Until recently, I needed the TV on to fall asleep, but it would then wake me throughout the night. Now I'm pitch black dark guy.
What about a fan of some sort or a white noise generator? I find that a TV changes pitch/tone too much and then I start focusing on what is being said and it wakes me up a bit.Darker the better but I need sound to fall asleep, both to settle the mind and drown out the ringing in the ears, so sometimes having a TV on is good.
I found it also will bring out of starting to fall asleep when the tone changes or I start listening to the words and it brings me out of sleep mode.Until recently, I needed the TV on to fall asleep, but it would then wake me throughout the night. Now I'm pitch black dark guy.
I have a air purifier that puts out just enough wind noise to block out most outside noises. What about a fan of some sort or a white noise generator? We have a ceiling fan and it's not enough (not complaining about a nice quiet ceiling fan though). I do use these videos quite a bit on a timer and they help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOe_xuSuZyM&t=5303sWhat about a fan of some sort or a white noise generator? Wireless earbuds/headphones down? Or THIS?I like darkness and some sound to distract me, so I usually sleep with headphones on and the phone tucked under the pillow.
I run the risk of strangling myself in my sleep or setting the bed on fire when the phone overheats but I sleep like a baby.

do you have to add ice and water to these every night? If your house is too warm at night and you cannot win the battle of the thermostat I highly recommend the below product. It is an air conditioner for your mattress and it works really well. It is kindy pricey up front, i think i paid around 500 dollars give your take.
