How is it? Does it hide that 11% well?
Ugh, missed your BA review, guess I could just read that.
Most beers I drink that haven't gone down my throat before make it into a review now.
I am not articulate enough to write up every beer I drink... I do thank people like you who do, as it does help me decide which to purchase.

You have to start somewhere. I still struggle to find the words to try to describe what I am drinking. I review more for myself as a "what have I had" than for others, but if it helps others then great.

I am starting to add my brews to my what I gots... this is what helps me remember if I had tried it or not. I know I am missing a ton, but they will come to me.

Having a Rogue Santa's Private Reserve along with a couple of drunk fruit fly's (or some sort of small winged bug). Guess they came in with the Christmas tree I brought in from outside. :hot: Glad I found the praying mantis nest attached to the tree before they hatched. 100 or so of those in the house woulda sucked.

It wasn't tonight, but over the Thanksgiving holiday I had alot of some kind of red ale from the Blue & Gray Brewery in Fredericksburg, VA. Good stuff. My BIL bought it in a 2 gallon keg called a pig. I don't know if they even bottle it. There were a couple of other varietals that we drank out of big pitchers called growlers.

Hopped a few parties last night but wasn't at one of em for more than an hour so i didnt want to bust out the double ******* that i had brought (in fears of "yo we're leaving, pound that ####" half way through). i ended up drinking half of a couple natural ice's and some other ####.

i long for that double *******.

Had a Goose Island 312 last night. Bland lemony tasting watery wheat. Nothing to see here.

So let's see --- water leaking in the basement is a bad thing right? One of the water pipes for the radiator in my daughter's room sprung a leak. All over a bunch of boxes and stuff. Looks like I need to start drinking early today.

Thanks. Not much that matters got damaged. So far the biggest piece was a wardrobe moving box that had some older clothes in it. Probably should give away those dress shirts and pants anyway. Have to toss some empty boxes that are for things we use in the house (TV, stereo, etc). But far better than it could have been. Unfortunately, we are experienced at the "trickle of water in the basement" thingy. We had basement wall leaks for a whle when we first moved in. We got the basement waterproofed and a sump pump, etc. The joys of living in a house built in 1927 are many. This is obviously not one of them.So things that matter were up off the floor mostly. The stuff that was directly under it was dishes and glasses and a few larger items. Really the only thing there was an extra microwave (bye bye). Sucks to have to mess with cleaning that crap up, but I'll take it considering the alternative of having a true mess down there. Almost done now......

Wingnut's BOTMC selection -- Ybor Gold Amber Lager

After spending from 8:30 to 2:30 in the basement cleaning and tossing wet ####, this was actually pretty dammed good. I normally don't like ambers. And hate lagers except when bowling or fishing (both the only activities that Miller High Life was made for). But this wasn't bad. Just don't tell Wingnut please. Wouldn't want him getting a big ego. He wouldn't fit through the door at home. Although it's warm down there in Florida, so he can just sleep outside.

Running Back By Commity? I can offer Westbrook.

I going to be trying to put a better dent in my DuClaw Mother's Milk growler tonight. I dont recommend 64oz of barelywine loviness for 1 person even over 2 days

Gouden Carolus Grand Cru (or Carolus D'Or for those who speak another tongue). This beer is fantastic. Everything you would want in a belgian strong dark ale. Caramel, toffee, candy sugar. God bless the Belgians.
