If you had to drink one, would it be Coke/Diet Coke or Pepsi/Diet Pepsi?

Gave it up in 2007. Before that, Coke > Pepsi but preferred root beer, fruit sodas and Dr. Pepper to either. Even Sprite

I drink coke but if I am doing a rum and coke it is coke zero. Regular coke and rum is just a bit too sweet so the zero tones it down just a touch.

I was strictly a pepsi drinker for most of my life. But not sure when, but the last decade or so I've been getting coke when I get a burrito or burger.
I read somewhere that Pepsi won the cola wars because it's sweeter than Coke, but that Coke is far more popular because it goes better with food.

Coke here (well, Coke Zero, when I drink pop).

Easily Coke here. Nothing goes with pizza better than Coke. Not even good wine or beer. Sorry, it's that acidic, peppery stuff that I crave. I love it. Add to that taste that it's got caffeine, and I go cuckoo for it with food when I'm in need of a pick-me-up.

I dislike Pepsi. Syrupy sweet and no carbonation. What's the point? If I want molasses, I'll order molasses.

But neither of them beat the drinkability and healthy goodness of my daily friend Perrier and S. Pellegrino, purveyors of fine carbonated mineral water. That stuff is the bomb.

Literally heard this today at a restaurant when a colleague tried to order a coke.

They always ask people that. I usually just meekly say "yeah, that's cool," but I really want to tear my hair out and just get a lemon-lime soda at that point. If you're going to give a crappy cola, give me the Uncola™

Haven't heard that term for 7up for a long time.

Grew up Pepsi, prefer Coke now.

I think the Coke sales numbers are helped a great deal by McDonald's, Burger King, Subway, Arby's, etc. Just imagine how much Coke McDonald's alone sells.

Was hoping it wasn't just me. I've always felt Pepsi was considerably more flat. That's always been my main issue with it.

My answer to "is pepsi ok?" is always... I'll have a water with lemon.

lol... funny reading some responses especially about Pepsi being too syrupy - thats exactly how I feel about canned coke

Mexican bottles of Coke
4-pack is $7.25
Single $2.35

I don't care for Pepsi but they do have real sugar ones from time to time that I'll have a sip of.
Craft soda market is pretty big but I always love the original Coca-Cola

FWIW... I love several Faygo flavors, but their Cola is pretty awful. Rock'n Rye, Root Beer and Red Pop are solid AF

I don't want to upset folks but diet soda has ben linked to so many health issues including cancer and so is regular soda with HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP

I voted Mexican Coke or real sugar cokes/pepsi but please understand we're talking once in a while, this isn't something I drink on a daily basis or even weekly sometimes.
My wife enjoys a Vanilla Stoli and coke sometimes at the end of a long day/week so I keep them around so I can play bartender at home.

Real sugar sodas are still basically liquid sugar and not healthy but if you are going to pick one of these, far better off with the real thing IMHO.

Rarely drink coca-cola, but of the two I slightly prefer Coke.

I actually like RC Cola better than both.

Ok grandpa.
ACME used to sell cans of soda for $ .10 they were labeled cola, root beer, orange, lemon lime on a white can. Orange was the best
I remember these, too! My dad was notoriously cheap- like when he opened his wallet, George Washington was wearing sunglasses cheap.

We only ever had soda on ‘special occassions’ He bought those a couple times and they wouldn’t get drunk. We asked him why he even bought them. He said: “If I buy the regular brands, you all will just drink them up too fast.” That’s kinda the point, Dad!
