I'm going Vampire Weekend's Modern Vampires Of The City, but I don't know enough.

Why don't you like reggae?Caveat.... I'm myopically fixated right now and not remembering other albums that turned my crank... but I don't remember having the blinders on for an album the way I do for IDLES' Brutal in a long time.
Oh, we were talking this particular decade, but I'm not stifling debate. 2007-2017 leaves a lot more open for me.If we are talking past 10 year, Them Crooked Vultures (2009) is my favorite
In Rainbows and For Emma, Forever Ago also from 2007.2007... Iirc, had spoon, arcade fire and lcd soundsystem come out with fantastic albums
I say do this decade and if you want to go back a few years, go ahead. It's up for grabs.Frightened Rabbit's Midnight Organ Fight(2008) would be a close 2nd.
If it's just from this decade I'd go with Modern Vampires of the City or The Suburbs.
You can like what you like, I'll like what I like.
Kind of why I asked, actually. No shame in that. I've moved backwards, not forwards. It's sad, but I can't name a single album in the last ten years. The entire concept is so foreign to me now, when 20 years back I would be able to name maybe 100.
This is my #1.The Dreaded Marco said:Frightened Rabbit's Midnight Organ Fight(2008) would be a close 2nd.
Boys are leaving town. Also, Celebration Rock.
You are missing some good stuff. Google the names and start enjoyingMy god this thread makes me feel old - not only do I not know 98% of the albums but I've never even heard of half of these artists.
GET OFF MY LAWN!!!
Doubt it. New music sucksYou are missing some good stuff. Google the names and start enjoying
first time you posted this didn't get the response you were looking for, eh?Doubt it. New music sucks
I'll never miss a chance to discuss one of my favorites like The Walkmen, that's for sure.first time you posted this didn't get the response you were looking for, eh?
Yeah Arctic Monkeys album titled AM.I don't know, either.
eta* Arctic Monkeys, maybe?
Neon Bible qualifies and is pretty great. The Vampire Weekends are a good call also. The O.P. mentioned Spoon which is up there.Arcade Fire - The Suburbs
I liked Post-Nothing just a bit more, and was quoting it back a page because I forgot the difference between the two when I was, um, under the weather.Celebration Rock gets my vote too
