Skye, I think it's time you think about selling a bottle or two.
I never understood how these beers are any different than any other ageable beer.
They aren't ageable...not for the most part.I think they are just rare. I wonder what number out there is...
I see. So these will just never be opened..or maybe opened and poured down a drain and the bottle put in display..yes...I see.
By 1212 they will NOT be drinkable...but thats not going to stop me from selling them.
WTF happened? Last few 02's I've seen on Ebay have been selling for just over 300.They were _designed_ to last until 12.12.12, but the word is that they won't make it that long. The most recent tasting notes at Stone's website say they are still standing up, though.

Saturday night got a little too crazy. Wife was not real happy with me on the deck...we were up there until 4am with some neighbors. Guess I was a little too  :loco: :excited: :banned:  :suds: :porked: :D :tfp: She gave me details the next morning. :hangover:
Gotcha by the balls eh?
Not really. I just felt like #### all day Sunday and still didn't feel 100% yesterday morning. My body doesn't like me right now.

Drinking a Paulaner Salvator (they were outta Celebrator) here at a bar all by myself... I am pathetic

Waiting on my flight, so I am gonna get trashed here (Tap Werks in OKC) decent place for import brews... unfortunately I am a Micro guy, so I dont know all these brews too well.

Finished my Hacker Pschorr before heading here.

I think Two Hearted and Third Coast Old Ale look sorta the same but I don't think so. I will check when I get home which won't be for another 7 hours or so. Whether I will be able to bum internet off of the neighbor at that hour is another story.I'll probably go after that CynicAle tonight.

WTF does the brewery care whether or not it's turned? Their tasting notes for other brews have stated "you should drink these now".

Regardless of drinkability, it is a HIGHLY collectible beer. Only 3000 cases of 12 bottles made. That ain't much and I suspect there's less than 10% of that amount remaining.

If the brewery wants to keep making max profit, it's in their best interest PR-wise to say this beer is still standing up as close to 2012 as possible. That's why they care. Why admit to a mistake 5 years in? Why admit to that mistake, period? If you look at the reviews on RB from the last year, the reviews are adequate at best. And considering the reviews are below the average, that means that they are getting worse. How can a beer be standing up when it was marketed to last 10 years and can't even make 5?

let's see what I sent Fro so far...

Kentucky Breakfast stout x 4 - 1

Bells Expedition Stout*

Bells Kalamazoo Stout

Bells Hop Slam*

Founders Centenial IPA*

Arcadia London Porter

220z

Arcadia Hopmouth Double IPA

750 ml - Champaign Bottle

Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga The Firefly

Many many more brews here brah, just let me know what and when.

Another bridgeport (they were outta 2 other brews I wanted, Rochefort 10 and Rogue Brown Nectar). Hadn't tried the rogue Hazlenut, and since I didnt have a 3rd off the top of my head went with the avg IPA. Oh well.. off to the airport peas fellas.

Last 10 reviews on BA say differently Worst is a 3.95 out of 5.Worst on RB is a 3.5. Those are hardly "below average", and all recent reviews are nearly in line (on average) with the total ranking.

I don't factor in the BA reviews because only Skylord and someone else had a review on it recently. The others are from past yrs.The avg on RB is 4 and most reviews (which there have been several) indicate the beer to be in the high 3's. Doesn't seem like much but that's substantial considering most reviews fall between 3 and 4.

BTG is really dead?
I'm sure it'll be back soon. Then go down again.
Yeah, I am losing confidence in our phpbb site.
Rounding up donations for the imdb board?
Is your problem the web host or the PHPBB? Try switching to SMB, I could help with the conversion if you need it. Also, if its a hosting thing, whoever is running it, PM me and I can help there also.
I've been doing quite a bit of learning in the past week about new online stuff. Just discovered RSS for one and XML. I will take a look at this over the next few days when I have the opportunity.

I've had the bridgeport too. It's quite pedestrian. I'd hesitate to call it a IPA. More like a APA. As an APA it would rate higher.
