What picks would you expect to get for rookie pick 1.1? (1 Viewer)

I've recieved a couple of offers on my 1.1. Example...

I'd give up 1.1 and my 4th and 5th to move back to 1.5 and pickup his 3rd and 4th.

Gotten a couple offers like this. Seems low to me. (This is a startup so no veterans to trade just yet.)

What would you expect to get for 1.1. as far as picks go? I seem to recall Sigmund mentioning on the audible that he'd given his entire draft for the 1.1 in a ppr so he could get dez.

He might give up his entire rookie draft to move up- a start up is completely different. What are the actual pick numbers?

ROOKIE DRAFT....for me I would either need a top 4-5 pick in the 1st round this year and either a high 2nd this year or 1st next year to even start talking.

If it's the rookie draft you're talking about you should get at least one top 5 1st rd pick and a top 8 1st rd pick I would want two top 5 picks for the 1.1.

I'm confused, is this a start-up draft or a rookie draft? You say it's a start-up draft early on in your post, but then at the end of it you talk about taking Dez at 1.01.

If it's a rookie draft, then unless the guy with 1.05 has another early first rounder that he acquired via trade, there's no offer (of just picks) he could make that I would accept. This isn't the NFL. Picks beyond the 2nd round are worth virtually nothing in trade, and even 2nd rounders are worth very, very little. If the guy with the 1.05 offered me his entire draft for 1.01, I wouldn't even think about accepting it for a second.

If this is a start-up draft then it's completely different, though I still think it would take a lot for me to move out of the top 4 where you'd end up with one of CJ, AD, MJD, or Rice. I think there's a draft pick calculator specifically for start-up dynasty drafts floating around here somewhere. At least there was when we did our startup ~5 years ago.

Depends on what I'm getting in return.

To move from 1.01 to 1.02, it wouldn't take much, since Mathews and Dez are pretty much a wash in non-PPR. A 2nd rounder would probably be enough for me to give up the right to choose between them. To move down to 1.03 would be a bit more because I view those guys as noticeably better than Jahvid Best, although not substantially better. In all likelihood, depending on my team needs, I'd probably be fine with a very late first or very early second for that (1.11 to 2.02 range). To move down to 1.04 would take a lot more, because I don't like Spiller nearly as much as the first three. Talks would start at a mid-first rounder (i.e. 1.01 for the 1.04 and 1.07), although even then I wouldn't pull the trigger unless my team had a lot of holes, because I'm really just not that sold on Spiller.

To move out of the top 4 entirely, you're looking at a major ransom, because the dropoff between top picks and middle picks is really steep. For instance, to move from 1.01 to 1.05, I might ask for a package of something like pick 1.05, a pick in the 1.11 to 2.02 range, *AND* a 2011 first rounder, and even then I'd only do it if the other team was poor enough that I felt there was a high likelihood that the 2011 first would become a premium pick.

Sorry for any confusion. In my case the veteran draft is seperate and hasn't taken place yet. So I'm strictly looking at trading rookie picks this years next years etc. Hopefully that's clear.

I agree with most of you guys. I'm pretty much 99% set on keeping the pick just though the offers so far seemed low. I suppose they'll ramp up as the draft day approaches.
