of these beers will go on tap the moment we open at 10am on Sunday, December 24th and will remain on until New Year's Day (or until each beer is gone).

We're so excited about this event, that we can't wait. So to relieve a bit of the anxiety, we're going to pull something we've squirreled away each day for the twelve days leading up to Christmas Eve! All in all, we're going to serve 42 different Stone beers at the Bistro in a 13 day period. The crew in the Stone Company Store has gotten in the spirit as well, pulling out some great selections for growler fills and an amazing New Years Eve 2006 Growler Fill Year In Review. Also, we'll be having a special Mike's Beer Cheese night at the Bistro. (No, we didn't pull out six year old beer cheese!) So below is a day by day list of what we have in store for you this December...

A FEW GROUND RULES:

Serving sizes and prices will vary depending on alc/vol and rarity of supply. All bottles must be enjoyed on premise, if you buy it - the cap comes off - these beers are not available for take home. You need a minimum of two people to purchase a 22oz bottle of archived beer. Don’t worry though, if you don’t have someone to share it with, we bet we can put a match together. Many of these beers have been cellared for a long time. Over time the flavors of these beers have changed. If the condition of a beer has degraded past the point of drinkability, we will accommodate you. If you just don't care for the beer, you knew the risk going in - we're not responsible for your personal taste. If you've been doing your own squirreling and want to enjoy your prize with us, we want to encourage you! So feel free to bring along any Stone beer over 2 years old and check it in at the host stand and we'll waive the “corkage fee.” It's your job to make sure you bring it at the proper serving temperature.

I'll see what I can do. Need to find out what sort of restrictions they have, etc
Any growler of a non regular released beer (double dry hopped versions included) would be greatly appreciated. I will see what I can dig up around here for something out of the ordinary.

Another reason to move to SD :banned: Last nights menu:Surly Furious - 16oz can <------------- Thanks Tip Top - Loved this beer. LOVED IT   2 - 12 oz Racer 5 IPA
Glad you liked it. It's so nice to have a really good brewery here now. They only can two different beers right now and only do growlers once a week. Can't wait until stuff like their Imperial Stout is easier to get. Going to try to pick up a growler or two of Coffee Bender this week.

Hey all, flying into Boston Monday. I have some time to load up on some beer. What should I pickup?

Breckenridge Christmas Ale

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

St. Bernardus Abt. 12 (750ml)
