What song are you listening to right now? (3 Viewers)

Billy Bob at the Grand ol Opry. A man of many talents.

Listening to Foxing in light of the news today that the band is breaking up. They're a tough band to categorize; I guess they're spiritually Emo but more diverse musically especially the farther they went along as a band.

I've always liked bands that don't really sound like anyone else and Foxing was one of those. A powerhouse live act as well.

This sucks. I have lots of their songs intertwined with my chillout playlists.

Lattie Moore - I'm Not Broke But I'm Badly Bent (1953)

Country/Rockabilly artist best remembered for this song, because it has been covered by numerous artists, including The Tractors, Old And In The Way and Ricky Skaggs.

Mount Rushka - Weathervane (2024)

Banger from Fernie B.C., Canada band with a retro classic harder rock sound. 🎸

Hello People - Future Shock (1975 Single version)

🎶Into the void boy, into the void🎶

"Brilliant then and now!"

Produced by Todd Rundgren. Future Shock charted at #71 US Billboard Hot 100.

Sorry, not available on Spotify

going into the wayback metal machine - "Take Hold of the Flame"

Bethlehem Steel - Bad Girl (2019)

"A terrific hook that propels the song, which in turn sets the stage for great ensemble work."

"Great tune, lots of passion, really lays itself bare."

One of those bangers that just fell through the cracks and everyone missed. Heard it for the first time a few days ago.

Herbie Mann - Comin' Home Baby (1964 Live At the Village Gate)

Jazz Instrumental with Herbie's incomparable flute. Lyrics were added later, and the vocal version became a US Billboard Top 40 Pop Music, R&B hit for Mel Torme.

good looking out @Juxtatarot
Live version (I like the sax and trumpet at the end):

They are playing with Geese in Detroit in October. I might have to see them. Also I have to learn who Geese is. I know Goose but not Geese lol.

Geese are excellent too. New album coming soon. This is from their last one:

Like their big song Taxes and overall the album is good but not sure I get the mega reception they have gotten. Truly the "it" band of 2025 no doubt it. That big outdoor Brookyln performance. Not sure it's totally for me though.

Arkayla - Ella Mallone (2024)

Manchester UK band with a tune that is close to Pop Music perfection.

This came out last year and had I heard it then it would have made my year end Top 10 list.

David Allen Coe-You Never Even Called Me by My Name. "I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison" The perfect country and western song.

El Floppo's son went to school with them, I think (I think like a Juilliard high school). We've sort of kicked their tires four at least two or three years now. Heh.

Yeah I do remember him mentioning that. They are the big new thing in the indie rock scene so that’s pretty cool.

Brent Cobb-living the dream

"Kinda feels like this
Whole thing's a smoke screen
But it don't owe me a doggone thing"

Kind of funny. Cameron Winter (of Geese) apparently covers Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” in this XBox ad, and Geese fans are clamoring for the whole song to be released. I’ll admit I’d like to hear it!
